Welcome to The Pineapple House! Only 5 minutes to downtown Pensacola and 15-20 minutes to the beach. Gentrification is occurring and you will see a mix of homes (new construction to updated to those not yet revitalized), but it is generally quiet and very safe. Contactless check-in/out via electronic front door lock. Garbage/recycle cans on location. Free WiFi. Older construction, but clean home! Park on driveway. No smoking/vaping! Pineapple House is over 60 years old and, though greatly cared for, shows its age in some places. Expect to find some loving wear, quaint aging and charming patina both inside and outside. It is a block-built home, which was once the rage in Florida as they can generally withstand up to 250mph wind, though they don't tend to have the same aesthetic appeal as a traditional stick built home, therefore requiring a little more creativity with colors. :) The home boasts three bedrooms and one full bath. Two bedrooms have king beds and one has a full bed. One of the king beds is lower to the floor to make access easy and it is more firm, while the other king is taller and has an additional mattress pad making it very cushioned (some have said like sleeping on a cloud). The home has central heat and air conditioning, though the largest bedroom also has an additional wall AC unit to make it extra cold and stand-alone space heater for additional heat as it was an add-on room to the home. The living room and king bedrooms have TVs, though you will need to use your own login credentials for access to Prime, Netflix, Hulu, etc. We do have the Tubi app installed and The Roku Channel, which have news stations and movies available with no logon needed. No cable is provided. There is a washer and dryer in the home for your use, though you will need to supply your own detergent. There is a toaster and single serve Keurig coffee maker in the kitchen, as well as all of the typical pots/pans needed to make a home meal. Bath/beach/hand towels and washcloths are provided. The dining table can seat 4 and is located in the kitchen. The back patio is covered and has solar lights that automatically come on at dusk and stay lit for a reasonable amount of time typical for most people to sit out and enjoy. There are a few chairs and a small table on the back patio. 5 minutes to downtown Pensacola and 15-20 minutes (depending on traffic) to Pensacola Beach. We strive to keep costs down for our guests and don't charge fees for typical cleaning, though we do still pay our housekeeping staff and request that our guests try to leave the home as tidy as possible at check-out in order to maintain our lower nightly rates. We hope you enjoy your stay. *Please note, for privacy reasons and in accordance with their policy, VRBO doesn't release the exact address of the property until 30 days before check-in; if your check-in is less than 30 days from booking, the address is released shortly after booking.
We loved the house! It was a short drive to beaches and was safe for the kids. Good neighborhood and friendly neighbors. Will definitely rebook next time we come to Pensacola. Itâs way better than a hotel. Plus the coffee was a great perk and the beds was comfy and king size mattresses is what we are used to and most places donât offer that. 10 out of 10 recommend!!
Nice and cozy, convenient. Rooms all well furnished and decorated. Everything we needed was provided for nice stay. One of the neighbors apparently has a rooster though so if i come back we will be having fried chicken for supper LOL
Really, really enjoyed our stay. My wife loved the pineapple house. Very clean, very good amenities. Appliances were upgraged and everything worked, and was stocked. Would absolutely rent from Benjamin again.
We have been planning since May to come to Pensacola for the Blue Angels Homecoming Air Show. Since we are only a couple hours from Pensacola we thought we would just make the drive down that morning of the Air Show. Welldown
The place was very nice. The neighborhood was quiet. Necessary accomodations were readily available. I especially liked decorations, I assume that they were done but the owner. They were very unique.
What I loved most about this place is the things you donât immediately see but notice when youâre settled in. The first aid kit, the complementary laundry soap, the pineapple decor (our toddler loved it). The well decorated rooms and clean bathrooms were also a plus. The kitchen was well stocked! We enjoyed our time and will definitely rebook in the future. Thanks for the great experience!
The area this house is in did not feel safe. House itself felt like a rush reno job. On my first night there I killed 4 roaches and 2 spiders. Other than that, the house was clean and cozy and the beds were comfortable
The house was clean, the beds were super comfy. Itâs about a 30 minute drive to Pensacola beach. In a decent location with a short drive to lots of things. It was great stay for our family vacation. We will book again next time we come to the area.
Nothing but great things to say! No issues, quick to respond to any communications, cold A/C, hot water for everyone, comfortable beds, and such a great location. Will be back again!
We have owned this home since 2016 and have enjoyed using as our own getaway from time-to-time, as well as a guest house when family are visiting from out-of-state. It is located near about anything you want to do around Pensacola, has always been quiet for us, and is very comfortable.
