Island Park Cottage- 2 bedroom home on the Lake

Island Park Cottage is a large and private property with a cozy open concept 2-bedroom home located on the lake in Gun Barrel City. Perfect for a family getaway or a small group of friends, you will have direct access from the backyard to the lake for less than most other waterfront homes on the lake. Only an hour away Dallas, Cedar Creek Lake combined with Island Park Cottage is the perfect destination for those looking to escape the city life for a few days.
Located in a quiet neighborhood in Gun Barrel City, you can take a walk or ride a bike through the neighborhood. You have access to the Walmart and Brookshires Grocery store within a few minutes' drive. Visit the multiple local restaurants or choose to eat at home on the water.
Inside of home:
Open concept living room/kitchen
Living room has sofa, leather side chair, tv with Hulu, Netflix and Disney Plus. Fireplace has electric heater insert.
Kitchen contains: refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, microwave, blender, food processor, toaster, instant pot, pots and pans, dishes, silverware, cooking spices.
1st Bedroom: Queen bed with bedding and pillows.
2nd Bedroom: Full bed, twin bed and pull out twin bed, bedding, pillows, tv with Old School video games.
Bathroom: Stand up shower basic toiletries.
Sunroom: sofa with queen sleeper, washer/dryer, full length wrap-around drapery for privacy.
Wifi is provided, but at the lake anything can happen and sometimes the internet goes down. This unfortunately is not something we can control and most properties are subjected to this. Please keep this in mind if internet is a requirement for you stay.


On the Outside:
The lake levels can vary throughout the year, please ask about current lake levels if your visit will include plans to get out on the lake. ****The lake is currently low, please take this into consideration if getting on the lake is part of your plans.

Raised deck from the back door with outdoor seating including a couch and a bar/table for eating.
The grill is located right off deck.
with overhead string lights to help see across the expansive backyard.
A paddleboard and kayak as well as life vests are provided (You may want to bring your own to assure proper fit).
Fish directly from our lower dock,
Stairway with rails to help you get in and out of the water.
Three beach cruisers and a jr. bike.
Dock to tie off boat for day use. We do not recommend leaving your boat in overnight as there is not a boat lift and can be damaged if the water gets rough. Tying up to the dock is done at the guest's risk. We take no responsibility for any damage that could occur to your boat. Local boat ramp is less than 5 minutes away.
Upper deck above dock is now open. Enjoy the beautiful sunset views of the lake!
