Amazing Stay At Li’l Gecko Cottage

We stayed 3 nights at Li’l Gecko Cottage and had an amazing time! The house was exactly what we were looking for. Abby and Gina were very accommodating, first class service. Already planning our next trip!

Li'l Gecko, the perfect place to stay

Li'l Gecko was the perfect choice for us (two men visiting the Bahamas for work, no wives this trip). It has two master bedrooms and was a convenient 10 minute golf cart ride away from the job, both of these features were very important to us. Li'l Gecko is tucked away in it's own secluded space. The views from the crows nest are spectacular and the garden oasis is beautiful. The cottage itself is well appointed, very comfortable and relaxing. A great place to come home to after a long, hot day of installing cabinets. Abby (the owner) is awesome, very helpful and always answers emails and questions promptly and thoroughly, we were never left wondering about anything. Gina (the caretaker) was very helpful during our stay. She took very good care of us. All in all a great place to stay, whether it's for work or vacation! Maybe we'll bring our wives next time! But either way we will be back!

My parents bought Li'l Gecko in 2002. They rented until about 2015 when they decided to spend more time there. Unfortunately, my dad got sick right about when Hurricane Dorian hit. So, my husband and I managed the rebuild — Guana holds such a special place in all our hearts (we got married at grabbers in 2010) we are committed to the post-Dorian era here. It took us from Sept 1 2019 until May 1 2021 for us to get the cottage livable again, after having to remodel from the studs after Dorian's damage (and power restored) but we are so happy with how it turned out. We never did get my dad back, but it's our little paradise and the improvements we made make it all that more enjoyable for us, my mom, our friends and renters. We hope you agree.

The outdoor spaces are a source of pride here. Every day you'll find a new place to relax with a cup of coffee or ice-cold drink and a good book or your favorite tunes, dependent on mood, sun and breeze. From the crow's nest to the lower garden space, we've put a lot of energy into creating a special oasis for ourselves and our guests.
