The Burrow: spacious, quiet & free bus pass

Welcome to our 800 sqft modern guest studio atop Queen Anne Hill! The studio is located in the basement of an adorable bungalow that still has its original facade from when it was built in 1915.

For a basement, the studio is spacious-- having room for living, dining, working, and sleeping! The Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired built-in furniture will make this one of the most unique basements you have ever seen. We have all the essentials for a fun weekend trip or a month stay. This studio is in the perfect location to launch your next Seattle adventure

There is a washing machine and dryer available in the unit. The backyard furniture is also available to guests.

My roommate and I will be living in the house upstairs and can answer any questions about things to do in the neighborhood, city, or recommend hikes nearby. You may see us in the backyard, but otherwise you will not have to interact with us if you don't want to!

Note that for stays over 1 week long, we will have to work out a schedule for using the laundry room in the basement as it is the only one on the property.


PLEASE READ:

1. This space is equipped with a wet bathroom. The small bathroom has a low doorway, so please be careful stepping inside. If you are uncomfortable with a shower directly next to the toilet, please take a look at the photos and reviews.

2. The basement stays cool during the summer. There is no AC, but there is a whole house fan I keep on, and a portable fan is provided.

3. We do not allow pets of any kind to ensure an allergy-free experience for all of our guests. No exceptions for hypoallergenic pets.

Perfect with great location

This rental was just what we needed and the neighborhood was so cute! We loved walking around and renting the scooters to go all around the city and be able to come back to the cute and quiet area. The hosts were also great to work with and extremely accommodating!

This darling place is exactly as shown. The bed is super comfy and things like the big monitor in the office area make working from the location really convenient. Parking was a breeze. The host has great communication and is very pleasant. I would definitely stay again if I need to be in the area.

Cozy, safe place

Lovely little spot, snuggled away in the basement of a house. You walk through the fence gate into the backyard and down some stairs to the apartment door. It looks just like the photos. Owner is responsive and kind. I’d love to book it again. I felt very comfortable and safe as a single woman.

This is a unique and cool place to stay for sure, and the host Bailee was good about communication. If you book it on Expedia, it was confusing about checking in and I had to reach out to the host to get the information. The space is great for 2 people and the bed is very comfortable, but if you don't like that the toilet and shower are in one combined space, it may not be the best place for you to stay.

Clean Up

I am quite sure the total cost included post stay cleaning. It was quite insulting to receive a message to strip the bed and put all the sheets, spreads and pillow case on the floor and take out the garbage. I did as requested, but if VBRO charges extra for cleaning, it should be the responsibility of the owner, not the renter, otherwise just charge one fee and make sure to shift the clean up responsibility to the renter.

If you’re booking thru Expedia, it is not linked to the app they use for messaging. Luckily one of the cohosts was home when I arrived and was more than welcome to help me. It wasn’t anyone’s fault, just sucks it isn’t all linked together

I grew up in Orange County, California, and spent some time in Boston, but Seattle is my favorite!

There is a washing machine and dryer available in the unit. The backyard furniture is also available to guests.

We also provide access to a free ORCA pass for each guest staying, which works for the bus system, Link light rail, Washington State Ferries, the monorail and more. (We frequently take public transport and can advise on routes)

There is plenty of free residential street parking.
