The deck and screened porch at Foster's Ocean View (3BR/3BA - Sleeps 8 - 1K, 1D, 1Q, 1 Double over Single Bunk Bed) display Edisto Beach in a beautiful light. This original beach cottage provides the comfort and convenience that each member of your group is sure to enjoy. Stunning views of the Atlantic, Edisto Beach, birds, and beachgoers are available all day and evening. Your basic needs are tended with wireless internet, cable television, and a fully equipped kitchen. This dog-friendly home is set on a corner lot so access to the roar of the ocean waves couldn't be easier to enjoy. Don't break the bank. Treat yourself to a traditional Edisto Beach vacation. Location was awesome. House was NOT clean and had roaches. Lot of checkout rules for leaving the house clean upon departure for a house that was not clean when we arrived. The location was very good as it was right across the street from the beach. The house had a lot of areas in disrepair and for the money of a 5 day 4 night stay you would think the owners would repair the internal damages of the home.Overall I would rate the house as a 5 out of 10 and we stay on the island at least 2X per year with this expensive rental being the least favorable of the last 5 we have rented through VRBO.

This property is meant to be a cute and simple beach cottage. It is cute from the outside and the sun room is good for sitting . The place should not be rented, however: there is damage and dirt and a lack of TLC. We didn’t stay the two nights we planned on staying; it was disappointing, and other reviews were quite misleading, especially for the price we paid!

It was perfect!!

Beautiful home, lovely views and had everything we needed! Was also nice being able to bring our senior dog who had been diagnosed with cancer recently for his last beach trip with the family. This place felt like a home away from home and holds a special place in our hearts!

A good typical old school beach house.

Fosters is a cute beach shack with a great location. It tends to get a little noisy on Palmetto but minimally. The house looks to have had some recent upgrades such as new blinds and windows the kitchen however is in need of cabinet and countertop updates although well appointed with dishes, glasses, plenty of cookware. Additionally, the den furniture is uncomfortable and we wished it would be replaced each year we come. Beds are comfortable. I love that the new rental company supplies sheets and towels!!

Its was a perfect getaway for my family. Had everything we needed in the house and on the island. Perfect vacation destination. Easy access to beach and love the island time.

Review - Foster's Ocean View

This house needs a lot of TLC. We understand that the rental company has only been managing this house for two months. It's a good basic beach house so I hope the owners work with the company to improve the interior. The kitchen is old, old - the microwave's handle was hanging by a thread and broke off (rental company was aware of its condition), cabinets loose. Furniture not in great shape. With that said, we were there when it was really cold so we couldn't enjoy the screened porch which was nice or the sitting area under the house. The house is in a good location - on the main drag but just across the street from a beach entrance. We weren't happy with the rental company's policy regarding bringing your own sheets and towels. And there were no kitchen towels, paper towels or dish soap. We're just used to having the basics included in rental properties we've previously enjoyed. I do not appreciate the additional fee applied from Homeaway nor the additional $200 pet damage fee that the rental company said would be refunded to me after our stay. This is on top of the non-refundable pet fee of $175 (I totally understand that one). The representatives from the rental company were super nice on the phone and I liked the old fashioned touch of picking your house keys up from their front porch. This was our first time to Edisto Beach and we love, love it there and plan to return next spring. We'll just be more attentive when selecting a rental home.
