The house was nice and spacious enough for the 4 of us. The house was close enough to walk to the red line, about 18 minutes. Just keep in mind you'll have 2 big inclines walking back from the station. The neighborhood was quiet and overall a nice stay.

This is not as described. It is not close to downtown Boston and to take public transportation you have to walk up and down a very steep hill. The area is also very sketchy. It is very loud with tenants living above and below you. The back stairwell goes both up and down to both properties which also leads to your kitchen. There is no deadbolt on this door which is very old and flimsy. After not sleeping all night due to the noise there was an incident where someone started banging on the back door and ringing the doorbell nonstop for over 10 minutes. When I finally realized it was coming from our back door and went to peek out the door and there was a big man in his underwear running down the steps. My granddaughter and I were very afraid and upset. When requested to get my money back for the three unused days I was told okay. The money refunded was minimal and not the amount I should have received under the circumstance. I never write reviews but since we both were traumatized by this situation I want to spare others the same fate. DO NOT STAY HERE!

The listing clearly notes that the home is located just outside downtown Boston and that public transportation requires a short walk, including a hill that is typical for the area. Regarding noise, this is a multi-unit property, which is also disclosed in the listing, and while most guests are comfortable, sensitivity to sound can vary. We take safety very seriously. The property is equipped with secure entry points, and we have not had prior reports of safety concerns. The incident described was unusual and not representative of the typical experience at our property, but we understand how it could have been unsettling. As for the refund, it was processed in accordance with our cancellation policy and the terms agreed upon at booking. We truly regret that your stay caused discomfort and appreciate your feedback, as it helps us continue improving the guest experience.
