A Miner's Cottage nestled in a beautiful stand of aspen trees = a quiet retreat just for you!

An entire 3 bedroom 3.5 bath accessible open layout home will be your home during your stay.
The property is surrounded by protected wooded green space with the Taylor Run trail adjacent on the northwest side.

The Owners Club, pools & lake are accessible by hiking or a short 5 minute drive.

Enjoy bird watching, fishing, hiking and picnicking without driving anywhere!
(no large parties allowed)

We had a wonderful time at AspenHouse and can't wait to return again! Hailey is a wonderful host and was available if needed. The house was beautiful and clean and had everything we needed and more. We loved all the wildlife that would come by the house, my dog was especially interested in the turkeys. Can't wait to stay again!

It was nice to be so close to hiking trails for the dog and was an easy trip to Galena for a day of shopping. Good communication with host.

Location was very quiet and private yet not far from downtown Galena. Especially enjoyed the “visit” from a flock of 20 wild turkeys!

Great property — had access to hiking trails, fitness center with swimming pools, pickle ball courts, & other activities. Close to Galena for shopping, tours & dining. Loved the screened porch & property very private.

Our hostess, Hailey, was so helpful. Our check-in was very easy & the home was perfect for the 6 of us. It was clean and roomy and we so enjoyed ourselves. Pretty home. Very dog friendly. Could not get dvd player in basement to work. Would have liked a tv in common area. Overall a great experience. Thank you!

Because the lower level is a common area I decided to create that as the family entertainment zone. There was a TV upstairs in the bedroom as well. Beautiful property!

We had a great time and lots fun things to do around Galena Territory. House had a great set up and the enclosed porch overlooking the woods was a great place to grill and relax.

Great Escape in the Woods!

Lovely home. Spacious, and loaded with things to make your stay homelike and comfy. Beautiful artwork and natural light. Really great Vrbo listing with a property manager who answered my texts within minutes throughout the stay. We loved it here and will likely return.

Cozy getaway for a girls weekend in Galena

Great location close to Galena but still away from everything. Perfect for our group of 5 adult women (late-30s) to celebrate a friends recent marriage.

Perfect place to stay with family

My family really enjoyed our stay at the Aspen house! Close to Galena, and a short drive to many other popular destinations in area. The home had everything we needed for our stay, and our host Hailey was quick with responses to questions regarding our stay. Our favorite spot was the screened porch facing the woods!

Great Stay!

The property was beautiful. The house was great for our short get-away. We were able to walk on the trail near the property to enjoy the nature nearby. It was a shorty drive to downtown Galena. Thank you for helping provide a relaxing stay!

I have enjoyed years of travel around the world and am delighted to share the beauty and serenity of the Driftless region with guests. As a parent to small children I have worked to create a family friendly retreat. I look forward to hosting your group and am happy to offer ideas and suggestions for unique activities in and around Galena!

This is NOT a townhome with any attached property. The entire house and property will be yours during your stay! It is located on one acre and surrounded by Galena Territories' protected woodland.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

The aspen trees surrounding the house are restorative and beautiful. The protected green space surrounding the property means you will likely encounter deer, rabbits, squirrels, chipmunks, wild turkey as well up to 70 other birds.

Guests will enjoy 5 complimentary guest passes to access all the amenities at the Galena Territory Association Owners Club. This includes the indoor / outdoor pool as well as game room, gym and fitness center.

Lake Galena is an easy .5 mile walk down the adjacent Taylor Run trail.
No need to drive!
At the Marina you will be able to rent a kayak or canoe and enjoy a picnic on the lake! (picnic back packs included with your stay but rentals’ are at guests’ cost)

The first pet is included in your stay - for a second pet there is a non refundable $50 pet fee. Sorry only 2 dogs max.
