We typically rent to a maximum of 4 Guests with weekends to weekends check in and outs - 7 night stays especially during Prime Season, Spring Breaks, and Holidays. We also offer extended stays. We may be able to accommodate 5 nights stays during Non Prime Season, Non Spring Breaks, Fill in Times due to Extended Stay and Non Holidays. This Gorgeous Townhouse is DIRECTLY ON THE BEACH and you have your OWN PRIVATE BEACH ACCESS complete with Beach Towels, Beach Chairs, Beach Umbrellas, and Beach Toys. Ocean Waves' interior is also amenity packed with the comforts of home! Your Rental includes access to the Island Club at North Captiva. These Resort Amenities include a 75' Olympic and 62' Lap Pool. 1/2 Basketball Court, Bikes, Kayaks, Activities, and Pool Bar. 1 - Four Seater Electric Golf Cart is also Complimentary with your vacation stay at Ocean Waves.

Per VRBO Guidelines please note regarding security at the Beach Townhouse: there are Exterior security cameras located outside of the property for security. One Exterior Camera is facing the Beach Entrance and One Exterior Camera is facing the Front Entrance.

North Captiva Island is a Unspoiled Remote Barrier island in Lee County in Southwest Florida, located just offshore in the Gulf of Mexico. It lies just north of Captiva Island, separated by a channel called Redfish Pass which was created in a 1921 hurricane. It lies just south of Cayo Costa Island, separated by Captiva Pass. North Captiva Island or Upper Captiva Island is comprised of full time residents and vacation renters. There are no cars allowed and transportation on island is by foot, bike, or golf cart.

We offer gorgeous sugar sand beaches, an abundance of wildlife and tropical plants and landscape, world class shelling and fishing plus two thirds of the Island are State Preserve perfect for walking trails that lead directly to the Ocean.

There are Restaurants on Island and a Bar. A Well Stocked Convenience Store and a Boating Store. Boats and Fun offers Boat Rentals and Day Trip and Fishing Charter, Fishing Gear Rentals, Golf Cart Rentals, Fat Tire Bike Rentals, Fresh Seafood Delivery, Gifts, Bathing Suits, Beach Gear etc. There is not a Traditional Grocery Store on Island. We also have Private Chefs that can cook at your Vacation Rental, Take Away Meals that can be ordered, and Cooking Classed that can be held at your Vacation Home. We also have an Island Masseuse and Photography Services Available as well as many other options for Day Trips to Cayo Costa, Boca Grande, Cabbage Key etc.

LOGISTICS - Our Unique Island Paradise is only accessible by Boat or by Plane. There are a number of Ferries, Private Charters, or you can take your Own Boat. Please make sure to check your flight times before booking you island vacation as the ferries operate typically going out from 7AM to 5PM and please make sure to purchase travel insurance as personal reasons, weather, and travel can cause delays and cancellations. There are other ferries and private charters for hours outside of the above. If you are flying to Florida you will most likely fly into RSW Fort Myers, FL then Drive or Taxi to Safe Harbor Pineland Marina, Pine Island, FL. Pine Island Limo is a popular choice and will be included in your Welcome Package. If you drive to the Marina, they do offer paid parking in their lot at the Marina. Go into the Marina's Ship Store and pay for your parking there.

Arrange your ferry way ahead of time at Island Girl Charters website or by phone. Then Ferry over on Island Girl Charters approximately 30 minutes to arrive at the dock at Mainstay/Barnacles on North Captiva Island or Take Your Own Boat and Rent a Slip! Ask us if you need assistance! Check In to Ocean Waves is 4PM or thereafter and Check Out time is by 9AM. Guests typically book the 3PM ish ferry.
Please Note - The ferry and the private vehicle parking at the Marina are not included in your vacation stay they are paid for by the guests.

Upon your arrival on the Island Concierge will bring you and your luggage, groceries, etc. directly to Ocean Waves where your Ocean Front Vacation will begin!

Groceries can be brought on the Ferry, ordered ahead of time by a personal shopper that can meet you at the ferry, or order from a personal shopper and stocked into your refrigerator or both! Groceries can be ordered during your stay too with our concierge or with a shopper of your choice and then put on the ferry for your pick up at a dock. Your options will be detailed in your Ocean Waves Welcome Package sent to you after booking! Please note there are guest charges for the services of personal shoppers and for having your groceries stocked at your vacation home for your arrival.

Concierge will also make sure you have assistance at the end of your fantastic vacation to help you with check out.

Best location in North Captiva
Our third time in North Captiva and first time staying on the beach. The location was perfect & the condo must have been newly renovated, it had everything we needed for our family of four. Nice open floor plan, Weber gas grill, induction range, beach chairs/ equipment, and the icing on the cake, an ice machine! It doesn’t have a pool but the trade off is it comes with affiliation to the Island Club, which has 2 swimming pools. We would definitely stay here again.

What a view!
Upon arriving, our food was already put away. The home was clean and beautiful! The kitchen is well-equipped and having our own washer/dryer was very helpful. There were extra linens, towels, beach equipment, and golf cart included. Even the grill worked great! Most importantly, the view is spectacular. There are 2 decks to enjoy and it’s a moderate walk out to the beach for daytime shell collecting and evening sunsets. We thoroughly enjoyed the laid-back vibe of the island and met several kind and friendly people.

Best place on the island
Just left NC and it was an awesome experience. The house is in the perfect place on the island. Sunsets are amazing, and the walk to the beach is quick and easy. We only had a few minor issues while we were there, and Amy was quick to get them taken care of!

Love this place!
We have been coming for years and stayed at many different homes. This one was fabulous. We love it and would love to stay again. Everyone involved from the booking to check out was great.
