Relax in the open space with large windows with a touch of modern design while enjoying a home cooked meal made in the newly renovated kitchen, visit Woodstock (10mins), Kingston (12mins), Saugerties (22min) and close by Phenicia .... Rhinebeck....Hudson.. Festivals. Soak up the outdoors in the summer or winter at Hunter MT (45min) and Windham MT (1hr) all close.

We had a great stay at Cabin 85! My friends and I were in the area for the NY State Sheep and Wool festival and it was a great location just an easy drive across the river from Rhinebeck. It’s a super clean, quiet, beautiful location in the woods. The hosts were very responsive to my questions before we got there and check-in was so easy. It was a lot of fun to stay in the loft and listen to the records on the record player. We would have liked more sofa seating to be able to hang out and lounge in the evenings, but we made it work :) Overall a 5-star stay!

Not for older adults

We chose this property for the location and price. We came to visit friends in Woodstock. We are older adults, one over 55 and the other 3 adults in our party over 60. The property boasts sleeping for 9, however the king size bed plus two twin beds are located in a loft area with a wood rung ladder as the only access up and down which can be challenging for most adults especially at night with little light to access the bathroom. The inside was clean, however we did have issues with the microwave not being clean and the shower curtain could use to be replaced. What we were looking forward to most was sitting outside on the back deck. The property grounds outside were overgrown so it was not conducive to walking around the property outside. The back deck was not swept and could use a good cleaning. The outside grill also had not been cleaned. While the property owners were nice and communicative before arrival as well as with checkout, we were hoping for a better cared for property for the cost, and expected more given the reviews that were posted so we unfortunately left disappointed.

Slow Start But Strong Finish!

We arrived during a power outage. It wasn’t looking good for this trip. Reach out to the owners and they got back to me very quickly. We went into town to get some groceries in the meanwhile. When we got back, the trip was officially on. We really liked the look of the cabin. It was kind of secluded which we liked and it wasn’t too hard to find. Make sure you have your gps if it’s dark outside. Everything you need is already there for you. Blankets, toiletries and kitchen supplies. They have a projector screen instead of a TV. Roku is hooked up so you can get the shows you want. It has enough room for a group stay. It was a very quiet area. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely Stay

We’ve been coming to this area for 26 years. We love the mountains and laid back atmosphere with the beauty of nature to balance us out before getting back to our hectic life. We Loved the cabin!

No Stress

We are so grateful for the the absolute peace we experienced at Brooke and Frantz's cabin. It is decorated and designed for comfort, convenience and FUN! After driving for 9 hours we were exhausted and full of stress. Just one night at the cabin and we were all refreshed and ready to explore! My granddaughter (13) slept in the loft and thought it was "super comfy and really cool". The beds were very comfortable as well as the pillows! We listened to albums, cooked on the wonderful gas stove and enjoyed attempting to play ping pong, lol. There was plenty of hot water, all three of us took consecutive showers! Our last night there the most wonderful owl perched and lulled us to sleep. Couldn't have asked for a better stay!

It’s amazing how much fun you can fit in there

Great little place that is loaded with fun in every corner. While small in sq feet it actually leaves you wondering if you missed something because it is so chock full. The location is peaceful, and the amenities perfect! The hosts were delightful, and very easy to communicate with. The pictures of this place don’t do it justice. It’s worth a visit

Well-stocked Cabin

Great, isolated place to get away from it all yet close to essential stores. The cabin is complete with everything you could ask for, from board games to an actual pool table and state of the art heating/cooling equipment for the whole cabin. Each room was meticulously set to provide the best guest experience. There was a slight misunderstanding but the owner went above and beyond to solve the issue and was very responsive throughout, which is a critical component to any stay. Looking forward to coming back in the future.

Cozy Cabin Vibes

Absolutely loved our stay in this cozy cute cabin! Nice quiet neighborhood not far from so many fun activities. The pool/ping pong table was a big hit for both the kids & adults, as was s’mores around the fire pit. I loved the decor, and especially appreciated the big windows to take in all the light & beautiful views of nature. Thank you again to the wonderful & attentive hosts!

Artsy cabin magic**

This is a beautiful place to have some fun with friends and family! Lots to do and see in the area and a wonderful pool/ping pong table available to entertain the kids at all times. We plan to visit again soon :)

Light sleepers beware

1. Water temp in master shower was 99. Warm but not hot. The bathroom has a heater fan thankfully, but if you like hot showers you are out of luck. 2. This house has a well water pump, located under or near the master bedroom. It Cycles about every 45 minutes, even during the night, with a droning buzzing sound that crescendos to the sound of a high pressure flushing / sucking noise that will wake you from a dead sleep. After the owner refused to take any actions , we left early and booked two Suites at the local marriott, for less than half the price of this place, where we slept wonderfully and took hot showers The rest of the house is cute, quaint, stylish, and a good use of the space. The owner did not take any actions to address the two issues above, so I was pretty disappointed. Not even a "sorry" or "let me get somebody out there. The noise isn't very noticeable to the rest of the sleeping area.

The Perfect escape

Lovely cabin with great design flourishes. Very comfortably slept 4 adults and 1 teen and had extra room. Brooke was immediately available and responsive to the questions we had. The location is just the perfect hideaway in beautiful Hurley.

Lovely cozy cabin.

Everything was just perfect. The location, the setup, the versatility of the space. I went with 4 friends, and everyone felt like they could be with the group or have their own space if they needed. There are endless beautiful hikes in the surrounding area, we loved Big Deep (the local swimming hole) and got a lot of exercise doing the Overlook Trail, and exploring the remains of the old Overlook Hotel. As for the cabin, the counter was excellent for cooking, kitchen was well-stocked, and we made some wonderful meals. Really enjoyed the fire-pit as well. All in all a beautiful experience.

Perfect Escape

We (a party of 7) thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The property is in vicinity of many mountain and town activities, but often our sons (ages 9 and 13) just wanted to stay at the cabin. It is set up with a mindful usage of space, and the deck was the perfect spot for morning coffee. Fantastic communication with the owners and helpful ideas for activities!

Fun Stay

We had a lovely time in this cabin, we were 4 adults and 4 kids and we had plenty of room. The kids loved the loft and the pool table. The adults loved the deck area and the board games that were available. The place is close to many activities and made a good base for our vacation. Would recommend!

Hidden Gem!

This cabin was a great find. So happy I booked it. Everything is basically brand new and the vibe is definitely cozy as soon you walk in the door. Enjoyed relaxing on the deck and by the fire-pit. Lots of activities to do surrounding towns of Woodstock and Kingston!

Friend trip in the Catskills

We had an amazing time at the house. It is a very efficient space and perfect for our trip for a friend weekend getaway. The home was super cute, clean , easy and had perfect amenities. We made a couple of meals at the house, roasted s'mores in the backyard, hung out, and used it to explore the Catskills. I would come back to this house again!

Great place and great location!

Wow what a great little place. Only about 15 min from Woodstock and plenty of nice scenery in-between. Really enjoyed the projector and pool table as well as the fire pit in the backyard!

Great stay, would love to go back!

This place was perfect for a weekend getaway. The pool table and ping pong table are a great addition and there are other games, puzzles, books, etc available at the place as well. The place was clean and had all the needed amenities to make for a perfect stay. The grill and firepit were also a great amenity to take advantage of. Hoping to return for another visit soon! Thanks to the hosts for a great weekend stay!

Cabin Getaway

Our family of 5 had a wonderful few days at Cabin 85. The cabin's design, location and amenities exceeded our expectations and offered us everything we were looking for in a quick escape from the city. Brooke was a great host with quick and easy communication. The location was great being a short drive from Woodstock, Kingston and many hiking trails and outdoor activities. The cabin was thoughtfully designed with multiple rooms and loft spaces and fully stocked with games, activities and pantry items. definitely recommended for anyone looking for a quick or extended getaway to enjoy upstate NY.
