Family Condo with Queen Beds & Ocean Views from 3 Lanais!

Centrally-located and recently renovated 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo minutes from the airport and walking distance to restaurants and bars. With two queen beds and two twin cots your whole family will enjoy watching cruise ships from any of the three lanais. Grab the provided beach chairs and walk over to Kalapaki Beach for some warm sun or hop in the car and head out for an adventure. Located in Lihue, any part of beautiful Kauai is no more than an easy day trip!

UPDATED FOR 2023 - We're excited to share that we've completely remodeled the primary bathroom in 2023. New tile on floors and walls, new vanity, and a new shower make this space much more inviting. We've also upgraded to a modern Air Conditioning system. Air Conditioning is now in both bedrooms and the living room, which allows you to cool and dehumidify the condo. The old window A/C units photographed have been removed.

Great location and perfect for a group of friends! We visited during peak summer so I’m very grateful for the strong, working A/C units! They’ve really thought of everything from providing beach chairs and towels to laundry pods for the in-unit washer and dryer. Couldn’t have asked for a better host and housing!

Great spot for the whole family

We had a great stay with our 6 and almost 2 year old! The place was super conveniently located to the beach and local shops and was a very comfortable place to stay. They provided everything we needed, including kid safe dining ware and toys. Made our time away from home as easy as possible :)

Great place to stay!

This property is clean, comfortable and has a great location. My kids loved the pool, which was a very short walk and never crowded. There are many tasty places to eat within walking distance. The condo is well equipped for cooking, and has lots of great beach items (chairs, grass mat, boards, etc.) to borrow. We would definitely stay here again!

A place to Sleep in Kauai.

Our stay was Awesome! Nice place the 4 of use were very comfortable in this living place. It was nice to be able to cook and do laundry. Great location, easy to get around from this location. Can’t wait to go back and would definitely stay here again.

They really took time to decorate the whole space really cute. Was just a short walk to the beach and pool on-site. It was definitely an older building with a great pool that really needs an update. We did know about this before coming so we took advantage of the pool at our other location. Great stay!

This is a cute little place in Lihue. It’s close to the airport and was recently renovated. It was well stocked and very clean. We checked in with the front desk, the parking lot (like most in Kauai) was a little narrow, but we were able to navigate it ok in our rental van.

Condo Perfection!

If you want to feel like you’re staying at your bestie’s condo with everything you need for your stay in Kauai, this is your place! It is clean, well equipped, and in a great location. Our teenagers loved that they could walk over to the ABC Store or to Kalapaki Beach beach. I would for sure recommend this wonderful condo! Aloha.

Modern Convenience & Comfort

Looking for a modernly decorated place conveniently located and very comfortable? This is it! Near Lihue airport and centrally licated to all common activities, restaurants, etc. It was filled with many amenities including excellent coffee, cooler bag, sunscreen, boogie boards, beach umbrellas and so much more. I will definitely book again next time I am in Kauai!

Turtle Condo

Wonderful condo. So many thoughtful amenities. Great care taken in ensuring good internet connection and electronic conveniences. Loved the open design, well appointed kitchen with everything one might want. Comfy beds, great towels, beach chairs, games, all clean and fresh. We loved the fact you could walk to many restaurants, stores and, of course, the beautiful beach. We would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone…families, couples, retired folks and single people just wanting a quiet and restful vacation.

Perfecto accommodation!

My friends and I (5 of us) had the most perfect stay here at The Happy Turtle. Check in was easy, parking provided and Keith and Sara had stocked this apartment with pretty much everything you could ever need from a clothes steamer to even sunscreen. The location was very convenient as everything was close by. Plenty of electrical outlets and usb charging ports. The two bed two bath was very generous for us and tvs in all the rooms. I cannot fault this accommodation except I only wished we had curtains in the living room for privacy but that’s about it :)

Perfect location

We have stayed at Banyon Harbor three times now and this is by far the nicest condo we have stayed in. Very clean and fully stocked with towels, boogie boards and beach chairs which helped us out a lot. Great pool with an amazing view. You can’t beat the location. Walking distance to a fantastic beach that isn’t super busy and plenty of food and shops everywhere. It seems to be very safe and we always feel comfortable letting our teens/young adults go wander around on their own as well. We like to explore the island so this is a great middle spot to save on driving time to reach our day trip destinations. Thanks for having us!

Excellent Family Getaway

This beautiful VRBO is clean, excellently styled and has a good family layout. There are two bathrooms - on that is an en-suite, and the other that is a stand-alone so if someone is waking up early or going to be late, no one is disturbed. We stayed at The Happy Turtle with our 3 children. Their favourite was the pool! The pool was a comfortable temperature (slightly heated) which is a must even in Hawaii. Taking care of recycling and garbage was also really easy as it was just a short walk from the front door. My family enjoyed two of the lanai's on a regular basis as well. You would be lucky to get this place if it isn't booked! It really is a find. We have stayed in several places in Kauai and this one was one of my favourites for a 1/3 the price. There is also a desk for work if you need it. Welcome to Kauai!

2 miles to the airport

We chose this for our last night, because of proximity to the airport because we had an early flight out! Perfect for that! However with 5 adults it was smaller than we assumed by the pictures online. We only stayed one night so it didn’t matter. We walked to Dukes for dinner which was a nice place on the beach, which is also super close! My only complaint is the late check-in. We checked in right at 4, & the cleaning lady was still in the unit, saying floor had not been mopped yet! Crazy when check out is at 10. Expected it to be clean after 6 hours of it being vacant!!

A month on Kauai

We had an awesome time at the Happy Turtle. We were there for a whole month and had family and friends come to visit while we were there. We asked them all to help with this review. Some of the points they made were: -pool was super nice - best view! -condo was lovely, and very well equipped -they provided above and beyond what we needed - games, beach chairs, lots of towels, they even got us a muffin tin and muffin mix! -even children's toys were included -great location close to the beach (in fact, a 5 min walk to one of the nicest beaches we encountered while on Kauai), stores and walking trails -white noise machines were greatly appreciated -fast communication and prompt service by Keith and Sara Thank you! We had a great vacation! Only things that could make this place better: -bigger couch would be nicer for more comfy seating -cotton sheets would be nicer for that climate -it is a busier location with some traffic. It didn't bother us, but someone who is sensitive to that might find it bothersome. The traffic is strongly outweighed by the awesome location.

Clean and convenient condo

Beautiful and very clean two room condo with balconies and ocean views. Air conditioning helps keep the humidity down and the condo cool. Whole set up for grinding and brewing fresh coffee with easy to follow instructions. Great communication with owners snd what expectations are. We wish we could have stayed on the island longer. Many great restaurants within walking distance.

Relaxing stay with thoughtful hosts

We had a great time here during our short two night stay! The hosts provided an extensive thoughtful guide with local recommendations and left such helpful amenities such as a portable cooler! The space was clean, modern and comfortable. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient and cozy stay.
