Summary:

Welcome to Casa Chachalaca!! Nestled in the hills above the Romantic Zone, you will find Casa Chachalaca.  With a short 5 min walk, you will find yourself in the heart of Old Town or Los Muertos beach.



The Space:

This amazing PV Getaways vacation condo has the feeling of both old world Mexican charm and new world tropical blend.   Throughout Casa Chachalaca, you will enjoy the special touches of wall murals as well as a collection of artwork, which flows out to the terrace.



Casa Chachalaca is a 2 bedroom 2 1/2 bathroom condo, with air conditioners throughout.  On the first level, you will enjoy the fully equipped kitchen to prepare the most incredible sunset dinners for you and your guests.  While enjoying your meal, you will be able to take in the spectacular Puerto Vallarta sunsets.  On the second level, you will get a great nice sleep in one of the 2 bedrooms.  Both bedrooms have king size beds with a full ensuite.  The third level is a private viewing deck.  Great for a morning coffee to start your day.



The complex itself has 10 units.  An amazing pool area for poolside lunches or for soaking up the Puerto Vallarta sun.  There is plenty of street parking for you and any guests.



Chachalaca – is a tree-dwelling bird that is mainly found in the tropical forests of Southern United States, Mexico and Central America.  If you call someone a Chachalaca, it mean “Chatty”.



Other Things to Note:

Maid service is available on request for an additional fee.  Supplies are provided at the beginning of your stay.  If you run out, it will be your responsibility to replace them.

Amazing View

Such a great spot to stay at. A word of advice for first time visitors is that this location is up a hill and below is a gulley so sound can and does travel. We ended up walking down the stairs into town or to the beach and usually taking a taxi back home. A few times we walked back, but it can be strenuous depending on the time of the day. The different birds that we saw were amazing and seeing the swallows flying up so high was fantastic. This was a real Vallarta treat being able to watch cruise ships come and go, see historical buildings such as the Cathedral and Casa Kimberly (Elizabeth Taylor’s previous residence) from the balcony, as well as fireworks every night - this was one of our favourite stays in Zona Romanitica.

Amazing

It is very rare that I stay at a place and think "I wish this were my home," but boy did this place give me home envy. And the view! Oy veh the view!!! Spectacular

Views view views!

The first thing you will notice about this apartment is the 180 degree beautiful view of the city and the bay from the living room balcony but that’s not all. The view is even better from the upstairs master bedroom. Great location on a hill but close to the action, huge fridge, 6 burner gas stove, laundry, access to shared patio with pool. We had a great time here. Property management team was excellent and super responsive. Recommend!

Nice property, but a few things to know

Overall property is lovely, the view is amazing. We had a few issues when we first arrived but the property manager, Chris, made it a priority to get these issues fixed as quickly as he could. Everything worked, but the hot water ran out during every shower, and the water pressure is quite variable. There is a resort just across the little valley from the condo and Fri- Sunday the music was blaring so loud we could not sit outside and hear each other when speaking, it went from 12p-10pm all three days. After that it was not an issue. The property manager assured us this is very unusual. Yes there are steps and if you are not reasonably fit you may want to plan a taxi or uber to get down into the romantic zone and back up again. We found it to be a quick walk and you were right in the middle of things. If you are dreaming of sunning yourself on the pool deck, think again. The pool deck for the condos does not have a drop of sun from sun up to sundown. It is shaded all the time. The 3rd floor roof deck is nice and there is a little sun up there during the day, but no where to lie down. We used the charcoal grill and it worked just great. There is also a gas grill you may use. Like I said, the condo itself is very nice and we would stay again, but no sun on the pool deck is a no go for us.
