Welcome to Sunset Getaway on Mallett's Bay! This captivating lakefront home offers spectacular views of majestic mountains and an alluring lake that will rejuvenate your soul. The Sunset Getaway allows you to live the Vermont lake life.

The water level of the lake can be high in the spring and summertime, if this occurs there may be little to no beach on the shoreline. Water/beach shoes are strongly recommended.

For the security of our guests and the safety of our home we have a ring doorbell located at the outside entrance.

Servicing of the hot tub to occur every Friday

*Please note that stairs to access the beach are across the street from the property. This property does NOT sit directly on the beach. You must cross the street to access the stairs to go down to the beach.

**ANY DOCKS IN THE WATER ARE PRIVATE AND OFF LIMIT TO GUESTS!

Unbeatable view! Well equipped comfortable home overlooking Mallets Bay. Highly recommend showers were incredible and the beds were comfortable for all.

Great time visiting Vermont breweries and local sites in Burlington. The house was very comfortable and met all our needs

The Sunset Getaway Cottage was absolutely perfect! We thoroughly enjoyed the house, but the best part was the deck and Adirondack chairs and the breath-taking views of Mallets Bay every morning and evening. We were only 5-6 miles from Burlington, so we had the best of all possible worlds. I wouldn't hesitate to book again. A big thank you to Kylie who was a great host and provided all kinds of great info on Burlington and Colchester!

Colchester Vaca

The home is beautiful and has a wonderful location right on Lake Champlain. Many great places in Burlington and Winooski only 15-20 minutes away. Property managers were extremely helpful and made sure we were had everything we needed and were comfortable and welcomed in their home. Kids loved the movie theater and Pac-Man game. Highly recommended.

Dream vacay

My friends and I had an awesome time here! So close to Burlington to shop and go out. Also really close to a bunch of amazing hikes which we were able to bring my dog Arlo on!

Great place to stay, 20 min drive to burlington, beautiful lake views and comfortable beds. Movie theatre room did not look like advertisement however this did not disrupt our stay.

Great Location

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The kids loved the theatre room and their time by the water. The house was clean and the host was very responsive and easy to work with. Would recommend highly for families visiting the Burlington/Colchester area.

Quaint lakeside property in a residential area so it feels very nice. The house is very nice with all the amenities you need. The layout and the style of the house is great. You need a car but it is very close to many wonderful places!

Beautiful House/Location

We really enjoyed our stay. The location of the house was very convenient to both Mallet's Bay (across the street) and Burlington. We were able to enjoy the beach access, the kayaks and paddle board. The theater room and Pacman machine is a great touch for those with little kids (we had our 6 year old with us). The beds were comfortable and the linens were clean and of quality. We would definitely stay here again.

Lakeside Retreat

My family had a wonderful stay in Colchester. We loved the house, the view of the lake was incredible. My kids loved it so much they want to rent it every year! Great recommendations from the hosts for restaurants and hiking in the area. We loved the move theater - and had a great night going to the drive-in movies a few miles down the road! We will be back!

Weekend Getaway for VT Wedding

The property was what we expected from the pictures, even a little better in person. The perfect layout for us, traveling with three teenagers. They had their own space downstairs, and we had ours upstairs with a beautiful view. The beds were all super comfortable and the place was well stocked with everything we needed. Our host, Kylie was very responsive and even let us check in a little early to get ready and make it to the rehearsal dinner on time. Beautiful area with restaurants and convenience store less than 5 minutes away. Loved the sunsets!

Great house with a beautiful view

This is a beautiful, clean house located right across from Mallett’s Bay. We had a great time with our 3 teenagers. There’s a few things about the house that are helpful to know: 1. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked with great appliances and everything you need to serve meals. 2. The master bedroom suite has a barn door, which means it doesn’t lock. The bathroom also has a barn door, which means it doesn’t lock and you don’t have full privacy. There’s also a vent in the master bedroom that goes right to the basement area. Every sound travels. So if you’re looking for privacy in the master bedroom, it’s hard to get. 3. The lake is across a street and then you have to walk down 3 flights of stairs to the water. There is a tiny sliver of sand that serves as your “beach”. We had a ton of fun sitting on the chairs, kayaking and my son learned to SUP, but if you’re looking to lay out or have a sandy area, it’s not here. Kylie was very responsive and wanted to know how to make it a great experience. We had a really fun time at this property and as long as you know about the above, you’ll have a great time.

Last days of summer getaway

We loved our stay at the house. It was clean, fit is well & the host was very in-touch. Vermont is a special place & we enjoyed exploring the area on various day trips to Burlington, Stowe, Shelburne & the islands.

Relaxing lake getaway

Beautiful property right on the bay. Beautifully updated amenities, plenty of room and very comfortable. We loved spending time relaxing in the water at the private beach while feeling right at home. Highly recommend this property. The owners were very responsive and attentive and take great care of the house.

Beautiful lake views, creative renovation - but it's not quite done

There is a lot of love and creativity put into this property, which is almost finished being renovated. We loved the lay out and the location of the property on the lake. Some challenges with our stay included: messages from the app let us know the property was ready when it was not, master shower water not turning on and not hearing from the host until the end of the day - we eventually got one of four pieces of the shower to turn on, ants in the home. When we corresponded with the host, they were kind and apologetic.

Amazing sunsets

The house was clean and well stocked with the usual necessities and more. The host was very responsive. The view of the bay was wonderful, from the watching the sailboats to the beautiful sunset.
