Great location, unit, host, and view, but Wyndham hotel staff are atrocious

Andy was a great host, but the Wyndham staff members were horrible. A pipe apparently burst in some of the rooms which we were not told prior to arriving, so upon checking in they told us we were being moved to a room in a different building than the one we booked, with no view, no functioning AC in the main bedroom, and twin beds. It took almost 24 hours for us to get moved into a room we should have originally had, only because we persistently kept asking to be moved and for the status of the room. The front desk staff and manager were terrible, and not apologetic for their massive shortcoming, refusing a refund. Once we were eventually in our unit it was somewhat smooth sailing with a nice view and prime location. The AC in the living room didn’t flow well into the bedroom so the nights were warm, but not as bad as the unit they first put us in with no AC. While this was no fault of our host’s, and we appreciated how he refunded us for the first night’s shortcomings, it’s unfortunate the staff at this property has such poor customer service and hopefully they learn to be better.

Wonderful resort and location

The property is very well kept with beautiful flowers and the pool area is great and relaxing-the location is perfect a very short walk to all restaurants and shops. Andrew my host was very responsive and accommodating! Wonderful one bedroom with a beautiful view of the marina. Thanks!

Girls getaway

Great location! Walking distance to many restaurants and shops
enjoyed the rooftop in the mornings and early evenings

On The Harbor

You really have to look for "The Inn" as opposed to the main Wyndham building (where the pools and check-in are located). However, it's well worth the effort - beautiful views, an easily accessible and well-equipped unit, VERY comfortable bed, and a TV that you can "cast" to - plus a full-size refrigerator. The Inn could use more parking, but having to park across the street at the main building was not a problem. The shops and restaurants of Thames Avenue were close, too. We had a great time and would happily rebook with Andy if we decide to return to the area. Thanks for a great stay!

Really great location to walk to all that Newport has to offer. You are able to use all resort amenities with your stay as well!

Great stay

We had a great stay! There were some renovations going on while we were there and the indoor pool and one outdoor pool was closed, but we were informed ahead of time. The location is amazing and walking distance to many of the major spots in Newport. Will definitely be back next summer!

Great location!

Awesome location, within walking distance of all the wharves! We had a few rather loud neighbors during our stay but security was able to come up in the middle of the night which was nice. Overall would recommend!

Great Stay!

We really enjoyed the property. Tons of amenities to enjoy but our favorite was coffee on the rooftop in the mornings. Plenty of room for 3 of us and beautiful views! Check in was so easy and we had no problems with parking. Very convenient and within walking distance to so many restaurants and shops.
