Great Property & Location!
Unit was great. Loved having the bunkbed for the kids. Updated and clean. Sunset views from the balcony and access to two heated pools and the beach was great! We will definitely stay again!

Renters and Vacationers BEWARE
My family and I travel to Destin often. We recently came back from a mom/daughter trip. This was THE biggest disappointment I have ever experienced in Destin by far. First, it’s important to note that this unit is NOT managed by the Islander. It is managed by Emerald Coast Vacation Rentals.
Our flight got in around 8PM. Late check ins are directed to go and pickup keys at a completely different place. However, our GPS had us going 17 minutes away. Thankfully, we were able to get ahold of (a very annoyed) someone via the after hours “emergency” line. It was reiterated to us multiple times to “READ THE DIRECTIONS IN THE EMAIL.” Apparently a group of women aren’t capable of simple tasks.
By 9:30PM we locate the Southbay and arrive at the Islander. The code provided to us didn’t work. We had to call the office each time we came in. We also never received complimentary beach service.
Enter the condo, and upon first glance it was hot, and didn’t feel clean. TV in the living room wouldn’t turn on. There were multiple remotes scattered with backs/batteries missing. Linen closet was locked. Go to pull the bed out from the sofa and the whole back end collapses down.
Even though it was made VERY clear to us NOT to call the emergency after hours line again. I did. My concerns were completely disregarded.
At around 11 PM I called the Islander after hours emergency line. By midnight a very sweet woman brought us additional pillows and blankets. She even stayed and rewired all of the wires behind the TV, and was able to get it working. Our kids no longer had to sleep on floor with towels.
Andrew with the rental company calls the next day, and informs us that head of housekeeping had been by. They found everything to be in working condition. I tried explaining that SOMEONE ELSE had to come and fix their errors and also, the linens closet was locked. He called me a liar and said I was too “inept” to work a TV remote and open a door. Apparently, I am just a woman with a small brain. That’s why a WOMAN not even affiliated with this trash company had to come and fix their errors.
The sweet ladies at the Islander front desk felt so bad for us, they even gave us bottle openers because of course our unit didn’t even come with one.
At the end of the day I wouldn’t recommend this company to the cockroach I found on the kitchen floor.

Great place!
The condo was neat and clean. Overall our stay and experience was fantastic. My only issue was that we were a family of 6 (as stated in our reservation) and not enough linens were provided for the pullout bed and pillows. We had to make do with some blankets we'd brought for travel. In the kitchen, the rear left burner for the stove did not work but was able to use other burners for cooking. Also, only one of our access keys worked. With our busy schedule for the weekend, it was just easier to make do with what we had than to call the property manager.
Overall it was a beautiful condo in a safe and gorgeous location. I would definitely recommend staying.
