Excellent Getaway

Very much enjoyed our summer vacation getaway at Keystone. Property was super quiet, check in was smooth, and access to walking/hiking trails was convenient. What make the difference, though, was the communication from the property management before and during the stay. It made the entire process so straightforward and we really appreciated that! Would stay here again.

Pierce review

Great location to resort and ski area. Parking area was very convenient and helpful as well. The loft at1430 was very clean and comfortable. The only negative would be the bedroom upstairs with no bathroom, which makes getting ready or using the bathroom a little difficult. But overall, it was a great experience and appreciate the stay!

Not good for summer

I’m sure this space is fine in the winter but the lack of air conditioning and a loft bedroom made for a miserable stay. Also the full bath being on the first floor and the bedroom on the second was odd and somewhat inconvenient.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I apologize that your stay was not more inviting. I and Summit Count Mountain Retreats work hard to deliver a truly special place. This is my home for a number of months during the year, so I want everything to be pristine. It is difficult to immediately address every issue after a guest leaves the unit in the morning and a new guest arrives in the afternoon. You arrived in late June and some things needed repair. The guests 2 and 3 weeks prior gave excellent reviews. Somehow, in the week between when they left and you arrived, problems cropped up. I came out after you left and confirmed some things needed mending (e.g. towel bar, window blind, baseboard). I assure you every item has been addressed and again apologize that your experience wasn’t 5 stars.

A quick trip to Keystone

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Such a wonderful place to stay for my conference. Extremely communicative, clear and accommodating hosts. Great location, loved taking river walks and exploring the plaza. Gorgeous spot and very comfortable. Also clean! My only complaint is that it does seem to get very hot throughout the day. Opening the windows helped a bunch but a big fan in the common space would be nice. I could see it getting super hot in there peak summer time. Maybe there was an AC unit but I didn't see one. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my time.

Just okay in the warmer months

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very unhappy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall the unit was updated, comfortable and clean. However, there is no air conditioning and for some weird reason the owners have screwed shut ALL the windows on the main level! The two windows in the upstairs bedroom open, but they are right on the easily accessible rooftop. As a woman staying there alone, you would never want to sleep with the windows open! And even if you were there with other people, you could never leave the windows open because someone could so easily break in. Why the owners would do make the main floor windows inoperable is really unexplainable.

Unfortunately, air conditioning is rare here in Summit County, but we are sorry to hear about the inconveniences caused by the windows! We will look into this and appreciate your honest feedback.

Wouldn’t recommend

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I was shocked to find this modern place did not have A/C and I arrived to find the heat on 70. In July - it was muggy and hot and I didn’t sleep well because of this. They supplied fans , one didn’t work. Who wants to sleep with a fan in your face? You had to go to some place a mile down the road to get your key and also respond with email and signed rental agreement in addition to booking it with air bnb , the whole thing was annoying.
VrboOwner a répondu le 20 août 2024
The majority of properties in Summit County unfortunately do not have AC, so we do provide fans to help with this. I'm sorry to hear that one of them did not work properly! We have additional fans that can be delivered if we are made aware of the issue. The property requires a keycard for entry, so this does need to be picked up from our office. We try to make this process as easy as possible and are sorry to hear that you found it inconvenient. We appreciate your feedback and hope that you enjoyed your time in Keystone!

Great Location and Amazing Views

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit was absolutely beautiful and had some beautiful views, it was easy to locate and the reserved parking was heated and inside a huge shared garage which was a nice surprise. Another surprise that was not so nice was how extremely hot it was in the unit when we arrived at midnight. the unit was 84 degrees down stairs and 90 degrees upstairs where the bedroom is. There was one box fan upstairs, this definitely saved us as there is no way we would have been able to sleep with just the (useless ceiling fan. ALL the heaters were dialed to 80 degrees when we arrived and opening the windows downstairs when you are sweating proved to be difficult and there was no instructions, pro tip you open then from the other end of where you unlock and where most other windows will open, if the window only opens a crack it's the wrong side. I did email the management company and was responded to with a smart *** remark saying "This unit does not have an AC unit, hence why the temperature does not change when the thermostat is." That was a direct sentence that doesn't even make sense, but I guess Maria was trying to make me feel dumb with her hence. I was also told by her that there were fans in every room and there was not. I let them know that and no additional fans were ever dropped off nor did anyone from the management company come to the unit to check on things.
VrboOwner a répondu le 24 sept. 2024
We always want our guests to be comfortable for their entire stay and are sorry to hear that you experienced inconveniences with the temperature upon arrival. Our guests are very important to us, and we sincerely apologize for any miscommunication in our emails. We also asked if you needed assistance with the heat and offered to send our maintenance team, but we did not hear back or know that there were not enough fans in the property until after your departure. We wish we had known that you were still experiencing issues during your stay so that we could have made this right and had the opportunity to provide you with a better stay. We're happy to see that you enjoyed the views and parking at the property and truly appreciate your feedback. We will review this with our team to ensure we improve moving forward.

About You
This property is professionally managed for the owner by Summit County Mountain Retreats. We are guest oriented, and we offer the following when you rent with us: hassle-free check-in and keycard pick-up, a generous supply of towels and an initial supply of consumables for your stay. We are also in the resort and have the longest business hours of any management company.

VACATION RENTALS VS. HOTELS
Booking a vacation rental is like staying at the house of a friend. In this vacation rental you will experience significantly more space, privacy, or comforts that feel like home, including a kitchen and a location that is beyond what most hotels can offer. All this at a significantly lower cost than a hotel with comparable features. These benefits bring different considerations than a hotel. More privacy means that most guests do not want daily housekeeping. We offer a check-out clean and, for an added fee, mid-stay cleans. We also offer a starter supply of some consumables, including coffee, paper towels, toilet paper and more, but these items are not restocked during a stay. A kitchen allows you to make home-cooked meals. Guests will likely visit the store to purchase groceries. Self-sufficiency is key to a happy stay in a vacation rental. We do provide housekeeping and 24/7 maintenance, but this is primarily for properties in between stays. Our staff services vacation rentals across several square miles, unlike a hotel that manages a single building. We have to strike a balance between cost and service, and have found that our current system has struck this balance. Our hope is that our guests understand the difference between booking a hotel and a vacation rental. Together we can provide affordable vacation rentals and happy stays for everyone!
