Our Whittle Cabin near Pinecrest w/WiFi

Cabin is nestled in the Stanislaus National Forest and located in a private- gated community. 3 Bedroom, 2 bath + loft and WiFi. Central heat & Ceiling fans are in each bedroom. Floor fans and a portable swamp cooler are available during the warmer months. Kitchen is stocked with cooking essentials and the deck has a charcoal grill (Dry Months). 50” flat screen T.V., blue ray player, a large selection of DVD’s, Books and games. The community has its own Swimming/Fishing pond, Beach, Playground, Basketball Court, Baseball Diamond, Dog Park, BBQ/Picnic Tables, Toboggan Run and Horseshoe Pit. The Whittle Cabin has fire road access right behind the Cabin for licensed off road vehicles. The cabin is Approx. 20 Minutes from Pinecrest and 25 mins. From Dodge Ridge Ski Resort. Yosemite National Park is just over an hour away. Other nearby destinations include: Twain Harte, Sonora, Jamestown, Columbia State Park, Railtown 1897 State Historic Park, Moaning Caverns, Black Oak Casino and Chicken Ranch Casino. Hiking, Fishing, Boating, Swimming, Horseback Riding, Wine Tasting. So much to do in this area.
Note: This property requires stairs and may be difficult for guests with limited mobility.
4 Wheel drive or All Wheel Drive/ Snow Chains are recommended/required in the winter months to access the property that sits on an incline.
The roads in the community are snowplowed, but chains and/or 4x4’s will be needed for the heavier snow days.

*Local Hikes: Sugarpine Railroad, Westside Trail, Dragoon Gulch Trailhead, Natural Bridges Trailhead

Definitely recommend! Such a lovely cabin it definitely had everything we needed and more. The Host are definitely helpful and friendly and very communicative. Had clean rooms and accommodations for each of us. Have to also add that the Host are so thoughtful I have not met anyone as detail oriented and cute as them. Thank you again for allowing us to stay and make lovely memories in your cabin. Definitely have to make another trip back.

We have rented this cabin several times and had a great stay each and every time. It is located in a beautiful spot with no neighboring cabins behind you. The current owners have made several nice upgrades to the cabin, especially to the living room. The amazing collection of DVDs with the newer TV and sound bar inspired some great family movie nights. Also, this cabin has a great fireplace, a very well-stocked kitchen, and everything was very well labeled and easy to use. Scott was a great host and was very responsive. We can't wait to go back!

Cozy home away from home

Loved our stay at the Whittle Cabin!1. The location is great: 10min from Twain Harte for the restaurants, chops etc and less than 30min from Dodge Ridge for skiing 2. The house is vast, super clean and with all the amenities you could hope for. Lots of cabin in the area are old but this one had been super well kept.3. The hosts have been super communicative and easy to connect with for checkin and checkout 4. We went with our kiddo and she loved it. The house had also tons of games and there is a playground in the neighborhood (and dvd if you wanna be a couch potato and rest up) 5. Details that matters: there is good water pressure in the showers!Everything to make our stay lovely!

Cozy Cabin

For a few days, The Whittle Cabin was our home away from home for nine of us and a lil doggie. The cabin was nice and cozy and offered all the comforts of home. The kitchen also had just about everything we needed to cook our Thanksgiving turkey dinner. We loved the big round dining table with the lazy Susan where we all could sit and eat together. We loved all the decor. There was also a large selection of DVDs to choose from which we enjoyed watching. There was WiFi but no cable. There were a couple of minor issues that we had, but they weren’t a dealbreaker. After we checked out, we did inform the host for their future guests. Overall, we had a fantastic time and great experience. We look forward to staying here again in the future! BTW thank you to the hosts for the goodies and bottle of apple cider!

Great Place to get Away

This cabin is a great location with so much to do near by! The hosts are so welcoming and the comunication was impecable. We would definitely recommend staying at the whittle cabin.

Loved it!!

My family had the best time at the Whittle Cabin! The place was very spacious and was stocked up with everything that we needed. The kids loved all the games and movies. The community was very beautiful and quiet. It was so convenient being only 20 minutes from Pinecrest Lake. Highly recommend this property!! Perfect Family Getaway

The property is the perfect get away for our family. The cabin had lots of games, toys, and an extensive movie collection. The cabin was a 5 min drive from a play ground, dog park, snow sledding for young kids-we didn't need to go far to keep everyone entertained. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was nicely stocked with every gadget you could need. You can tell the property owners put a lot of thought into their guests needs.

Great winter location

This place has something for everyone. Our group of 11 ranged from ages 6 to 78. Everyone was able to relax in their own way - kids had toys, board games and a mini arcade machine and a community playground. Adults had movies, poker, playing cards and the great outdoors. The cabin was also spacious enough to allow family dinners in a round table with a lazy Susan, family cooking and lounging together by the wood fireplace. The cabin is centralized from many winter attractions and hiking trails. Driveway is tricky without AWD.

Amazing beautiful cabin

Excellent Property at Excellent Location

Initially we were skeptical of all the good reviews. But when we stayed there, we realized why this property has such a high rating. 1. House/Cabin is in very good condition. Furniture and fixtures are new. There is a certain character and taste to the house as if it is built and maintained very thoughtfully. 2. Kitchen is fully stocked dinnerware, utensils, small appliances (air fryer) 3. Very good quality towels, sheets, blankets, and pillows (and plentiful) We stayed there in first week of March and luckily it snowed that weekend. Owners (Scott) was responding to our questions within few minutes. All in all, it was a great experience and we will stay there again

Perfect Place

We loved this cabin. Cabin had all the amenities we needed. Plent of towels and comfortable beds. We loved the playground for the kids to get out when us parents didn't want to go far to explore. Nice forestey roads to hike. We will be renting again.

Snow Trip

We had two families staying at the property, 4 adults, 4 kids ranging from 9-14 years old. It was super comfortable and a great layout for our families. The place was super clean and well stocked, it had everything we needed and then some. Our visit was driven by the fact that we were headed to Dodge Ridge for skiing/snowboarding and this location was 20 minutes away, super convenient. I will note that during the snow season, traveling in a 4WD or with chains is really well advised. The roads in the community are narrow, twisty and vary in elevation, and they do get really icy. We definitely needed the 4WD in parts closer to the cabin. Last but not least, the communication with Scott, the host, was fast and easy, and the story of how the cabin came to be was really sweet. They even left us a welcome basket with goodies perfect for a movie night. Thank you Scott, we hope to return soon!

Wove the Whittle Cabin!

By far one of the best cabins we have stayed at in this area. Enough room for our whole family. Cute, clean and roomy. You can tell a lot of thought was put into making this a warm and convenient vacation rental. Scott replied promptly to any questions we had prior to and during our stay and was very kind. Thank you for allowing us to create family memories in your beautiful home. We are looking forward to returning!

We bought this as a family Cabin. 2 Sisters and our Husbands. It’s a dream come true that we’re excited to share with others. We hope that everyone enjoys the beauty and serenity of our cabin. We named it “The Whittle Cabin” because of a joke to our husbands to take up whittling while at the cabin. And a silly play on words since it’s a spacious cabin. We hope that everyone visiting will love and respect it and the environment as much as we do.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

The location is perfect. With the fire road directly behind our cabin, it gives us easy access to the forest. We enjoy taking our quads and mountain bikes behind the cabin. The gated community allows for more privacy and the amenities offered in the community made it perfect for our vacations. It’s our home away from home.
