Salvo Sea Lodge Is a beautiful and cozy 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath Beach House. Located sound side in the village of Salvo. Our home is a short walk to the beach and our subdivision offers access to the sound for launching your kayak or paddle board in the Pamlico sound. Enjoy sound views from two spacious decks which offer the perfect place to gather. Amazing shops, restaurants, and prime coastline for you to explore!

Overall great stay!

Beautiful home in perfect proximity to the beach and multiple local spots. We especially appreciated the fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, and outdoor shower. Owner was responsive and pleasant to work with. We would recommend to anyone looking for a family friendly getaway.

Family vacation

Everything was excellent! Would recommend this place over and over. Clean, easy check in and out process and in a quiet and relaxed area! Beach is a short walk to view some amazing sun rises.

Excellent rainy week in the OBX

Dylan, the host, was wonderful with communicating quickly. The house itself is so perfect for a family of 5. Couch is so comfy. Kitchen has everything it needs. Beds are comfy! Everything about this place is perfect. We will be back!

First trip to OBX

Enjoyed our weekend visiting the outer banks. The rental was comfy, cozy, and clean. Everything was great and loved that we saw a dear in the yard a few times.

While the property was a little further away from the beach than I thought it was going to be, it was still accessible by a short walk across the street and through a small neighborhood. The house was very nice; comfortable space for our family of six and clean. My grandkids loved their room with bunk beds and the surprise closet with games and DVDs. Our host, Dylan, was very nice and prompt to respond to my communications. The kitchen had several big pots for steaming/boiling seafood and two good frying pans for breakfast use. Also, dishwasher and washing machine detergent pods were available for our use, which was very thoughtful. While the master bath only had a very small shower, there was another bathroom with a shower tub as well as the kids room having its own toilet (which is great!). We really enjoyed the property

Family Vacation

We loved staying at this property. It was in a great location to walk to the beach. The home was clean, beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable and perfect for our family of 4. We loved the variety of games and DVDs for us to watch. My daughter loved the outdoor shower, and it was a great way to wash off all of the sand we collected on our trips to the beach. I greatly appreciated how quickly the owner communicated with us on our trip. We were arriving during a tropical storm and he helped us navigate our way to the house and around the OBX. It was greatly appreciated since it was our first experience in the OBX. We loved our stay in Salvo and in this home.

Outer Banks Girls Trip

This beach cottage was the perfect get away for our girls weekend with my sister, mom and daughter. The home was very clean and decorated in a cute beach theme. It was away from the hustle and bustle of the Northern part but close enough to enjoy a day trip. Walking or driving to the beach on the ocean and sound side were nice and close. Washing sand off from the beaches was no problem with the outdoor shower. Finding things to do and where to eat were easy because there were plenty of suggestions left in a neatly organized binder for guests. We really enjoyed our stay in this nice, quiet part of the Outer Banks and had fun exploring the surrounding areas both North and South of the rental. Thank you Dylan for being a great host and getting back to me promptly. We highly recommend this property and hope future guests have just as much of a fun and relaxing trip as we did.

perfect updated older beach house

The house and location were perfect for our family. Plenty of parking with shade under the trees and a giant shaded area to put a boat or cars under the deck. The house is "small" by beach McMansion standards, but there was plenty of room for 3 adults and 3 children and we always felt there was enough space. 2.5 baths. Kids room had a 1/2 bath which is kind of rare and great. 2 bedrooms are normal bedroom size and the 3rd kids room with bunk beds is a little smaller but our kids didn't mind and loved having their own space. Tons of board games and DVDs (I felt like I was at Blockbuster in the late 90s) in the closet. Outdoor shower is spacious and nice. 2 deck areas to hang out on. The beach is about 5 minutes walk east to a community walkway on Dory Dr. There is also a bay access which is an even shorter walk west but was not super accessible. Most of the time, we just jumped in the truck and either went to the Salvo Day Use Area (bay) or one of the beach access lots on the east side of the road. The kitchen had everything we needed. Awesome giant L shaped couch with with electric reclining and charging stations built in. Beds were comfortable. A/C kept us comfortable the whole time. We definitely will come again next time we are coming to OBX. Thank you guys for opening your home to us.

Great experience, no issues at all

The property is in a good location, minutes away from the beach, Dollar General, an Ice Cream place (can't think of the name), and super close to Alex's Shrimp Shack. It is also a few minutes away (by car) from the Cape Hatteras National Seashore, a great location if you have little kids. Now let's talk about the house, it is great! My husband thought he was renting two-stories, but he didn't read the description. You get one floor, and it is upstairs which means that there are steps to climb. You get three bedrooms, 3 baths, a kitchen and living room (open space), and a nice back deck. There are plenty of windows, no need to turn the lights on during the daytime. Outdoor shower with hot and cold water, perfect when you have kiddos. The house is fully equipped, there are plenty of pots, tableware, and most cooking utensils needed. Each room had two packs of clean towels, they smelled clean, not like the hotel towels. The house is great. very comfortable. I would also like to say that the owner is amazing, he went above and beyond and answered all messages promptly. He even sent new Rokus since the pin to the ones installed was not available, he didn't have to do that, but he did, and my kids were extremely happy. Thank you!
