This place was awesome! Our entire family loved the cozy, retro vibe and all the different places to hang out. Loved the hot tub and the big garden tub inside. The well equipped kitchen made me happy!

The home has a wonderful location right on the lake; definitely easy access! My family spent time relaxing on the dock, paddle boarding, and kayaking. The hot tub was wonderful and well maintained. This sounds cliche, but the location is truly a home away from home. Definitely felt like staying at a friend's house.

Our stay at the Retro Retreat was great! Being right on the lake was awesome and there were a lot of things close by. We really appreciated the binder that was like a cheat sheet. The beds were super comfortable and we had plenty of space to spread out. Great place to take the family!

The hosts were quick to answer questions, and the home was just what we were looking for: a quiet place to get away for a few days. I personally enjoyed the hot tub; one in our group enjoyed kayaking; and we all enjoyed some local hiking and exploring. The kitchen was well-equipped, and we enjoyed quite a few meals on the deck.

Fun place! Perfect spring getaway. The driveway was long enough for two tow vehicles and our boat trailers. Holly Grove boat ramp was close by, electric at the dock and easy to tie-up two boats at the dock.

This was the perfect lakefront getaway! We normally do the beach and decided to change it up this time. I’m so glad we did! My teens loved it, and it even worked perfectly for our nine month old. The hosts have obviously put an incredible amount of thoughtful planning in every detail of this place. The vibe is unmatched. The dock was the perfect place to hang for the day — there’s something for everyone! Sunbathing on the upper level, or chilling with a drink down below in the shade under the fan. There are kayaks, paddle boards, an inflatable if that’s more your speed, and even a float for the baby. They’ve also provided an impressive selection of life vests. You have a great view of the sunrise from the little hammock seat on the lower level, and the dock bar was so much fun in the evenings. There’s a handy spot to plug in a speaker (also provided) and a super fun little disco ball to get a party started! Shoutout to the hot tub guys who apparently worked a good part of the day making sure the hot tub was in tip top shape for our stay! Nothing could have made our weekend at the Retro Retreat any better. Truly. It was the dreamiest end of summer getaway! My kids have already asked to go back! :)

A week in RetroRetreat Heaven

We were looking for a place to relax and enjoy the lake with family for July 4th. This suited all our needs! Comfortable and well appointed for the basics-plus! The home is on a quiet cul de sac and the most you hear is the nightly frog chorus. Our family trickled in over the course of the week and the real fun happened over the weekend. The dock is set up to enjoy swimming off of, and tying floaties to. Plenty of shade and sun areas. We rented a boat nearby to take the family out for more lake fun. The home and property had plenty of everything we needed. The rules are basic and simple. The walkway to the dock is lit, though like most lake houses, wear your rugged water shoes down - there’s lots of nature along the steep flagstone path. With one college kid in our group we learned there was plenty of hot water for her AND the rest of us!
