À propos de cet hébergement

4TH NIGHT FREE - 2022 Modern Farmhouse Cabin heavily wooded on Serenity Creek

Huge picture perfect windows in every room showcasing more trees than you can count. All front doors are glass and completely open up to nature giving you not only a great, relaxing view of the serene creek but also the feeling like you are outdoors. Wood burning fireplace indoors and lighted fire pit outdoors gives you the choice on where to make your delicious s'mores. Amazing hot tub for more outdoor fun.

Deer cross through regularly, typically in the early morning when it's the quietest. New appliances fill the kitchen starring a Samsung gas smart stove for your best cooking and baking. Regulation size shuffleboard, horse shoes and corn hole are games on the property. A geologist, petrologist, or just plain rock lovers dream, the land is covered with quartz, slate, and rocks. Moss that feels like carpet and many other natural elements can be found near the creek. The deck and dock are great places to sit and drink coffee or bring your yoga mat. The cabin (and it's sister cabin Doe See Doe) sit in a secluded heavily wooded area in Hochatown. The land and creek are beautiful all year long and with the change of the seasons comes different types of beauty. Snow and rain increase the depth of the creek and the speed of the water movement. Sunshine eventually brings lots of leaves and full trees.

Communication was wonderful after a minor issue that could not be foreseen. Jay worked hard at trying to fix the issue but because of the holiday weekend, it had to wait but we still enjoyed our stay very much. Laughter and the memories. That’s what mattered. Beds were comfy too! No complaints and we will definitely be returning in the fall.

Perfect change of scenery for our family over spring break! Loved that the house was situated next to a creek and that there was plenty of space for my kids to explore. The abundant natural light and sliding doors onto the deck spaces were wonderful. We enjoyed the fire pit, hot tub and shuffle board during our stay. The house felt removed but was conveniently located by shops and restaurants. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

Great place for families

Our family of 7 had plenty of room to hang out together and find quiet individual space as well. Our kids played outside much of the time on the private 5 acres. We were minutes away from Beaver Bend State Park. We highly recommend this beautiful home if you are traveling to the Broken Bow area.

The property was described as secluded, but there was a cabin directly across from ours and an RV parked nearby as well. There was a cold spell during our stay on Spring Break, and it didn't stay warm inside the cabin. Our children did love the creek and had fun in the hot tub. The themed decor was cute. Overall, we would not choose this cabin again though.

Quiet and secluded

The property is very private. We saw deer every day. There is a house being built on the same lot that would be good to rent together with the existing house.

Great Place to Relax

The house was in a peaceful setting, very clean and as pictured. The shuffleboard table did not work because there were not any beads to add on it and firewood is not provided with the house so you will need to pick some up on your way in.

Gorgeous

10 out of 10 recommend! The place was absolutely beautiful and peaceful. It does look like a second home will be built near it but at this time it is just the one home and you have plenty of privacy. We took so many pictures because the views are great for it. Communication was great with the host and we ended up adding nights.

Spring Break getaway

Our few days at this cabin were amazing! The house and property were immaculate and the owners went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed! The beds were comfortable, decor was beautiful, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals at the cabin and there were plenty of games for the kids and adults to play (cornhole, horse shoes, board games). We never even turned on the tv while we were there. The kids loved fishing and playing in the creek! They caught perch and bass the whole trip! We also saw tons of deer each evening while relaxing by the fire pit. It was the perfect getaway for us and the kids and we hope to come back in the future!!

Beautiful space, creek, & location

Our kids (10 & 7) would have spent all day catching minnows, crawdads, and bugs down in the creek if we had let them. They even put a line in and caught a 5in green sun fish and a 8-9in green sun fish. We were all very surprised to find such good sized fish in a creek! There is a cabin going up on the other side of the creek, but for our visit we enjoyed deer, birds, solitude and a location convenient to the activities in the park! Hosts were quick to respond to any questions we had. Thanks for sharing your space with our family!

Review

Such a cool property. Sits on 10 acres and creek runs through middle of property. Caught a small perch out of creek. When you step out of back deck the creek and the trees and sounds of nature make it so serene. There is a cabin they’re building on the other side of creek which is always in view if on back deck but no one was staying in it so it’s like we had 10 acres all to ourselves!! Saw deer in the evening by the creek one of our nights. We would recommend this property to anyone looking to be secluded with their friends and family while staying in Hochatown.

Great cabin!

It looked like the pictures nice and clean, cozy with all the nice soft throw blankets, charming fireplace and nice kitchen to cook in, I love the gas stove! The deck was a beauty, nature bugs was a problem so bringing plenty of tiki candles helped! The cabin was perfectly ducked off but they are building another cabin across the way so hopefully the trees will help avoid the privacy concerns. We really look forward in going back in the fall!

À propos de l’hôte

Hôte : Jay Benge

Image de profil de l’hôte
We are recent empty nesters with the desire to create a place for families to bond and make lasting memories. Jay is the type to survive anything with the bare elements surrounding him, while Tracy is looking for the nearest hotel that offers room service! We are blessed to be married 29 years and have raised 6 kids.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

With 6 kids we did not vacation often, but did manage a few trips. One to the Caribbean, one to Disney World, and one to Broken Bow. Recently, sitting around the dinner table we asked our grown kids which vacation they liked best and our youngest burst out first with Beavers Bend! What wonderful memories we made glamping, canoeing, playing games, and exploring nature.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

With both of us suddenly out of work in 1993 and expecting our first child, my dad came by and said what are ya'll going to do!? He suggested with my experience in Real Estate and Jay's experience in Construction that we open a construction business. So we did. Building this cabin with other families in mind has been a labor of love.
