Lake living in a relaxed family and pet-friendly home

If you’re looking for the perfect large gathering space, there is room for even the extended family here! Take a trip that is reminiscent of going to your grandparents’ log home or summer camp. Swim, swing, make S’mores, work puzzles, play board games, tennis, or basketball, kayak, bring your own boat for fishing or play or rent one locally. There is a boat ramp and a loading dock, but no overnight docking.

Discount available for 7 day rental ($300+ total).

PET/ALLERGY WARNING: Your well-behaved pets are welcome, but be aware there are cats and dogs that live here when you’re not visiting.

Keeping in mind the many small families that make up a large family like ours or a friend group, each room is designed to accommodate two adults and at least one additional child or adult. Tent camping in the backyard could even provide protected adventure for some.

A permanent ramp is located at the side entrance of the home, and a portable ramp for back entrances is available. Raised toilet seat with support handles is available. Please contact us with any questions.

There are two security cameras/doorbells on the premises covering front and back yard areas/pool.

Absolutely amazing week spent with family from Pennsylvania, Maryland, North Carolina and Florida celebrating what would have been our Mother's, Grandmother's and Great-Grandmother's 100th birthday! We had plent of room for 21 people ranging in ages from 3 to age 70. The house was beautiful and very clean but most importantly comfortable and super "homey". We spent every morning on the large patio drinking coffee and visiting. The pool was a hit for all ages and very large to accommodate everyone. We had plenty of room to cook every meal there. The dining room was a perfect spot for meals, arts, crafts and lots of games. The screened in porch was perfect for puzzles and darts. We even enjoyed listening to our sister playing the piano. The loft was a perfect place for the teenage cousins to hang out. There are lots of places and space for everyone to spread out. The lounge chairs on the patio were a perfect spot for reading. The playground across the street was perfect for the kids and the dock perfect for fishing. We could not have found a better home to celebrate our family reunion!

Nanacation

Annual family vacation. Plenty of room for all of us to spread out. A nice kitchen with a great assortment of equipment. We love to cook most of our meals on family vacations. We enjoyed the pool to work off all the kids energy while the adults sunned. This was our second year at this house and we love it!

We stayed for a week and hosted a catered rehearsal dinner around the pool. Sleeping accommodations were excellent. Plenty of privacy and bathrooms for all guests. Very comfortable.

Perfect for Family TimeWe rented this home for our son’s high school graduation, and it was all we hoped for and more. Rather than being scattered across hotel rooms, our family was able to stay together, enjoy time under one roof, and celebrate a milestone in a relaxed and welcoming place.The house had a great layout that worked well for our group. The many beds made it easy to pair siblings and couples with young children, while the master suite offered a quiet retreat for the grandparents. The full bathrooms throughout the house made getting ready every day easier, and the dedicated office space came in handy when work couldn’t wait. The kitchen and dining area were perfect for the adults to gather, and the kids had plenty to enjoy—from games and puzzles to the pool, kayaks, piano, firepit, and more. It's situated in a lovely neighborhood that made walking the dog easy, it's across the street from a playground, our boys had a lot of fun catching minos in the lake, and the outdoor spaces in the backyard were perfect! We appreciated that the home was pet-friendly and offered a bit of an escape from everyday routines while still being close enough to everything we needed. It was a great backdrop for a special time, and we’re thankful for the memories made there. Given another opportunity, we will gladly return! Thank you Ron and Joy for sharing your home with us for several days.

Family trip

Our family traveled from several different states to attend a family high school graduation. We have not been together for many years and the house was perfect for our time together. There was plenty of room for all of us to be comfortable and the pool was great! The owners were awesome and very attentive to our needs. We would definitely stay here again!

Baseball getaway

We had 4 families that had kiddos playing in an All State Baseball tournament form NC. We wanted something that we could all enjoy together while. It being at the fields. Perfect place to hang out and let the kids hang. Even though it was freezing they all jumped in the pool. We loved the history and lived in feel art this home.

Great place for family gathering

Enjoyed our stay place was perfect! We had 14 family members and everyone had a bed. Very clean and place had everything we needed. We enjoyed spending time on deck and pool. Definitely recommend.

THE PERFECT LAKE HOUSE!!!!!

We had a very large group get together for a lake vacation and we could not have asked for a better house. There was so much space for us all to gather and spend time together. The house was very clean. The owners provided us with so much (everything needed for cooking, so many towels and pool towels, etc.). Ron was very responsive, even at 5:30 in the morning when the entire neighborhood lost power for a brief time, he responded immediately and called the power company for us to figure out what was going on. The lake is right across the street for a boat launch. We rented a boat and had an amazing boat day! We will definitely be coming back soon.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars!

This is a fantastic location with equally fantastic owners. We ranged in age from 7 month to 59 years with a total of 18 people and we were all comfortable. With the pool, tennis courts, and playground, fun was had by all. The owners were so responsive and provided everything we needed. With the house layout, it was easy to gather as a group or find a quiet corner. I could not recommend this site more

Family Vacation 2024

We had the best time at this beautiful house! There was plenty of space for our group to spread out or come together. The office worked great for a grand daughter’s online class and a daughter’s zoom meeting. We enjoy cooking on our vacations and this kitchen had everything we needed. The pool was especially great on the 90+ days. We found lots of things to do in the surrounding area. This house helped make a perfect vacation for our 4 generations.

Youth Trip

The house was perfect for our youth group. Plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms. Host was easy to communicate with. Would certainly rent this again for a large group.

Family Time Retreat

A great rustic log cabin for bringing family together! The room with the fireplace is like a private longue with piano. My nephew brought his guitar and we sung around the fire. Only complaint would be too many drop rugs which are tripping hazards for older people. We just rolled them up and put them out of the way where necessary.

Exceptional HAPPY Place for Rest, Fun and Relaxation

My Sister Cousins all met at this beautiful property for the weekend. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything that you can imagine. The home was clean. There was plenty of space to sleep, rest, play games, eat and just have a good time. Thank you!

Best family oriented place ever

Not only were our hosts communicative, but left us a sweet welcome sign and treats. They went above and beyond, providing extra chairs and tables. The house is amazing, pool refreshing, and area beautiful. Would recommend this rental to anyone.

Cozy Family Home

We chose this property primarily for the pool. Being our 2nd biannual Family Reunion, we wanted everyone to have fun in the sun with a Pool Party Cookout! That could have gone awry but thanks to the responsiveness and care of the Host, he came out first thing the next morning, after a messy storm left lots of debris in the pool, and cleaned it spotless! We stayed in the pool all day having a blast! The home accommodated our growing family of 20+ just fine with a few tweaks of sleeping arrangements. Blow up beds may be more comfortable than the pull out sofas metal and thin mattress, as a heads up. We could also tell cleaning wasn't as thorough as we'd hope in the bathrooms as one bathroom had sticky counters and the toilet seat had residue and the family room hadn't been swept of a couple dead bugs and quite a bit of cat hairs on the side tables and chairs. We knew there were pets here and we brought 2 small dogs ourselves so we didn't complain about that. It was just more obvious that some areas were less tended to than others for deep cleaning. Otherwise, it was already said of the family, they'd stay here again. The hosts have thought of EVERYTHING! For all ages of the family in every area of vacationing. And the sweet surprise of sliced cake loaf varieties that welcomed us on day one was so thoughtful! We appreciated the character of this home, all of the accommodations, especially the communication and actions of the hosts. The proximity of food/shopping is great

We want to see other families and friends have the opportunity to gather in one place in order to make some wonderful memories together. We’ve used the dynamics of our families to create spaces for the whole family to socialize as well as for the small families that make it up.

A home that can comfortably sleep 22-24 people is hard to come by, and it is important to be able to share time together without hotel-hopping. Of course, when needed, you can sneak away on a local adventure, sit outside, swim, or read a book in your own space.
