The unit and amenities were good and most things were as described. The only downfall was the one bedroom wall didn’t go all the way to the ceiling so more of a loft space and it was a little noisy than a fully enclosed space. There was also limited space to hang towels to dry so we used the dryer to do that. Overall we really enjoyed our time here!

Banyan Harbor
First let me say it is a great location. Convenient for the Island and airport. Having 2 bedrooms and baths is a great thing. Washer and dryer is a great thing. Kitchen is well furnished and furniture is comfortable to rest after a long day of fun. With 3 AC’s the property cools off quickly so turn them off while you’re out exploring. This is a great place and value.

Great for what we needed
This property was as listed. Location was perfect for walking to the beach or popping over to Costco/Target and fairly centrally located for driving to the sites we wanted to see. Condo was comfortable and felt safe and was just what we needed to be able to cook some meals and sleep- nothing too fancy but well priced and a bit of a view of the ocean made for a nice stay.
Host was very communicative and responded quickly.

I absolutely love staying here! You are at the perfect spot if you plan on exploring the whole island during your stay. YOu are directly across the street from a fantastic beach and excellent restaurants. The pool and BBQ area are great and this unit is close to extra parking. The unit is clean, well-stocked with supplies and has a spacious layout. We will definitely stay here again.

This was a great spot for wanting to get around the whole island within a week. Location was very nice. Stay here for the location, friendliness, affordability. It’s not a fancy resort-which we liked and didn’t want to pay for. It doesn’t have a great view but so close to amazing views.

Perfect location and convenience
We travelled to Kaua ´i for the unending beaches and hikes with our family of five and stayed two weeks at Banyan Harbour. We appreciated the unit ´s central location on the island; walking distance to a nice beach, very close to groceries and shopping and halfway between the west coast and the north shore.
The unit is a little dated but offered everything our family needed. Washer and dryer were a plus following mud themed hikes. The surroundings are very quiet. There is a nice pool with views on the premises.
Overall we recommend mainly for location, and calmness of the surroundings.

The rental was exactly as expected. It was clean and well set up to cook our own meals. The “laundry starter kit” with the pods were such a nice touch. Plenty of towels, for bathing and beach. 3 balconies was so nice too!! I would definitely go back again.

Faucet in half bath doesn’t turn off completely had to keep adjusting right to completely stop water from dripping on or not at all. The toilet not flushing well. Sometimes had to flush twice. Washer looked and smelled moldy

Nice location. Could benefit from some upgrades.
Location and grounds of this property was great. However, while the AC worked, the wimdow units were extremely noisy, and their displays lit up bedrooms like night lights.
While the location was great for access to many locations and attractions, it tends to be noisy from cruise ships and traffic. In addition, many guests on the property diid not pay attention to "quiet time" or smoking areas for that matter.
Check-in was easy and everyone was friendly. The list of restaurants and complimemtary toiletries were a great addition. The concierge, though not used by me, was an added bonus for travels that may not know much about the island.

Great Location Horrible Accommodation
The location was very central and convenient. However, the accommodations were less than what was portrayed in the advertisement. The washing machine was disgusting, there are no other words. It had the most foul odor. The air conditioner unit cycle on and off all during the night, making it difficult to sleep. they are small window units. The bathroom was dirty upon our arrival. The bathroom door would not close completely because the washing machine stuck out too far. The dryer takes three cycles to dry a small load of clothes. The kitchen was good. The entire unit could stand an update.

Wonderful experience with first time renting a condo! The facility was well stocked, comfortable, and close to everything! We had a couple of issues with the A/C and living room fan, contacted the property mgt company and they sent Phillip. He was speedy, super polite, and very professional in fixing the issues. WOW!!!My only complaint was the parking - not much parking - no turn-a-rounds available and it was difficult to maneuver with a larger sized SUV. Other than that - I would definitely recommend this property while in Kauai!

We arrived for a conference nearby, four women doctors, used to travel and it’s vagaries. The place was clean, although one stove burner was unplugged. Our major complaint was that the cruise ships come in quite nearby and loud partying was heard until 2-3 am, very hard to sleep. Then there were late night parties in the parking lot, also undampened until waaay after midnight. The guard quoted them down after we complained more than once. Not the place for a honeymoon. On the positive side the employees were wonderful and helpful and there was beach equipment left for us including an umbrella.

The #1 advantage of this property is the location in Lihue. Across the street from Kalapaki Beach. Close to stores and airport. Easy to venture to the North side and South/West Side of the Kauai. A couple negatives. The AC was very loud in the 2nd bedroom on 2nd floor. The location of this AC was above the front door and it was dripping water when on and going in and out of the front door was tricky as you were getting dripped on and the floor was slippery. You could easier fall due to all the water. This was a concern with our 86 yo Mother. The kitchen cabinets were very sticky and needs to have a deep clean. Another guest had mentioned it and I definitely understand why. I hated opening the cabinets because it was so dirty/grimey. The countertops were granite and very nice so its odd the cabinets were not updated when the countertops were done. The shower was wonderful. Good pressure.Size of unit was perfect for the 4 of us. I would stay at Banyon Harbor but not sure if I would choose this unit only because of the cleanliness issue in the Kitchen. Loved dealing with the Sarah in the office of Garden Island Properties. She was very helpful during the reservation process. I would use your vacation rental service again.

This was our first visit to Hawaii. We travelled for a tournament at Kalapaki beach. The location was perfect for this event. Short walk across the street - and we were there! Kanani and the Banyon Harbour team were very accommodating. They adjusted our stay at the last minute to allow part of our group to arrive a day early. The condo occupancy is listed as 5 people, but we had 6 (3 couples) and they allowed it with no issues (there was an additional cleaning fee - which we felt was reasonable).Kauai is less touristy than some of the other islands (for example: a lot of businesses close around 3:00). This was an important factor in my rating. Kauai, to me, felt about as authentic Hawaiian as a mainlander can get. Almost like travelling to a foreign country.With that in mind - the beds were comfortable even the pullout sofa bed was more comfortable than just about every other one I've slept on. The shower was fine. Water pressure was good. I've seen reviews complain about running out of hot water, but we didn't personally experience that. The kitchen had all the necessary amenities and utensils.Cooling uses window units - which we only used at night. During the daytime we were mostly out exploring or playing, so we used the screen doors. The breeze kept us very comfortable.We didn't watch much if any TV so I really can't comment much on that.In summary, if you are looking to stay in a modern condo with all the latest amenities and fashionable furnishings there are several high end resorts that looked great. But if you are looking for a clean, comfortable, centrally located, accommodation at a reasonable price, then this is it!

Clean, family friendly but...
This property was good for our first trip to Kauai. The living situation was ideal for our family; 2 adults and 1 child (8 yo), 2 separate bedrooms, 1.5 baths, a kitchen, and a washer/dryer. The price was also within our budget. We didn't really take advantage of the pool because we were always out and about experiencing what Kauai had to offer.
There are two drawbacks to where we stayed: our condo was situated towards the entrance so it was very close to the main road and in the evening, it was very noisy when you had your master bedroom sliding door open. Keep in mind, roosters run rampid on the island so they'll crow at dawn! Unless you sleep with your door closed, it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Secondly, the designated smoking area was also close to where we stayed. The smoke will travel and you can smell it even if your doors are closed.
We will consider staying again, however, we'll request to be further away from the entrance and smoking areas.
