Family Vacation

Stayed a weekend while attending wedding

This place worked great for us, 5 adults and 4 children. We were attending a wedding in the area. The location was close to both the wedding and reception. The house was spacious and accommodated us very well.

Awesome Getaway

Very nice house. The one thing I wasn’t sure about was the lack of privacy the master bedroom had. We made it work for our family. Would recommend to others

Glad you enjoyed your family vacation! While the loft area bed is upstairs from the master bedroom, every other room is separated and private. We understand with large 15-16 people groups that the loft area will be utilized and it is still secluded and out of view from every bedroom. It is actually a comfortable and cozy spot to rest! We hope to host you all again in the future!

Weekend Getaway

My DND crew and I stayed here for a weekend of gaming. The property was spacious and scenic, and having access to the lake was especially nice for those in our group who weren’t there to game. The place itself was absolutely stunning—the pictures don’t show you just *how much* room there is. We were all impressed!

Beautiful home! Lots of space. Just FYI for your maintenance: Water never got really hot in the kitchen. Dryer also didn't get clothes really dry. Thank you!

Great Lake House

Lake house was very accommodating for our big family. The house is split up into two sections with the foyer, kitchen and dining room in the middle. Tons of parking. Our kids loved riding the provided bikes around the neighborhood. Nice empty lot next to the house where we set up a volleyball net. Huge backyard that is covered with Trex decking boards. We were able to play games out there like bucket ball and corn hole. We did not feel comfortable to get into the lake, so we did not do any boating or swimming.

Family Gathering at Grand Lake

My family from MI and NC met here for a vacation. Access was simple and combined lake and canal front was great too. We all found the house exceptionally clean. We rented a pontoon boat and parked it on site. The house is huge and so is the property; we used the side yard and lived on the spacious deck. Bedroom 2 is awkward as one must either pass through Bedroom 1 or 3 to enter it. We made it work. Upstairs kitchenette was convenient. We fished, boated and had hoped to swim in the lake but due to algae unfortunately could not. We headed to the local outdoor pool and YMCA to swim. A pool would be a huge plus here and there is ample room for it. Sunset didn’t come until past 9 each night so we sat by the fire pit, on the deck or by the water every night. Ben was very easy to communicate with. We had a great time.

Great weekend trip

Our family rented this house as our son was returning from deployment with the Navy. This house provided a great location for our parents to come together and welcome our son home for a short weekend trip. We could all hang out together at meal times yet have our own areas to spread out. This property is large and has beautiful views of the lake and canal, a large porch area with access from several places around the property. There are two bedrooms upstairs off of the living room which share a bathroom (sink, toilet, tub/shower and queen size beds; off the living room is a dining area for 8 and a wet bar, a bathroom (sink, toilet, standing shower), a game room with a small sink/bar; spacious kitchen and a more formal dining room which had games, board games to play. The front foyer is spacious with 2 closets for coats, if needed. From the foyer is an access door to the garage for trash, access door to the game room on the second story, access to the laundry room which has a sink and toilet. At the end of the hall is the main bedroom with a kingsize bed, nursery, walk in closet, and bathroom. From the main bedroom is access to an outdoor porch which connects to the larger porch; there is also a set of stairs which takes you to the loft area. There is a queen size bed which sits low to the floor and is open. From that bed is a hallway to another bedroom which has a queen bed and 2 bunk beds; this bedroom connects to the game room with 2 bunk beds and a futon.

Overall great experience

We stayed here over Thanksgiving with my extended family (8 adults, 7 children under 8). We had a great time. Plenty of room for everyone, lots of room for the kids to run. Property manager was responsive when needed. Overall great time.

Great place by the lake

This beautiful home was everything that’s advertised and more. It was perfect for our family gathering. Kids and adults were all entertained for several days. The layout of the house is amazing. Kayaks, fishing, plenty of Gathering spaces for all. Love love loved it. Can’t wait to stay here again.

Family reunion/celebration

Very easy, comfortable, and beautiful spot for us to stay and to have friends and family to visit. Large common areas for meals, games, visiting and fun. Comfortable rooms, beds, and facilities for those staying at the house. Fun games, outdoor toys, kayaks and bikes for outside. Well stocked kitchen - everything easy to find an use! We had a great time! The hosts were easily accessible and helpful. Would rent again!

Birdwatching haven and perfect extended family house

Such a great house for multiple families, with designated separate wings and multiple sleeping arrangements and a central kitchen. Perfect for infants too, as the nursery in the master bedroom made life so easy for us! Older kids loved the bunk bed options and game room. A very unique architecture, water views from every room and lots of light. The house is very tastefully decorated and well maintained, and was super clean upon arrival. The owner was very kind and accommodating over the phone. Beautiful lake and canals… would love to come back when the weather is warm, but we throughly enjoyed all the spring bird watching opportunities both from the house and on the trails/beach at the state park… so many water birds—grebes, white pelican migration, ducks, mergansers, herons, gulls galore. Highly recommend this spot!

We promise to do our best as hosts to make sure that you fully enjoy your stay each and every time you are in our care.

Master bedroom is large, cozy, and rejuvenating. Has attached master bathroom, nursery with crib and glider, walk-in closet, electric fireplace, private solarium, and a super comfortable Purple king mattress. There is a second kitchenette on the far wing of the home that includes a mini fridge, sink, and coffee maker if you need some more privacy from the group. We own the grass areas to the left and right of the home, as well as the lake front area across the street for you to roam free in and enjoy the sunset over the water! We include fun amenities for you to enjoy which include: PS4, smart TV's, shuffleboard, bumper pool table, card table top, cards, poker chips, board games, fishing poles, 2 kayaks, & 2 bikes. Essential amenities we provide include kitchenware, toaster, coffee, ice maker, high chair, towels, sheets & blankets, pillows, 8 rolls of TP, 4 rolls of paper towels, travel size soap, shampoo and conditioner, hand soap, dish soap, 2 dishwasher pods. There are 2 large tables to seat 8-10 each for meals. TV in living room is a Smart TV, which also has cable TV channels. Wifi is strong throughout the house as well!

Our house is only 1 of the 3 around the cul-de-sac, and it is a very quiet and private area that we own most of the property around. The area is kept in beautiful condition, and the views of the lake and the sunsets are tremendous.
