It was a very old house a lot of the utilities were very fragile laundry room located under house, but all in all we had a great stay it was in a quiet neighborhood and very relaxing setting for a house. I would recommend this vacation home

Great stay!

Central location to all of the places we wanted to experience; very spacious and included all the items we needed to use for our short stay. We also appreciate the early check -in which made our schedule on Day 1 perfect!

House is clean but it is an older home. The home has beach chairs, snorkle gear and a cooler which makes it nice to explore and have beach days. There were lots of games with two TVs in the home for entertainment on vacation. The home is an interesting layout with the laundry room under the kitchen. You have to go outside down the stairs and go under the house. The home does not have air conditioning. During our stay, the weather was very humid which made it hotter than normal. Hilo usually is cooler so this was not normal. Overall this home is clean, easy to get to and check in and out was super easy.

Cute, comfortable Hawaiian cottage

Thom's place was in a very quiet and safe neighborhood in the Hilo area. Centrally located. The cottage was older, but well kept and clean. Great for a short stay.

Perfect home in the heart of HILO!

Check in was easy, home was close and easy to access. Cute quiet neighborhood. Loved the comfort of this home, great equipped kitchen, washer and dryer on property, beds are so comfortable. Home was clean but not too "Fancy". Would rent again!

Awesome Second Stay

Needed a last minute place to stay while visiting family. Remembered we stayed at this location in 2022 and loved it! Booked it and within days we were checked in and extremely comfortable. Always cozy and clean. Enjoyed our stay immensely. Mahalo, Thom!

Home away from home

Loved this place. House was very clean and had everything we needed for the weekend. Neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. Loved sitting outside at night and stargazing. Would definitely rent this house again.

This property was Perfect. Very cozy and quaint. House was very clean as well. Perfect location near Hilo town and airport. Neighborhood quiet and safe. Host was very communicative and accommodating. Will definitely book here again.

Great place!

This house was a great place for our 3-day visit to Hilo and the east side of the Big Island. The location is great, and easy to find. The house had everything we needed, and gave us a good sleep and start/end to our days. We didn't spend much time there during the day, as we were out seeing the volcano, driving to the south end of the island, and looking around Hilo. We had a wonderful visit.

It was a convenient/quiet location (except for the koki frogs). It brought back memories (growing up in the area) and having friends that lived on the street.

Feel like a local!

This property made me feel like what it would feel like to be a local. It's an older Hawaiian house in a well kept, quiet neighborhood. I liked the big widows we kept open and a few mornings hearing the rain was so soothing. It was a relaxing place for my family after long days sightseeing. I appreciated the driveway and covered parking since it rained quite a bit during our stay. We had a great time here! Thank you!

it's a pretty old property with inspects

I didn't expect the house is that old and we found some cockroaches in the kitechen, even a few in the microwave machine. As a result, we gave up using the kiteched after the first night. One cockroach even climbed into my suitcase and I found that in my next spot. Maybe in Hilo, it's very normal to see cockroach while I prefer a clearner house.

From okay to GREAT!

When we first arrived, I wasn't sure if I would be comfortable in this house but I soon grew to love being here. We had a staycation in Hilo and loved it. My favorite moment was when a waitress at Hawaiian Style Cafe told me to bring my Tupperware next time to pack my leftovers. So I'm guessing staying in a residential area made me look and feel like a local! Also, I know that many people commended THOM for all he did to make our stay even better.

Hilo Happy

We had a great stay in this lovely Hawaiian home on a quiet street minutes from everything we wanted to do in Hilo. The house had huge windows and a great breeze even though it was a raining several days of our visit. The beds and furniture were tasteful and comfortable with large rooms. The back yard had a wall of vegetation which made it private and so quiet. Covered parking was really appreciated in the rain. Thom was so kind and offered insight and advice about the Big Island. He was flexible about check in and check out.

Nice property but no oven. Did not select damage protection but was still charged for it. Check in instructions never made it to my email. Property mgr gave excellent service

Disappointing

The home is stylish on the pictures, although in reality the place is really old and needs maintenance Carpets are stained and smelly, kitchen has insects defecation on almost all of then. Bathroom doesn't makes it better. The bed mattress are ok, but again bedsheets are stained and the rooms does not smell good. Everything is in bad shape and from the pictures you would not except it. We were very disappointed by this rental.
