Weekend Trip

Beautiful location! We have stayed at crystal sands numerous times but this was the first time in this unit. It was very well decorated and super clean.

Enjoyable Stay

Crystal Sands was the perfect place to stay for a beach vacation. All the comforts of home with high quality cookware and all sizes and types of dishes. The bath towels are luxurious and looked brand new. It’s close to grocery stores and shopping.

Our stay at Crystal Sands 214A, Destin FL was not what we hoped for. A few suggestions to provide a more safe and pleasurable stay for future renters:Provide a clean master bedroom mattress cover and comforterRemove dirt and debris from floorRemove black mold from washer door seal and sliding glass door track Ensure all kitchen utensils and serving dishes are clean and free from food particlesProvide a more comfortable AC temperature range (i.e. 70-72 degrees)

Perfect for a beach stay!!!

Very nice!! It’s a very short walk to the beach and the beach service can’t be beat!! The only negative for me is that it’s definitely not as clean as it should be.

Only recommendation is to update the living room furniture. What is in the condo is very uncomfortable.

It was a great escape from Iowa. Love the beach

Easy to get around. Did have a hard time with gate code. Had to enter several times.

First time

We had an overall, pleasant experience. I will say that this place needs to make some updates. In comparison to other buildings in the area, it looks extremely old, and the pool area is quite pitiful. Thankfully, the beach was beautiful the days we were there so we spent most of our time there, but on the days we incorporated the pool, it felt like we were an old motel.

Furniture

The stay was fine . We had few problems but the communication between me and ocean reef was seamless and the responses were super fast . I only gave it 3 stars because of the living room furniture. That couch is very hard and uncomfortable and you can do better than the wicker patio furniture in the living room. I would consider staying again if the furniture was upgraded.

Furniture both inside and outside are uncomfortable. Single ply toilet paper is not fitting for the price paid.

Mediocre Experience

View and location was excellent!! However, the condo was not so much. Lots of repairs needed. Couldn’t check in on time. Had to get a loaner refrigerator that took up the whole kitchen space. Lost a lot of groceries due to failed freezer. No working light in master bedroom. Moldy shower curtain. Will stay in this area again, but definitely not in this unit.

Update and clean

The furniture was very uncomfortable! The king bed had ruts and needs to be replaced. The bathroom had broken tiles and mold. The washer smelled terrible! The maintenance man came into our condo with no warning. We never received a call to advise us of his visit. I was just out of the bath and naked! He knocked once and then let himself in. We have stayed in this area numerous times over 10 years and love crystal beach. But never again in this unit.

Furniture Update

First off we would like to say how clean everything was, that was awesome!! Check in was very easy. The beach chairs and umbrellas were very nice to be included. Bed was comfortable. Good supply of towels Great location Great appliances Condo did not have any spices or other condiments to cook with, bring your own!! You only get two rolls of toilet paper and one roll of paper of towels. This is a older condo but very CLEAN!! Can use updating but location and cleanest made up for older condo. The main issue we had being older, was the furniture was very uncomfortable. We ended up putting extra pillows and extra comforter on sofa to be able to sit and watch TV. But over all we loved our visit and would look at this condo again next time we visit

Overall great with a few suggestions

Upon arrival, it seemed very clean and well kept; although there was a musty smell. I would suggest putting something in the room to make it smell better. We would have loved it if there was atleast 1 day’s worth of coffee available in the room since we got in late from the airport the evening before. We ran out of toilet paper, so I would leave a few extra rolls in a closet. The kitchen trash can lid was smashed inside the trash can so it wouldn’t pop open. And lastly, there was a washcloth hanging on the curtain rod of the shower that had rust on it, looked like it have been there awhile. I threw it in the washing machine. Overall, a nice place to stay. We enjoyed everyone we met in Destin. Just wanted to give a few suggestions as we stay in lots of short term rentals.
