Private and peaceful cottage walking distance to Breakwater Beach and Old Mill Inn Restaurant on the water opening spring 2025. There are two large decks to relax by the firepit and drink your wine from the local wineries. Bikes, kayak, and paddle board are stored in the barn for guests use. Easy access to the marina, fishing, fine dining, vineyards, and farm stands.

Great location and clean home

My wife and I traveled with our son and dog to Mattituck and had a great stay at this home. It was very comfortable and clean, and the host was easy to communicate with. I highly recommend staying here.

What can I say, Carl is the most helpful, quickly responsive and most reliable host we've ever had, and we use VRBO often, and are retired 5 star VRBO hosts. Everything was spotlessly clean, thoroughly updated, and a GREAT location. Quiet neighborhood abot 2 miles off the main county road, and centrally located to everything the North Fork has to offer. Most things are no more than 10 to 15 minutes drive, and just 20 minutes to Greenport, and 25 minutes to Orient Point. We had a FABULOUS stay, and a FABULOUS experience with all NOFO has to offer!

Clean, comfortable house, but not located as close to the beach as advertised. Breakwater Beach did not sell day passes, so we had to drive over to Veteran's Beach on the Peconic.

Light filled, beautifully appointed home that was more than we expected. Gorgeous multiple outdoor areas. Seamless entry and exit. Would happily visit again.

Christmas on the North Fork

My family returned to NY to visit with immediate family and good friends. We chose to stay close to our previous home in Laurel. This home in Mattituck is in a quiet location, close to shopping with some great winter views. Lovely time!

Second Visit Great Again

Returning to this property with our dog. Love being near the water and still close to everything. Brunch at Love Land is minutes away. My dog loves wineries and there are many dog friendly options near by. Dinner at North Fork Table is not far away. Highly recommend!

We were in the area for a wedding weekend so had little time to enjoy the various options but the house was clean, bright. A smidge more info on a/c instructions (taped to back of controller?) could have been helpful. Excellent accomm; would def recomm and book again.

Beautiful house in a quiet neighborhood

My family and I enjoyed our stay. Carl was quick to respond and friendly. The house was very clean and fresh feeling with a minimalist yet warm atmosphere. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. I would rent it again but request a beach parking pass as the walk is a bit far for kids.

Quiet getaway in the heart of the North Fork

We visited in November after the crowds had died down. The property was private and serene. Located very close to hiking, wineries, farms and great restaurants. The house is very well equipped for cooking and relaxing. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. We saw flocks of turkeys and deer passing across the yard. Perfect place for a North Fork getaway.

GREAT PROPERTY

We enjoyed the property and location to the beach. We did drive though vs walk. We also loved being able to get to other towns with shops and vineyards. The home is clean. Bathrooms awesome. Beds comfortable, linens nice. Kitchen fantastic. Outdoor fire pit really nice (wood not gas). In short everything worked. Home was exactly as advertised. Would definitely stay again.

Midweek getaway

Very Nice house!. Clean and close to all the wineries. The beach was residents only parking and we did not have a pass. Was not a walk to it either. Maybe could have got a pass for the day, but we got there late and just drove in and out. We found out that a lot of the beaches in North Fork require Resident parking Passes. We really enjoyed our stay and found it very Relaxing.Thank you Carl for a nice home to hang out for a few days..

Relaxing and Private

My wife and I along with our 16 month old son had a terrific stay here. The house was clean, appliances were all great and the bathrooms were terrific, with a large vanity and tub/show in the main bathroom. Close to a lot of local attractions and also very private and quiet. Would definitely return!

Nice stay

We really enjoyed an early spring weekend at this house. It was nicely decorated and very clean. The owner was very responsive. There are a lot of good restaurants nearby and the wineries are close. There is abundant wildlife viewing-we saw a wild turkey, deer, osprey and loons. The fire pit (solo stove) on the patio was lovely. Thanks for sharing a beautiful spot!
