Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay was great! The place was in a great location. The bathroom was big and nice for post beach trips. I love having a large balcony in Hawaii to eat meals on. My only con was the kitchen could be improved. Utensils were not entirely clean. The black plastic utensils and plastic plates were scratched which are concerning for micro plastics and toxins.

We enjoyed the jacuzzi after a day of exploring and the ping pong tables were so fun as well. Place had everything we needed to make us feel at home. Has snorkel gear, cooler, water filter for fridge, and camping chairs. Only thing we wished were the chairs were beach chairs!

This was one of our favorite properties to stay at! The condo was very spacious, kitchen had most of what we needed, and the views were beautiful. It was easy to get into, management was quick to respond whenever we needed anything. The community had easy parking and very quiet and relaxing environment. It was also very central to lots of food and shops. We would defiantly stay here again!!

Perfect condo for Big Island holidays.

It was very nice place for holidays in Big Island. Really quiet and comfortable. I recommend to bring your shampoo and detergents with you.

Great vacation rental

This condo unit is a great place to relax and enjoy the best of Kona. Situated to get the best ocean views and awesome nightly sunsets, Kona Makai is an easy drive or walk along Ali'i Drive to the shops and restaurants of Kona. The unit has all the amenities required to make this an easy escape! Loved this condo and would highly recommend it.

Even had things to take to the beach like chairs and ice chests. Great Washer and dryer with an iron ! Just like home ! It was very quiet and peaceful nice to have 2 decks We are already planning another trip and my sister wants to book 10 days as well ! I have no reason to check out other places , this condo has everything ! Very good commucation too , i love it when they ask you if everything is ok because you know they care ! Thank you ! !

Lovely place

Loved the push button entry! No keys to keep track of. Lovely bed, lots of pillows! Everything you need! Chairs, cooler, umbrella all here. Pool is wonderful( a zillion rules unfortunately posted) but very nice. Clean, great bbqs and area to eat by the ocean, lounges for sunset watching. 2 balconys!

I wish the pool was open later than 9pm (since there is no lifeguard anyway). Great views, close to all of the shops and restaurants. We will be staying here again when we come back!

Beautiful Condo and Grounds

This condo is definitely kept up well. The items in the kitchen make it very easy to do a quick breakfast every morning. The bed is extremely comfortable – – firm mattress with just the right amount of firmness. Kona Makai is in a very good location in Kailua Kona. This is our fourth visit to this area. There are ample towels in the unit. Watching the sunset from the pool area is like looking at a postcard—simply BEAUTIFUL!!! Knutson & Associates is quick to respond to any minor concerns that arise.
