Also known as Tall Timbers, this house was built in 1928, and has been in the family since the 1940s. With plenty of room for relaxing outside or inside, this house is perfect for family reunions, golf outings, or just home base for enjoying the many attractions in the Poconos. THIS IS THE PERFECT GETAWAY FOR A LARGE FAMILY or GROUP.

10% discount for weekly rates, 30% discount for monthly rates!

Please note that Skytop Amenities (such as pool areas, lake swimming, hiking trails) are not included with this rental. Skytop lodge public areas, food and beverage areas, golf are open to public for your paid use.

We absolutely loved our stay! Such a cute, old vintage home that was perfect for a group of our friends celebrating a wedding. Everyone had their own room which was great for us and there was tons of space to hang out as well. Thank you so much!

Skytop weekend

Our family had a wonderful long weekend at Tall Timbers, the house was a perfect place to stay and enjoy all that Skytop has to offer. The place was spotless, well stocked and had lots of room inside and out. Location is great, we enjoyed the scenic walk to the lodge and quick drive to ski/ice skate. The owner was very responsive and accommodating, we would love to stay again!

Great location in the Poconos

Great stay at David’s place for a weekend wedding at Skytop lodge. The house was extremely spacious and able to accommodate the entire extended family. Could not have asked for an easier location to have access to Skytop!

Fall Weekend

Our family of eight had a wonderful weekend. Home has plenty of beds and bathrooms. The yard is awesome for playing games or just relaxing under the trees. Investigated all that Skytop has to offer and hiked in Promised Land State Park.

Charming property

This lovely property offered everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable weekend. We were a family of 8 adults visiting for a wedding and it accommodated us very well. The home is well maintained and was very clean. The host was very responsive and very helpful in advance of our stay and offered an informative welcome booklet.

Great House!

My family and I had a great time staying at the house. It had plenty of bedrooms and enough space so our group could spread out. Dave was a great host! Available any time I called with any questions. The house is close to the indoor water parks and other attractions so there is always something to do. We will definitely stay again!

Idyllic Skytop Experience

We loved this home. It served as the lodging for my family and my now-fiancé’s family after a successful surprise engagement on one of the Skytop trails. The house was just the right size for about 10, with some room to spread out! We took advantage of the Skytop amenities and it made for the most unforgettable weekend. The entire process was seamless. Would love to come back one day soon!

Top notch and just as described

This wonderful house was perfect for our family group. It was right on the golf course but still very private. We have been coming to Skytop for almost 70 summers and having the whole 3rd through 5th generation overflowed the family home elsewhere at Skytop. The house was amazingly well equipped with things like plates, pans, and utensils.

Beautiful Skytop home

The house was right on the beautiful grounds of Sky Top. We had a family 3 generation family gathering and it was a perfect setting with great access to all the Skytop amenities including restaurants, golf, hotels, hiking. The house was well stocked with all the essentials. We enjoyed making our breakfast and lunch at the house and all eating together.

Updated and Family Friendly

Our family stayed at this property during the week between Christmas and New Years. We previously stayed at this property a few years ago and are so impressed with the recent upgrades. The home has plenty of space for a large family, and the furnishings and beds are very comfortable. David, the property owner was easy to reach and communication was excellent. The walk to Skytop Inn and its amenities is about 10 -15 minutes and is peaceful and scenic. Highly recommend.

Big, cozy, nice home

The house looked exactly how the pictures displayed big, cozy and had a lot of amenities on the grounds at skytop lodge. We enjoyed the restaurants, swimming pool, arcade, and everything else the lodge had to offer. The house, was clean, comfortable, rooms were a nice size, bathrooms for all guest, kitchen was fully stocked with all the things we needed to cook with etc. The owner was very nice, accommodating, responded quickly to all inquiries, friendly and was very open minded. I had no complaints and look forward to coming back again in the summer.

Perfect place for a family reunion

Our family has been coming to the Skytop area for 5 generations and David's place was the perfect home base for our annual reunion. The house had plenty of space for our large group. We enjoyed cooking meals in the kitchen (2 fridges and new appliances were a huge plus!), gathering in the spacious dining/living area, and relaxing/hanging out on the back patio with beautiful views. David was extremely helpful leading up to and during our stay. He provided the right amount of information and was very responsive whenever we had questions. Highly recommend this place. We plan on coming back again next year!

Beautiful Property

We had a great long weekend with three generations of our family in the house. It’s an older house for sure but well maintained. The property is absolutely stunning with a great yard and beautiful views. It’s a shame you can’t have access to more Skytop amenities but we did spend an afternoon on the Skytop grounds and got drinks at one of the bars on site. Strongly recommend a trip to Promised Land State Park only 10 minutes from the house. Mark was a gracious and responsive host. Would definitely return for another visit!

Much more than 5 stars!

Our large extended family was so thankful to find this beautiful old home with so much comfortable space, and character! We were back in Mountainhome for a memorial service for our mom, grammy, and great-grammy. Seven bedrooms, 5 baths, large fully furnished kitchen, big front porch and outdoor patio with comfy seating, plenty of parking, adjoining Skytop property with deer walking through the back yard...this was balm for our souls that brought joy to our family memories. Thank you, Dave, for providing this wonderful property!

Wonderful!

This charming old home was so much fun to stay at. The beds were extremely comfortable. It was immaculate. Everything we needed was provided. The property is located right near Skytop, and it’s incredibly beautiful. We were attending a wedding at Skytop, and this home had plenty of room for all of us. The host was so nice and very communicative. Loved sitting outdoors in the morning, there are lots of deer around and we enjoyed feeding them apple slices. Thank you, David, for sharing this treasure with us!

Wedding Weekend

11 of us had the opportunity of staying in this home for the weekend as we attended our friends wedding at Skytop! We enjoyed it immensely together and created many memories. The house was clean and spot on with an amazing itinerary included that was sent by Dave the owner before our stay which was accurate and organized. It made our stay comfortable and easy. We enjoyed the grounds, laughs by the fireplace, and the nearby beauty of Skytop. It is a bit hard to walk to as you need to walk through the golf course which some golfers weren’t thrilled about but we loved it and it would be hard to walk all dolled up if you are attending a dressy event. This house is indeed on the older side and is very antique like. I would recommend this space for a big group of people and would definitely stay again. In fact my friends and are in talks of potentially a New Years stay.
