Charming cottage with heated pool, tropical landscaping in prime location.

The Starfish Cottage has been recently renovated while maintaining all the charm of an old Florida Key West style bungalow. Enjoy the new private heated pool with lush tropical setting. The new kitchen provides plenty of storage , a full sized refrigerator and freezer, dishwasher, range and microwave. There's also an outdoor grill. The large screened in porch features a vaulted ceiling, large ceiling fans, plenty of seating including rocking chair and swing bench. On the porch a dining table accommodates 8 and a small bistro table seats 2.

Inside you'll find an open concept living space where dining area, kitchen and living room have been newly furnished with luxurious deep seat couches and lounge chairs, original hardwood floors add to the charm. Fresh linens, bath and beach towels are provided along with basic toiletries. Decor has been collected over time and obtained from local artists for a unique old Florida style.

Down the hall you'll find two comfortable bedrooms, each with a queen-size bed and large closets. The Master bathroom has been newly updated. Another full bathroom is conveniently located in the hall. Climb up the spiral staircase to the quaint loft which has 2 twin beds.

The cottage is in a terrific location, immediately east of Gulf Drive, a quick 200-yard walk will bring you right to the white-sand beach. With Pine Avenue and the village of Anna Maria 2 short blocks to the north, you can walk to everything. Pine Avenue offers restaurants, shopping, community theater, historic Roser Church, and the Anna Maria Historical Society Museum. A free trolley is available to get you around the entire island all the way south to Coquina Beach. Scooter and golf cart rentals are located within 100 yards.

Free WiFi, flatscreen cable/smart TV, deluxe wireless bluetooth speaker, books, and board games provide entertainment, while a private washer/dryer lets you take care of laundry. Keyless entry at the front door ensures easy access and security. The driveway has space to park four vehicles.

A NOTE ABOUT CHILDREN: Kids love the loft area. However, the spiral staircase could be dangerous for younger children. Therefore, this property is not recommended for children under 8 years old.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Perfect condition and location. The air conditioning did stop working on Friday evening, but the host was very responsive and had it repaired by Saturday morning. I would 100% book this property again.

Even better than expected!

Perfect beach house for our family. 5 min walk to white sand beaches, coffee, restaurants and more. Perfect location. Clean, nicely remodeled house. Pool was amazing. BBQ and everything else worked flawlessly

Absolutely perfect

We could have not enjoyed the property any more than we did!! The location was perfect
 a short walk to the ocean..and places to eat very close by. The pool was used by Grandkids non stop

Girls Trip

My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Charming Cottage. We experienced some crazy weather during our stay and the host was very communicative with us. They also helped when we experienced rental car issues. The house is conveniently located in walking distance to the beach, restaurants and shops. We can’t wait to plan another trip to AMI and experience better weather!

Perfect little beach house

We had a lovely time at the Starfish Cottage! Just the right distance from the beach access and local shops/restaurants, great shaded pool, clean with great decor throughout. Ice maker in the kitchen was a nice touch, as was the basket of cozy blankets in the living room. A/C worked great and the screened porch was a lovely respite from the heat. Would love to return!

The pool was a perfect size for our young children and it was delightful to retreat to the porch for morning coffee and evening night caps. The cottage is perched in such a wonderful location on the island—close proximity to beach, shops and restaurants. Loved our time here and wish it could have been longer!

Paradise!

This was our first visit to AMI, and we found that the location was perfect. We easily walked back and forth to the beach and to all the wonderful restuarants in the area. The cottage was even better than we imagined, and had all the ammenities. We especially loved the pool and hanging out on the front porch.

Perfect Beach Cottage

I spent my 49th birthday here with my two teenage sons. The home couldn’t have been more perfect! The beach decor is beautiful and the house feels like home. The beach is a very close walk. The pool was refreshing after a day at the beach. I actually felt like I was in the islands floating around the pool, which was surrounded by a lush tropical landscape. The grill came in handy as we ate dinner around the pool. The swing on the front porch was my favorite spot for coffee in the mornings and relaxing in the evening. The home is updated throughout and very clean. There are plenty of charming restaurants, bakeries and coffee shops near by but still away from the business of people. It’s quiet and actually my favorite part of the island. We enjoyed cooking at the house, they have everything you could need. We can’t wait to come back!

Home Away from Home

Great location! Walking distance from the beach is less than 5 minutes. We took daily morning walks to beach which was so peaceful. It really added to our trip. We've been to Anna Maria a few times and we absolutely love it. This house was a great house for the two of us celebrating our anniversary! Just an fyi for pool goers, the pool doesnt get mostly sunny until after 12:30. Which does alter the temp.

Home away from home

The cottage is lovely; it’s beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The large screened in porch is a great feature, with space for lounging and dining. The rental location is quite convenient, just a block and a half from the beach and just a little further to Pine Ave shops. We had a family emergency during our stay and Rasa was so kind and helpful, with great communication. We can’t wait to return!

A Perfect Stay

Everything about our VRBO experience on this trip was absolutely perfect. Rasa was a true pleasure to work with, and was so helpful answering questions we had about our stay before we arrived. The house was amazing!! Super clean, and put off incredible beach-vibes that really made the trip that much more enjoyable. The kids (ages 5 & 7) LOVED the loft, they both slept there the entire trip. There's really cool lighting up there, and the kids also dug the sky light. The front porch is great, with a bench swing and large table for eating/games/whatever else you wanna do, and 2 ceiling fans to help cool things down a bit. The pool was a true tropical oasis, a perfect size for our kids and us to splash in for hours every day, and it's completely surrounded by palm trees and other super cool plant life. The location, imo, is also perfect, being only just over a block to the beach, which we could have walked to every day but why walk when you can take a golf cart (trust me, you want a golf cart). Also very close to lots of shops/restaurants on Pine Ave. We had a rental car but only used it to get from and to the airport. I could go on and on. When we come back we definitely hope to stay here again.
