Welcome to Carol's Cottage, where you'll discover a charming and comfortable home that captures your heart from the moment you arrive.

On the main floor, you’ll find cozy living space and kitchen along with one bedroom. The main level is open and modern, featuring a wood-burning fireplace, smart TV, and a large sofa and side chairs. The sofa is a sleeper bed, offering additional sleeping arrangements. The open kitchen design ensures that everyone can socialize together without feeling separated. On the second floor, the primary bedroom features a king-sized bed and ensuite bathroom. Bed linens and towels are provided for the max occupancy of the home (Carol's Cottage has a max occupancy of 6). Laundry is available in the home during your stay, located upstairs.

During the warmer months, step out onto the deck from the living room to enjoy the wooded backdrop while sipping on a glass of wine and grilling up a BBQ feast on the gas grill. Carol's Cottage is dog-friendly (hypo-allergenic only) - a maximum of two dogs weighing up to 30 lbs each. A $150 dog fee applies.

Conveniently situated just minutes from Eagle Ridge Resort, the newly expanded Stonedrift Spa, Lake Galena, and scenic walking/running trails, Carol's Cottage offers the ideal retreat. Our guests also have access to The Galena Territory Owner's Club amenities, with six access cards provided for use of indoor and outdoor swimming pools, basketball, pickleball, and tennis courts, Lake Galena, and the Marina; select amenities may have an additional fee. While Eagle Ridge Resort amenities are reserved for their guests, our guests are welcome to enjoy Eagle Ridge's public golf courses, spa, and dining options available at the resort.

Carol's Cottage is a short drive to all of the golf courses (South, North, East, and The General), a four-minute drive to the Country Store, a seven-minute drive to the Owners Club (featuring indoor/outdoor pools, a fitness center, tennis and basketball courts, and a game room), a 10-minute drive to Downtown Galena, Piggly Wiggly, and Walmart for any necessary essentials.

Please note that we highly advise purchasing travel insurance for your trip, as we do not have a Covid or weather cancellation policy.

Very cozy cottage!

This property is so cute and cozy. Perfect for 4 adults and one dog. It's only 10 minutes from downtown Galena, and 5 from the Eagle Ridge Resort. Showers were great, too! Brian was easy to communicate with when we had an questions. I would definitely rent again!

Winter getsway

I would recommend this VRBO home to all. This home was beautiful , and had everything we needed to make our stay wonderful. The area was easily accessible and quiet. The booking process was a breeze and the owners were thoughtful by checking to make sure everything was to our liking. I would definitely stay here again.

Cottage was beautiful and clean. Showers were awesome with good water pressure and shower heads high enough for taller people. Everyone in the group was in agreement we would come back.

Adorable!

Carol’s Cottage is adorable. Cute and quaint and cozy! We had a great stay and would definitely rent again. Looked exactly like the pictures. The property was clean, the beds were comfortable and it had everything we needed.

The cottage itself was great! It is a bit out of the way- It is also an HOA with many amenities, but they are miles away. We had some trouble navigating where to find the needed parking pass to utilize the amenities. The cottage is nestled among several other little cottages. Nice place, Galena is a lot of fun with very kind people!

Galena retreat

The house was excellent. Clean. Beds were nice. Shower great. Great area to walk and close to town. Didn’t really use the kithchen much as we only had a couple days and wanted to experience the Galena restaurants. :) Quiet and peaceful.

Fantastic few days!

The Settlement home was perfect for us. You walk in the front door and immediately you get a wonderfully warm feeling! Everything was sparkling clean and convenient... comfortable couch, and great variety on the television, full size kitchen, and great small deck with table, chairs, and a very clean grill! My husband is handicapped so we used the first floor bedroom/bath which was perfect for us. There is a huge bedroom on the second floor, large bathroom with tub and shower, and full sized washer and dryer. WOW! And did I mention the ease of booking and dealing with the management? Things went very smoothly, questions answered immediately etc. I recommend you book ASAP if you know your dates as it fills up quickly. We are returning in the fall!

We had a great stay. Brian was very responsive to several questions I had during the stay. The house was very clean and comfortable. It is very quiet out at The Settlement this time of the year and we loved it. Definitely would stay again.
