It was a clean & pretty unit. The towels provided were flimsy & scratchy. Had to make your own bed. So, you're getting hospital quality & re-sanitized shrink wrap packets. One hand soap for whole place. Not a single pack of laundry or dishwasher soap. So, why check in after 4 PM... busy season, it may be 6. Then check out strictly enforced at 10 AM. What takes housekeeping so long? Why the policy change. This really eats into beach time.

A perfect week!

We really enjoyed our stay, condo was beautiful and very clean. Food in the area was amazing, especially The Pizza Shack at Oak Island.

Great location, nice unit. Needs better cleaning

The unit is a few steps from the beach, able to see from the balcony which is nice. Fully stocked with all the kitchen plates, pots, pans, ect. However, when we got to the unit there was a dead roach on the floor, The dishwasher was still running and didnt do much, some silverwear was moldy, the bottom of the dishwasher was covered in food.Aside from that the area rugs need a deep cleaning or replacement. Beds were not made but im not sure if that is intentional for sanitation or not

Caswell / Oak Island

The property is well suited for a family with teens. TV in second bedroom along with full / twin bunk. You need to bring your own hand and dish soap, dish detergent and any necessary paper products. Linens are provided but you have to make the beds yourself. We were there during a tropical storm so we basically stayed inside the whole time besides going to get take out. We ate at Fixins for breakfast most days - the have nice gluten free options. We ate dinner at Duffer's Grille - we were pleased with our food and the service. We didn't use the kitchen much during our stay so I can't speak to how well equipped it is for cooking. The location was good. We never made it out to the beach because of the storm and we could barely see the ocean due to the heavy rain. You have to stop by the rental office to pickup and drop off the pool and parking passes. Overall, we would consider this unit again - hopefully with better weather.

Quick trip

We made a quick trip down to Southport to meet our friends and were able to book this gorgeous condo last minute. It had a great ocean view, everything was clean and neat and we had everything we needed for our stay. The door code didn’t work when we got there and the beach rental company fixed it right away. The location was great and we would absolutely stay again.

Clean and Close to the Beach!

Great week with the family at The Laughing Seagull. Clean and close to the beach (beach view from the back balcony and short walk to the ocean). We have been going to North Myrtle Beach for the last 15 years or so, so Oak Island / Caswell Beach was a nice change of pace (quite a bit more relaxed and less busy / populated than NMB). Now we love OKI and NMB for different reasons. Would rent here again.

Great Location - Average Condo

Condo is in a great location with easy beach access. Unfortunately, 3 of our 7 days were continuous rain and wind due to Ophelia. Unit was average, kind of cramped compared to the previous week in a fantastic condo in Southport. A lot of steps to get to the unit, which were not to building code (top or bottom step on each level were shorter than all the other steps). Would personally try a different option next time.

Great Family weekend

We had a wonderful week at Oak Island. The property was just as described. It was clean, comfortable and the perfect distance from the beach. Will plan to visit again. Our only complaint was there needed to be some shade provided at the pool.

Amazing Getaway!

This was our first time visiting the area and we are already planning on coming back next year! Location was amazing. Super close to the beach ask you can spend the day there without worrying about being too far from the condo. The pool is an added bonus for days you don’t want to swim in the ocean.

Relaxing vacation

This is a great condo is a very relaxed area. It is great for kids the beach usually has plenty of room to play without being on top of someone else. The view is also great!
