Fully renovated in both 2020 and 2023 to include many customized and handmade European touches (too many pics to fit on most sites, check out our company site for more!). 217 Glen Abbey, lovingly named Casa Gio, is a gorgeous 5 bedroom home sitting on a very private, large, and wooded lot. A five-minute walk along the Vanderhorst Allee of Oaks takes you right on the beach. The house boasts a panoramic view across the pond and the 5th hole of the Turtle Point golf course.
The attention to detail and abundant natural light is evident throughout the home. The open great room features handcrafted cabinetry and built-ins. The custom dining table sits 10-12 guests.
Gaze out of the large picture windows and patio doors looking out to the deck and the new saltwater infinity edge pool (can be heated for $95 per day) It has also been enlarged to accommodate a comfortable lounging area and ample outdoor cooking space (fridge, grill, storage space). The deck is the perfect spot to relax and take in all of Kiawahâs wildlife (mosquito misting system available).
The kitchen has large corner windows with bright white accents and an emphasis on form and function. The cozy, custom-built dining nook highlights a unique table of solid white oak. The high-end appliance package includes Italian made Ilve induction range, Fisher Paykel double drawer dishwasher, and Miele refrigerator. The kitchen extends into an area dedicated to coffee, wine, and storage. Accessible from this area, is a separate laundry room with new Electrolux washer/dryer, utility sink, and folding table. The kitchen opens into the enlarged screened in porch furnished with an 8-seats dining table and lounging furniture.
Off the great room, a set of beautiful sliding doors leads you to a private office/guest suite. The room features a handcrafted murphy bed (queen size â and like all beds in the home has a comfortable Casper mattress) which, when closed, also function as a desk. The murphy bed is completed with wardrobe and storage space. This room has a private access to a full bathroom.
The master suite is conveniently located on the main level. It is bright and spacious, and it features a seating area, desk and chair to relax or work. There are large windows overlooking the pool, the deck, and the wooded backyard. The completely renovated master bathroom features a soaking tub, a separate shower, dual vanities, and separate toilet. walk-in closets with new built-ins complete the ensuite.
Beautiful open staircase leads you to the second floor where you will find a bright area, overlooking the great room below. A second private office, incredible kids' room with swinging bunk sets, a climbing wall, tons of amazing touches. and a fun, custom style bathroom have been added on this floor this spring.
To complete the second floor there are two bedrooms each with its own private, custom-style bathroom. The first bedroom features a queen size bed, a walk-in closet, and a completely renovated bathroom with extra-large bathtub. The second bedroom has a king bed and private bath as well.
Garage with extra fridge and storage
Pool (20'x8', 5' deep end) new propane heater, can be heated for $95 per day, four day min. Yard also has a private putting green! No smoking or pets allowed on property.
Stays of 3 to 21 nights come with a credit of up to $280 (amount dependent on length of stay) to use towards beach gear rentals.
As our guest, you will have access to 5 Championship Golf Courses including The Ocean Course, the location of the 2021 PGA Championship; The Kiawah Island Resort Tennis Center. Local Property Management staff is on hand in case of emergencies and knowledgeable staff can assist you with any needs throughout your stay.
