The Speculator Guest House is fully renovated to offer an elevated stay. Simple luxury in the Adirondacks with premium amenities like an outdoor sauna, weekday private chef brunch or dinner, espresso maker, and firewood for campfires under the string lights. Walk to the grocery store, restaurants, shops, or the sandy beach on Lake Pleasant (.6 miles). Each guest receives local recommendations based on your date of stay. Oak Mountain Ski Center is just down the road. Gore Mountain is about 45 minutes from the house with weekday skiing.

Speculator Cabin

Cabin was as advertised. Host was very responsive. We enjoyed the cabin and the town of Speculator. Lots of good hikes.

The property was so tastefully decorated and impeccably clean upon arrival. Our hosts were fantastic in thinking through even the smallest personal details for our stay- even pre-stacking the wood in the fire pit and leaving the string lights on a timer each evening. Although we spent most of our time each day at the lake, we had a comfortable and restful morning and evening each day at the cabin.

Incredible home and hospitality

My family and I enjoyed our 3 day stay here so much! Very charming place with amazing hospitality. Amy and Ryan were great throughout our trip. Loved our proximity to the beach as well as so many beautiful trails. We loved our stay here!

Perfect place to stay for your visit to Speculator!

Perfect house for a long weekend exploring the Speculator area! Very clean and up to date but still feels like an escape. Walking distance from everything in town and countless hikes and things to see within a 10 minute drive.Very comfortable beds, super clean and functional kitchen with everything you could need. Shower, sauna, everything was top notch. If you've stayed at other places in the Adirondacks, you know some places can be a bit worn out but this is a really well kept property. Owners were helpful with initial information and a few questions we had about the town. Digging for a negative, its closer to the street so you hear some light traffic but the listing makes no secret about the location. Was never a problem for us and we felt secluded in the back with the fire pit going and we weren't worried about having our dog free in the back.Absolutely rebooking the next time we're in town!

Family stop on road trip

House has a lot of character both inside and outside. Very clean and well organized with nice touches like an espresso machine in addition to a coffee maker. It’s in close walking distance to a pub and a diner and a grocery and public beach on the lake (for some of these we used the bikes that come with the house just for fun). We took advantage of all of it and thoroughly enjoyed our short stay in Speculator.

Great getaway spot

My Family and I really enjoyed the cabin. It was located walking distance to shopping, restaurants and the beach area. Amy gave us great recommendations. The cabin was clean organized and charming. Definitely recommend.

Village Retreat

This stylishly renovated Adirondack home was well stocked with necessities, including fire wood for the pretty backyard fire circle. It was immaculate and there were ample towels and nice linens. The kitchen was well equipped, however no microwave if that's important to you. Also no television which is a positive thing for connecting with the Adirondacks. The host was prompt in answering questions and helpful with suggestions.
