OUR HOME:
Come swim, fish, dock your boat and relax in this newly updated cozy home that sleeps eight people. There are plenty of home amenities provided, including fishing poles and beach towels, but in case you need to purchase extra there is a mini grocery at the end of our street.
If you want to relax indoors, Netflix and Amazon Prime is available along with games, puzzles and dress up items.


IN THE AREA:
At the end of our street is the local favorite restaurant, Mary’s Kountry Kitchen.
The house is located on a canal that is a short 15 minute ride into Lake Dora or a 10 minute drive. Dock your boat and walk right into Mount Dora where there are plenty of restaurants to eat at , weekly events such as a farmers market, art galeries and shopping. It connects to 5 large lakes that have amazing restaurants on the water and live music on the weekends.

Tavares pool house!

We love staying at this beautiful home! This was our second stay and it was wonderful, we enjoy the pool, the view of the canal, all the sounds of the wildlife and the overall comfort of this space! Im sure we will be back!

Great Stay!

We needed a place to recover when we weren't melting faces at Bikefest in Leesburg. This beautiful house was probably very peaceful before we came and again now that we're gone. The heated pool was nice to relax in after a long day of entertaining the masses and that beautiful kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook up a few meals to share with our groupies (wives) or whatever. Would highly recommend and will seek this place out if we return to rock out next year!!

We had a wonderful time! The home was so welcoming and beautifully decorated. Everything was so comfortable and homey. Fishing was great right off the dock! Wonderful towns surrounding the home with a central location to parks and beaches! Would absolutely recommend and return!

One of the cleanest houses we've ever stayed in! She was very prompt in answering questions we had upon arrival. Great location & had everything you needed in the kitchen to cook! TONS of games for us to play, which was great because we played games nightly. I'd stay here again!

Fisherman's Paradise

Loved the house, plenty of parking for the bass boats, great location to take off from the dock to fish Harris chain of lakes. Great amenities for our stay. Plenty of pans & supplies, and a good working grill to cook on the nights we choose to stay in. Hope to be able to rent this place again for our next fishing/vacation trip. p.s. Pool was nice & warm too

Quiet, clean property.

The property was very clean and had the needed amenities. The family enjoyed fishing off the pier. If the weather was warm enough, we would have enjoyed the pool. The property provided fishing poles and swim toys. The neighborhood was quiet and close to a general store and grocery store.

Lovely Home

We stayed 6 nights and really enjoyed this home. This home has the perfect size pool for your little ones and a lovely dock to fish and drink coffee while watching the sun rise! (I especially appreciated the extra door locks on the back doors that are out of reach of small children!) Kitchen was well equipped and we loved the living room area! During our stay, we enjoyed renting a boat and exploring the lakes and being able to stop by the house whenever needed because of the dock at the house. This home is 50 minutes from Orlando in a quiet neighborhood. The homes in the neighborhood are not the most manicured/polished but don’t let that scare you away from enjoying this home!

It was perfect!!

We absolutely loved this house!! Ours kids loved to fish from the dock. They loved the pool too. It was to cold for us adults lol. Rebecca was great to work with. We had a couple of hiccups with the code for the door. But I just sent her a message and she got it taken care of. We will definitely book with her again in the future.

Cozy and comfortable

There are so many things to say about how great this rental was for our long weekend away. First, we rent houses a lot and this was by far the best decorated and most comfortable house we’ve ever stayed in. I loved all the detail like the wall mural upstairs in our daughter’s room, the butcher block counters, and cute pull handles on the kitchen cabinets. We did not have the best weather so the fireplace kept us very cozy. We brought our boat and were able to cruise the canals around the house. My husband loved the dock in the backyard. There is a boat ramp super close. The lakes were a little too windy and cold this particular weekend but we still had a blast. We tried to book again in March but the house is completed booked. We will be back.

Destination Wedding/Family Getaway

My family of five came to Tavares, Florida to attend a wedding. We decided to extend our stay and in doing so, looked into a home rental versus staying at a hotel. I stumbled on this delightful home which fit all of our needs for space, comfort, and location close to the wedding venue and our friends home. This home was comfortable and well appointed. The kitchen and bathrooms were fully stocked with everything we needed. During our stay, we had the opportunity to fish off the dock and relax in the pool area. We also took a short ride into Mount Dora one evening for a delightful dinner. Check in/check out was seamless and owner was quick to respond to any questions I had about the accommodations. The only problem was with the comfort of the sofa bed, but we were able to address it by using the air mattress instead. I would highly recommend this home and would not hesitate to return.

Sweet surprise!

My friends and I went to Mount Dora to celebrate a birthday. This lovely house was sweet; so tastefully decorated and homey! We would have been happy to stay at the property all day because it was so comfortable…everything needed was there and the beds were clean and super comfy. The Dollar General at the end of the street came in handy for a couple of forgotten items. Oh, and Mary’s Country Kitchen next door to that had really good food too! We were very satisfied and would rent this surprise gem again. Thank you, Rebecca 😊

Tasteful and peaceful.

This property was just beautiful. The pics don't do it justice. Becky was wonderful to work with. My husband and I hosted my precious mama's remaining little brother and little sister here who hadn't seen each other in over five years. We had a great time. At Becky's recommendation, we ate at Mary's restaurant down the street..the food and service was outstanding. We ate at Cody's on 4th in Mt Dora (great food), did some shopping in this adorable little town too. We took a canal/lake tour with Rusty Boat Tours...loved it! It was a blessing to make memories with my family in Becky's charming lake house. As someone who is passionate about interior design and decorating, I so appreciated all of the little details Becky poured into this home; she's got a great eye. If we get to Tavares again, we will definitely book this sweet home. Thanks for the memories, Becky! Best, Ray and Steph fr Chicagoland
