Charming Guest House in Mountain View

Newly remodeled home on a two acre property will provide you a real taste of big island living. Peaceful and relaxing environment. Fresh mountain air. Magnificent native foliage. Comfortable cool climate.

Explore the island by kayaking in Hilo Bay. Complimentary rental of two ocean kayaks for the guests listed in the booking.

The property is located between Hilo town (30 min drive) and the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park (25 min drive), convenient to explore the windward side of the island.

Our duplex home consists of three bedroom main house and one bedroom/guest house. Both units are currently being rented out. The units are separated by laundry room and carport - the shared space with other guests.

The one-bedroom guest house (left side of the duplex) is bright with lots of natural sun light and breezy trade winds. Two private entrances, a wrap-around lanai and a large private front and back porches where you can enjoy your morning cup of coffee or evening cocktail drinks.

The bedroom has a comfortable king size bed and a full bed with 100% cotton sheets. A full size pull-out sofa in the living room sleeps additional two guests.
The kitchen is equipped with a full size refrigerator, hot plate, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, air fryer, and other essentials for cooking. The bathrooms are furnished with clean towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner and hair dryer.

Our water comes from the rain water catchment system, very common for this island. It is filtered by UV light system, but it may not be best for drinking. You may want to bring your own bottled water.
The laundry room and carport are common area to be shared with other guests staying in the three bedroom main house.
The gate lock code and other check in instructions will be provided a day before your arrival.

House was good, Instructions were clear. You will feel close to nature surrounded by crickets and frogs sound at night. Only 30 mins away from National volcanic park. We got to see live volcano eruption which was highlight of our trip. Equipment's were all in good condition. Carry any necessary items with you, since location is remote.

Wonderful stay near Volcano National Park

Clean, gorgeous house surrounded by nature, just 30 min drive from Volcano National Park. Wonderful stay: sunrise, stargazing, nature, birds. We loved our stay here! Our kids enjoyed it too!! Thanks !!

This place is in an excellent location for our purpose of exploring the east side of big island, we like sightseeing here and there, not hours sitting on a beach. the vocano park only took us half a day to explore, glad we didnt stay by the park. Natasha's place is super comfortable and clean. I slept better here than at home, the nightly chorus of frogs and bugs is heavenly to my ears, it didnt affect my sleep at all even though it can be loud.

Very unique home nestled in the rain forest added to our enjoyment of an authentic Hilo experience. You feel like you’re staying in the middle of the jungle with the sounds of wildlife all around you. As other reviews have said, the sound of frogs and other animals at night can be very loud. We didn’t mind it at all but if you’re a light sleeper you might want to bring ear plugs or a sound machine. The location was halfway between the National Park and Hilo (about 20 to 30 minutes to either) and was perfect for multiple trips to the National Park. We were fortunate to watch the volcano erupt during our night visit to the park which was unforgettable!

It was great location for us to travel to volcano and Hilo. I BR with 2 beds (King and Queen) was perfect. The refrigerator and freezer wasn't working when we arrived but owner's husband arrived soon after and fixed and cleaned it up too. Thank you! Screen in front window had a hole so we just stuffed a paper towel in it until that can be repaired. It would be nice if screens were in all windows as there is no ac. Oscillating fan was good. Nice place to stay.

Great family stay with grandkids

Remote quiet house with all the necessities. Clean, modern and simple We took the grandkids for a fun week on the big island. The little ones loved room to roam and explore. Nights were very quiet and restful. The beach chairs and gear were well appreciated. The kichen had everything we needed. We would look forward to staying again. Easy 5 stars

Lovely stay

When we arrived the instructions were very clear and if we had a question they responded really quickly! I came with 4 friends and everything was clean, there was some chocolates on the table and it was really welcoming :) Also the house is fully equiped with towels, hygene things and the kitchen has a lot of things included such as rice cooker or minioven. The location is perfect, as is a quiet place and not far from anything!!! (just the birds at night that make the noise hahah)

Tranquility!!

Communication with Natasha was easy and she and her husband Yaro were very accommodating when we requested to check in early. Yaro was was super nice checking us in person and showing us around d the guest house and giving us plenty of recommendations on what to do/ see. The place was immaculately clean, comfy and just like in the pictures. It was so serene to sleep to the sounds of the rainforest. I'd love to stay here again! Mahalo Sherin

Lovely

The house was perfect for us. After long traveling days, our kids were able to enjoy running around outside. The host had everything we needed. It was clean and the decor was pretty. We’re not big plastic water bottle people and the host had a Brita water filter which was great. It’s a short drive to VNP. I can’t say enough good things. We would stay here again. One of my girls left a necklace, unbeknownst to me, and the host messaged me to ask me if I’d like her to mail it to us.
