The Desert House is a charming property with glimmers of its 1950’s history—vintage tile work in the shower and Dutch doors take you back—with the ease of updates, including a kitchenette. The location is terrific; you’re a quick walk from downtown. Relax in the pool or the cabana-esque loungers with the mountains right there! Parking’s a breeze as is checking in and out. Directions were clear and simple.

This property is a hidden gem. It is well kept and but still feels period. The owner and onsite manager were great. Close walking distance to the heart of PS and all that it offers. The pool is secluded and offers casitas, seating for each room, king beds, and back patios. They even have floaties, towels, and hats for guests to use. This will be the go to place for me when I am in PS. Thanks for a great stay!

The room was clean and the bed very comfy. The location can't be beat. Quiet with a nice pool and covered chairs. Only two blocks from all the restaurants and shopping, the Museum and Marilyn statue.

The only item keeping this from being a five star location is that the bathroom and in-particular the shower are quite small. The location, the state of the property, the bedroom are all excellent.

Gorgeous property

The room and instructions to enter were perfect. We could walk everywhere as the property is ideally located in downtown Palm Springs. Super clean. Communication with property owner/manager was fast and very friendly. We had an personal issue and had to change our reservation by one day and were so grateful they were able to accommodate that request. I would highly recommend this property to anyone. Craig

We Will be back

Clean quiet, and close to everything our room looked out at a beautiful pool that we took advantage of on a daily basis.Owner/manager was very communicative and helpful.

Quiet stay

The bed was comfortable. The hot water fauset in the shower needs adjusting - a little trouble turning on and off. I don't smoke so I didn't have matches to light the stove - so I just used the microwave.

The property is beautiful. Our room could be 5 star, but the bed smelled like body odor. I believe it was the mattress. Also we had an issue with check in. I am not sure who is to blame. It may be Expedia, I sent a message to contact host a couple of days before arrival and they did not respond. We waited almost an hour to enter the property! I eventually spoke to the property manager and got instructions to get in, but he didn't seem very apologetic and I feel the manager on property should have checked in with us to make sure everything was okay but they did not.

Exactly as advertised

Charming classic Palm Springs property. Comfortable king bed. Not fancy but has everything you need in the room. We walked to downtown restaurants every day.

Palm Spring Get Away

The location was perfect just a couple blocks from the downtown center. The amenities were nice with a well equipped kitchen area. The bed was comfortable hower, the shower was a little awkward but functional. We would definitely stay again!

Great downtown location

Love the quiet atmosphere, beautiful pool just outside the door, and walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Cole was very attentive to our needs, also. Have stayed there twice now.
