Newly Remodeled Borrego Springs Desert Getaway

The minimalist decor within this desert getaway unit (within a duplex) is the retreat everyone needs and deserves. Even though the unit is located on Borrego Springs Road, and you may hear some street noise, the bedroom is located far enough to allow for a restful evening. As you know between 8 pm-morning there are few cars on the streets in Borrego
Don’t delay in getting your self-care and R&R


It has been a joy to decorate the 550 square feet unit with furnishings from West Elm, Crate & Barrel, CB2, etc. Also, there are 2 mini-splits, 2 smart tvs, WIFI, Cable tv, fire pit, full kitchen


The village of Borrego Springs is recognized as a designated International Dark Sky Community by the International Dark-Sky Association (IDA). There are no stop lights in Borrego Springs and nighttime lighting is kept to a minimum to protect the views of the night sky. Borrego Springs is approximately 90 miles (140 km) from downtown San Diego and the lights of the highly developed California coast. Borrego Springs was designated as California's first International Dark-Sky Community by the International Dark-Sky Association. It is a center for public astronomy activities throughout the year.

Loved that this property was close to town but had the feel of being rural. Air con worked great. Host was very easy to contact and quick to respond. Kitchen seemed fine but we didn’t cook. Would definitely stay here again. All was great.

Great stay! It is right next to the main road and you do hear traffic noise. It did not bother us, but it is something to be aware of. The unit was spotless, had all of the needed amenities, and we would definitely stay again.

Very convient

Very near park and shopping. Easy to get to. Clean and neat. Not 5 stars because we could not get cooktop to work. Also, probably just us, but heat and air controls were a little confusing. Every thing else was great. Dark sky community, so the stars were beautiful. Perfect place to stay.

It was really easy to check in, and everything was clean. We had everything we needed in the kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. I appreciated the AC on the hot afternoons. Cute little place to stay!

Just short of a 10

First, the good. This is a nice half of a duplex. The interior is very roomy and nicely furnished. It has a nice little kitchen which is very modern and well equipped, lacking only an oven - which we would not have used had there been one. The other half of the duplex was occupied during part of our stay but the only way we knew that is because we saw their auto and saw them coming and going. We never heard a sound from them.We arrived the first day of spring and the weather was lovely. We wanted to throw open all the windows and let the breeze blow through but...... all but one of the windows (all of which badly need washing) either had no window screen or had plastic "storm windows." Although everything appeared clean, my spouse commented that it would benefit from a "deep cleaning." To be clear, this would NOT keep us from staying there again. The host was very accommodating and allowed us to check in a couple hours early. She also responded very quickly when we needed help with the TV. Despite our quibbles, we recommend this highly; a lovely space to spend time in Borrego Springs.

Classy and Comfortable

Quaint duplex modernized and updated. Loved the decor. The bed was very comfortable. Another adult slept on the couch and was very comfortable as well. The backyard faces the mountains and desert. We enjoyed sitting at the new picnic table tone sunny afternoon.

An oasis indeed!

My wife and I had a relaxing stay at Nancy’s cozy place. It had everything we needed to be able to cook and grill many of our meals during the stay. Comfy bed, modern amenities and conveniently located to center of town. We will definitely stay here again soon!

Avoiding fireworks

My plan was for my dog and I to have a silent 4th of July. This place was just the ticket. Clean, cool (it was 114° outside), and QUIET. Would definitely stay here again.

House was great, comfortable and clean. The only negative is if you have a dog, it’s very difficult for them to walk outside to pee, lotta weeds and vegetation so we had to walk the dog up to the road which was a bit inconvenient and the road is very busy otherwise loved the place

A wonderful quick trip to the desert

We came for the superbloom that never happened haha. But enjoyed our 2 days in the desert hiking and riding ATVs. The home was clean, well-decorated - looks recently renovated. Kitchen was user-friendly. Well-stocked with herbs and seasonings for cooking. Plenty of plates, utensils, cups, etc. A few snacks and 2 bottles of water were left along with coffee. Bath had nice towels and had shampoo/soap/conditioner. Backyard had comfy chairs a firepit and a good walking area to take our 2 small dogs. Was wonderful to be able to bring our dogs. Great heat/AC that worked well and digital TV so we can watch our Netflix. Would highly recommend!

Lovely bright spot for desert exploration

We loved this newly renovated duplex, absolutely perfect for our first trip to Anza Borrego. Nancy has thought of everything for the kitchen, grill and fire pit, and we loved watching the stars each night. Comfy beds and lovely tile floors, a really super rental experience, very clean and highly recommended!
