The Royal at Beauregard Cottage was built in 1924 and is a must see must stay cottage. We are located in the historical Beauregard Town in the heart of downtown Baton Rouge. This cottage offers a view of the Louisiana State Capitol and a community garden. There are lots of walking and sight seeing opportunities with local arts, music, festivals, farmers market, fine dining, and pubs.

The owners have done a great job remodeling the home. It is quaint, a little eclectic and a whole lot adorable! Comfy beds, beautiful large kitchen and plenty of space for everyone. Excellent communication with the hosts! Would highly recommend.

House was great, beautiful as described by previous reviewers. Location is fantastic, easy walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops and an Irish pub! We loved our time in Baton Rouge and the accommodation definitely added to our experience.

The house was very clean. It was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable , the shower / tub were nicely done. The host was very responsive to requests for information. The location is in a very quiet neighborhood within 4 blocks of downtown. Easy access to the freeway and close to Tiger Stadium, we were in town for a game.

Charming Home with Great Location, But Needs Some TLC

The home itself is cute and quaint, with a massive kitchen that was great for our family meals. Overall, it was a clean space and had a lot of potential, but there were several details that took away from the experience.The couch was very worn, and one of the seats was broken, which made relaxing a bit uncomfortable. We weren’t allowed to park in the driveway unless the side street was completely full—then we were told we could use it momentarily, which still made unloading and loading a bit tricky. When we first arrived, the home was very warm and took a while to cool down.There were a few cleanliness issues: hair in the bathtub, lint left in the dryer from previous use, an open Hostess snack in the fridge, and even a used toothbrush in the bathroom. The sheets were very heavily bleached, and unfortunately, my child had an allergic reaction to them.The dĂ©cor felt a bit overdone and cluttered, which made it harder to feel settled. We couldn’t really enjoy the patio as it was overgrown, and we couldn’t locate the BBQ grill. We also didn’t find the games provided until we were packing up to leave, which was a bummer.On the positive side, the owners were responsive and helpful when needed, and the location was great—downtown and only about 8 minutes from the LSU campus, which was super convenient.With a few updates and more attention to detail, this could easily be a great place to stay.

Great Place to Stay and Quick access to LSU Campus

It's a great lil house for a quick stay for my family and I. We came in for my son's graduation at LSU and it's literally less than a 10 minute drive to campus. The house was very clean and quite and the decor was awesome. The best part was how comfortable the beds were. We looked who the manufacturer of the beds were LOL. Great Hosts and a great place!

National Bowling tournament

Stayed overnight for National bowling trip. Was able to walk to Rasin Cane center. Great house great beds.

USBC Bowling

Was down in Baton Rouge for the USBC bowling and our honeymoon. The house we stayed in was beautiful and had lots of personality, even gave me ideas on how to remodel my kitchen. Glenda and Tim were great host and made sure we had everything we needed! Would definitely stay again!

Wonderful stay

The property was very clean and well stocked with everything you’d need to cook a dinner for family. Plenty of dishes and cookware! The owners were super attentive to us-even immediately messaging when I’d forgotten my sunglasses. I recommend this property for comfort and ease of travel to downtown. We even walked to the Old LA Capitol one afternoon.

Great Place Especially if You’re Bowling

House was very well maintained. Only a 2 min drive to the Cane’s Convention Center. Very accommodating host. Awesome tub/shower!!!! Perfect alternative to staying in a stuff Hotel. I’d stay there again and again and again.
