To start out, the owners of the home were absolutely lovely to work with. They were quick to respond and were very trusting when I told them the home would be used to host a dinner party for a teen boy. As for the property, the rooms were as described and the pictures were fairly accurate. This was my first time utilizing a short-term rental, so take that into account as you consider this review. With that said, my biggest complaint about the home was its uncleanliness. I felt the home needed a real good deep clean from top to bottom. Dirt was clearly visible on nearly every hard surface. And I don't mean dust, I mean in need of a good scrub. This was especially noticeable since the walls, doors, window sills, baseboards, cabinets, stair risers, etc. were painted white. The rugs in some of the bedrooms were in need of shampooing and the bed linens were on the verge of needing to be replaced. Much of the kitchenware was well past its usefulness and my aunt used quite a bit of elbow grease trying to get pots/pans clean enough to use.I think the listing has great potential to be a "lux" property, but it isn't there yet. It's clear that the property was purchased primarily for investment purposes, and a bit more investment in quality linens, kitchenware and more important a good cleaning crew would make this a fantastic short term rental.Would I rent again in its current condition? Probably not. Would I if the necessary adjustments described above were made? Absolutely!
