Le chalet est situĂ© dans le Palm Key Nature Getaway, une Ăźle privĂ©e de 350 acres qui embrasse la magnifique riviĂšre Broad. Des chĂȘnes vivants majestueux sont dispersĂ©s dans toute la propriĂ©tĂ©. Buses, aigrettes, ibis, cigognes en bois, hĂ©rons et aigles sont toujours prĂ©sents dans le ciel et le marais. Profitez du son du silence.

Ce cottage de quatre chambres comprend 8 lits queen-size - 2 lits par chambre. Chaque chambre a sa propre salle de bain. Chaque chambre a Ă©galement un accĂšs privĂ© au porche arriĂšre ou Ă  la terrasse au deuxiĂšme niveau oĂč vous ne voudrez pas manquer le lever de soleil magnifique qui vous accueille chaque matin - vaut la peine de se lever! La cuisine est entiĂšrement Ă©quipĂ©e pour prĂ©parer les repas et il y a deux tables de salle Ă  manger pour vous asseoir confortablement et vos invitĂ©s.

Le chalet est l'escapade parfaite pour renouer avec la famille et les amis sans aucune des distractions modernes, mais avec toutes les commoditĂ©s modernes. Lisez un livre, jouez Ă  un jeu ou montez un puzzle dans le grenier ouvert. Profitez du soleil sur le pont supĂ©rieur ou dĂ©tendez-vous Ă  l'ombre sur le porche avant ou la vĂ©randa arriĂšre. Prenez un poteau en bambou et tentez votre chance en pĂȘchant dans l'Ă©tang d'eau douce de la propriĂ©tĂ©. Allez observer les oiseaux sur les sentiers naturels du complexe.

C'est un endroit idéal pour faire du kayak dans les riviÚres à eaux noires et les marais à marée basse de la Caroline du Sud. Il se trouve également à une courte distance en voiture de la ville historique de Beaufort, de Savannah, de Charleston, de Hilton Head et de l'une des plus belles plages de la nation à Hunting Island State Park.

La maison est située à environ 25 minutes de l'ßle Parris. De nombreuses familles ont séjourné ici pour le week-end de remise des diplÎmes de leur Marine.

Beautiful Location....House not so much

This house would have been perfect if the following had been taken care of before our occupancy.1. Every glass, dish, pot and utensil had to be washed before use. Pans in stove drawer were gross.2. Furniture is in need of refurbishing/cleaning.3. Towels and bath mats were raggedy.4. Pillows were old and uncomfortable.5. Back porch was filthy and there were wasp nests.We enjoyed the house and the location, but it is very overpriced for the condition of the house.We have stayed in many VRBO properties but this was most disappointing.

A Peaceful Space

This property is near my family and provides the comfort of home as well as the tranquility of nature. I have visited Knowles Island several times and it never disappoints. Thank you again Steve for providing family this comfort as we mourned our loved one.

Golf girls getaway

Girls’ Golf Trip We were a group of 8 ladies from 7 different towns playing in a golf tournament. Because we were from various areas, we had 7 vehicles. But that was no problem as there was plenty of parking in front of the house and across the driveway. The house itself, at first, was difficult to locate as we couldn’t read the address numbers from the road. As it turns out, they had changed the name of the road and the house number. It was Cottage 23 in a small scenic marshland community. But that number wasn’t visible from the road. We found the house to be super clean - wiped down, well-mopped/swept and vacuumed. This house had four bedrooms and two queen beds in each bedroom which suited us perfectly. The beds were very comfortable and all linens were provided. There was a private bathroom attached to each bedroom with all towels,etc supplied. We enjoyed our morning coffee, and the wonderful view of the sunrise, out on the covered porches where a table and chairs were set up outside of each of the two downstairs bedrooms. The two upstairs bedrooms also each had a table and chairs up on the outside porch. The living area had two comfortable full-size sofas and two chairs - one a recliner. The sofas could serve double duty for sleeping. We prepped our food in the galley kitchen- small but it easily took care of what we needed. Great place and loved our time there. Would come back!

Near the places we wanted to visit

We were able to visit, Hilton Head, Savanna, Charleston and Beaufort on short one day trips. The house easily met our needs. There was plenty of space for 8 adults to spread out. We had a great view from the back porch which changed as the tide came in. My only issue is the distance from home.

Stayed for Marine Graduation

A large group of us stayed here 8 nights for my son's graduation from Parris Island. We were about 25 min from base which wasn't bad (honestly EVERYTHING was 25-30 min away) and it was a nice/easy drive to and from most places. House was a great size and we never thought we were on top of each other. House was exactly as shown in pictures and the view from back porch was amazing. There was something serene about enjoying morning coffee looking out over the marsh and that's where most of us could be found in the AM. We even saw a dolphin our 1st day! House was fully stocked with necessities (pots, pans, dishes, towels, blankets, etc). Steve was VERY response throughout the entire time leading up to, during, and after our stay. He definitely made my 1st experience with VRBO a good one. Highly recommend Steve and his house if you ever find the need to come to SC.

Comfortable, roomy, lots of beds, beautiful marsh view

This is a very nice, well appointed property with a well equipped kitchen and a bath room in each of the 4 bedrooms. There are two full size beds in each bedroom. Lovely living room and seating area in the loft plus a small library. We had a 45 minute drive to any desired destination which was bit inconvenient, but if you don't mind a bit of a drive then you will love this place!

Great home!

We came down from Massachusetts for our sons Marine Corp Boot Camp graduation and needed space for everyone. We were very lucky to find Steve’s home! Although a little further from Parris Island than some would like, it was totally worth it! It was quiet, it was comfortable, and most of all it was clean! I highly recommend staying here if you have a larger group or need multiple beds and baths. If we ever have cause come back to the area, we will definitely look to stay here again.

Great Sunrise!

Parking supports 4 vehicles on property, additional across the street (40ft). There was a good convenience store/gas station about 5 miles away. Would definitely stay here again.

Marines graduation

Our family stayed here for our sons Marines graduation. The house was beautiful and accommodated our large family. The drive to Parris Island was about 35 minutes, but was an easy drive and didn't feel it took that long.

Great family vacation

This was the perfect house for our large family. We especially appreciated that each bedroom had a private bathroom, each of our children and their families had their own space. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking meals. It’s a bit of a drive to get anywhere but the quiet neighborhood and beautiful view makes it worth it. Wish we could find a place like this on every one of our family trips!

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

We actually rented a cottage at Palm Key to spend time with my brother's family that owned a cottage at Palm Key. We weren't expecting to enjoy it as much so actually rented a house on Fripp Island for a week after our stay at Palm Key. Boy were we wrong! We ended up loving Palm Key so much that we drove back from Fripp Island several times and by the end of the week had decided to design and build our cottage at Palm Key.

It truly is our 'Escape'. We come to Palm Key to unwind and get away from everything. It is truly the most serene, stressfree environment we have come across. And the sounds and the changing scenery of the marsh are like no other.
