Back in the Bahamas

Everybody from Elbow Cay properties was so kind and helpful. Junior did a great job introducing us to the house and gving us the whole rundown @ Aquamarine. Perfect location for Elbow Cay, in my opinion. Not too far from Hope Town, not too far from Tahiti Beach, right next to Abaco Inn, Sea Spray & Turtle Inn"On Da Beach", and literally across the street from Firefly. Thank you guys so much. See ya next time.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first trip to Elbow Cay, and we found it friendly, a community of pride, safe and warmly accommodating. Elbow Cay Properties on the mainland was accessible and professional throughout, and this particular house on the beach across from Firefly was spectacular. We were so impressed with the sturdy quality and thoughtfulness of the architecture, the flow from room-to-room, and the manicured grounds. Our family of eight was easily accommodated, and we thoroughly enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner out by the pool. The kids used the hammocks to laze away the hours out back, and we kept our rental boat nearby within easy reach by golf cart. Tahiti Beach is a short distance away with the Thirsty Cuda's frozen drinks within easy swimming distance. Aaahh, can't wait to return & rent this property again!

Crazy Weather Week in Abaco

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Aquamarine is a beautiful ocean front home. Unfortunately for our trip, the weather was extremely windy and rainy in mid December 2023. That said we were hoping to make use of the pool, which we requested to be heated for our arrival. It would have been a great way to have fun since using the beach, or boat, was out of the question. The pool was not heated, and could not be heated as the heater pump was broken. We also did not realize the unit was 3 stories...with the bedrooms with en suite located on the 3rd level. Not everyone in our party was able to climb that was also a disappointment. That said, the house had every other amenity we could have asked for. It is well stocked, hot showers, washer/dryer, gorgeous location.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It’ was a great house. Extremely disappointed the owners would not allow our family to use the washer and dryer. We were told it had them as well as the other four houses we rented. All others had them available and ours was locked up. I would not rent this home again. The caretaker jr was amazing. He even called and asked and I agreed to pay extra for water. Very disappointing. Last trip to Bahamas. Customs was horrible and the local police harassed us for not wearing a mask on a golf cart.

We are sorry that the renters had a difficult time with customs and the police. Masks are still required here in the Bahamas. It's the law at the moment and when you submit the Covid test results to the travel visa website, you agree to abide by the Covid restrictions that are in place for our protection. The house is not advertised with a washer/dryer. All of our properties are individually owned and the owners make their own policies regarding use of washers and dryers. There is a laundry service nearby that has just opened and they will pick up and deliver.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been renting in Hope Town for over 20 years and Aquamarine was by far our favorite house we have ever rented. It is a very comfortable house. It is set up with a great kitchen and dinning area. The outdoor area has a large pool and a great deck area to accommodate a large group. The caretaker (Junior) was wonderful. Always reachable and helpful. That makes such a difference when you rent a house and can get assistance when you need it. We would definitely rent it again.

The location is quiet and off the main road. The pool and beach were fantastic. Junior the caretaker exceeded every expectation! The Island still has power issues and some of those issues caused us some problems and the generator was out likely due to the fluctuating power. Junior made everything right and can’t say enough. Come stay at Aquamarine you will have a GREAT time.
