We so appreciated the off-the-beaten path location of this home. It is secluded, and has amazing views. We visited in mid-October, and the colors didnât disappoint. The accommodations were perfect for my husband and I, as we traveled with my cousin and her husband. It was helpful to have separate bathrooms upstairs and downstairs, along with the bedrooms. The host was quick to respond to questions as well.
We loved everything about our stayâthe peaceful neighborhood, the gorgeous view of Lake Champlain, the deck facing the lake on which we enjoyed coffee to start the day and a glass of wine watching the stunning sunsets at the end of the day, and the expansive yard with the sense of privacy and separation from neighboring homes. The house itself was very comfortable for two couples, there was plenty of space for everyone to sit and relax comfortably, and the layout of the dining and living room area was conducive to conversation. The two bedrooms with queen beds each had generous closet and dresser space. The water pressure and ample hot water in each shower was wonderful, and there were sufficient towels for all of us. While we rated the house as five stars, we feel that the outfitting of the kitchen would benefit from a refresh. All of the knives were in need of sharpening (so if you are a foodie or plan to do much cooking, it might be best to bring your own), and the scissors were equally dull. We did not find some of the kitchen tools that we expected, such as a vegetable peeler or kitchen tongs. The finish on virtually all of the Teflon cookware is very worn; thankfully there were two skillets with a ceramic finish that we used. Stemless glass wine glasses also would be a great addition. None of the kitchen issues, however, affected what was an absolutely marvelous stay. We would love to stay here again!
The setting of this home is wonderful. You have a full view of Lake Champlain in a very quiet neighborhood surround by beautiful tall trees. We didn't use any of the "toys" but they had them available. The place was comfortable for such an old house however some refreshes are due. For starters the towels. I'm pretty sure they were from when their grandparents lived there. The funiture on the patio could also be updated. The list of rules could be put on new paper so it didn't look so stained, petty I know put overall impression is important. We did appreciate the hand written notes we found throughout the house with special instructions. Overall we just had to remind ourselves it was a "lake house".
We had a wonderful week! Great location with beautiful views of the lake right from the back deck. Stunning sunsets every night! We all enjoyed time on the lake canoeing, kayaking, and paddle boarding. Thank you!
64 Windy Lane was just as described, perfect for our family. We were able to enjoy the lake during a hot week. We had fun walking through the beautiful neighborhood and exploring the area. We would definitely rent here again.
Great property. True to its description, if not better! Don was a pleasure to work with. The beds were so comfy, which is the biggest issue we have experienced at other homes. The open floor plan was the best. Never missed a moment while doing kitchen duties! Thank you Don for sharing your property with us!
This property was a great place to stay for a friends trip. The view from the deck is gorgeous. The property is clean and well maintained. Would definatelt recommend.
Truth in Advertising! The views from this house were truly amazing. Our whole stay was terrific. The house is comfortable and well appointed. We loved the views from the deck facing the lake. It was a nice plus to ride provided bikes to the Colchester Causeway, which is nearby. The location is quiet but close enough to downtown to explore downtown and other surrounding areas.
One word...SERENITY! We've been to a lot of places, but this was by far, the most serene, quiet place, overlooking the beautiful lake. The location was perfect and very private. We were close enough to Burlington waterfront for the action, shopping and waterfront restraunts, and came home to peaceful evening sunsets! The owner was very nice and easy to work with. We would definitely stay here again!
Comfortable, well stocked kitchen, and plenty of space to relax. TV is very small but doable. There were only 3 wash rags provided, which was a problem for a stay of more thana few days. The upstairs bedroom was also very warm at night, even with fans running. Overall, clean, well maintained home with a stunning view of the lake!
View of Lake Champlain amazing fromThe yard anmd deck! Access to bike trail was perfect!!!Accommodations were adequate.âŠgarage perfect for storing our bikes overnight. Unfortunately the Grill was not working property, needed to grill our steaks inside. Suggestion to upgrade the computer screen size TV to a larger oneâŠit would help on a rainy day! All in all we had a great time with friends da and family!
It was a very nice house with all the amenities we needed! It is setback somewhat so we had a difficult time finding it the first time. But I highly recommend it!!! Beautiful view of Lake Champlain.
Older lake house with magnificent views. Owner was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. Nice and secluded but a little difficult to find in the dark. We would definitely stay here again!
It was a great central location for all of the places we visited. The view was amazing from the deck! I would have checked excellent but the guys were wishing for a bit larger TV. Otherwise it was perfect! Will stay again if in the area.
This house has great views. The property was clean and had all the essentials we needed for a comfortable stay. The view from the deck is perfect for morning coffee or evening relaxation.
The property is picture perfect, the views of Lake Champlain are stunning. We had a great time in the Burlington. The house is close to most things, yet feels secluded. The best ofboth worlds.
This property is next to 62 Windy Lane, which is also available for rental through VRBO. Its listing number is 163669. Both houses are well separated and have a great amount of privacy. they are both located on Porters Point, which is a quiet neighborhood with privacy. A boat mooring comes with the property. Access to the water is by a set of stairs leading to a large dock.
