Great Spot

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cute place to call home for our week long stay in Kona! We enjoyed the jacuzzi after a day of exploring and the ping pong tables were so fun as well. Place had everything we needed to make us feel at home. Has snorkel gear, cooler, water filter for fridge, and camping chairs. Only thing we wished were the chairs were beach chairs!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay was great! The place was in a great location. The bathroom was big and nice for post beach trips. I love having a large balcony in Hawaii to eat meals on. My only con was the kitchen could be improved. Utensils were not entirely clean. The black plastic utensils and plastic plates were scratched which are concerning for micro plastics and toxins.

Thank you so much for the thoughtful review and feedback! We’re so glad you enjoyed the location, spacious bathroom, and especially the large lanai for meals and relaxing after beach days — that’s one of our favorite parts of Hawaii too. We also truly appreciate you bringing the kitchen items to our attention. We’ll have the housekeeping team do an additional inspection of the utensils and kitchenware, and we understand your concerns regarding worn plastic items and microplastics. Guest feedback like this helps us continue improving the experience for future stays. Mahalo again for staying with us, and we hope to host you again on your next visit to the Big Island!

I do wish you had not listed this property as a OCEAN FRONT property. It has a thin sliver of a view of the ocean IF you lean over the railing in the lanai and cran your neck you may be able lucky. The main view is of the condos opposite the property.

Beautiful Condo and Grounds

This condo is definitely kept up well. The items in the kitchen make it very easy to do a quick breakfast every morning. The bed is extremely comfortable – – firm mattress with just the right amount of firmness. Kona Makai is in a very good location in Kailua Kona. This is our fourth visit to this area. There are ample towels in the unit. Watching the sunset from the pool area is like looking at a postcard—simply BEAUTIFUL!!! Knutson & Associates is quick to respond to any minor concerns that arise.
