Bermuda Beachfront | Steps from Sand + Surf!

Bermuda Beachfront - the name says it all. This 3 bedroom 3 bath home will accommodate up to 14 guests. This beachfront home is located only steps to the sand and surf - nothing except sand between you and the water. The family will love the beachfront access - views from left to right - all water. Bermuda Beach is close to all the attractions that Galveston has to offer.

Bermuda Beachfront home offers an open floor plan with kitchen (fully outfitted for all the cooking you will want to do), dining to the living area has gorgeous views of the Gulf of Mexico from the windows or sitting on the deck while the entire family watches as the sun comes up toward the East and the shrimp boats glide past the second sand bar. Guests will enjoy a 65"" flat-screen TV in the living area. This three-bedroom home has sleeping accommodations as follows. Three bedrooms and three full baths on the main level of the house (remember all houses are up one flight of stairs). The primary bedroom on the main level features a king-size bed (sleeps 2), TV and bath with a step-in shower. The second bedroom has two queen size beds (sleeps 4) and a full bath with step-in shower. The third bedroom has two twin over full bunks beds (sleeps 6). The living area features a queen sleeper sofa (sleeps 2). The third bathroom has a tub/shower combination.

Charcoal up the grills and hang out downstairs listening to the sounds of the surf roll in. A great place to spend your summer vacation and a quick trip to the Galveston Strand, Pleasure Pier, Schlitterbahn, restaurants, and much more! Location, location, location!

After reading some of the recent reviews, I was a little worried about this property. Luckily, there was absolutely no need to be. While it could use a little maintenance (as could most of the older beachfront homes), it is really quite wonderful. The location is superb, the house is super comfortable, and my goodness, you can't beat the view. We truly had a great time and would not hesitate to rent again.

Not as pictured

Current condition of this property is NOT as pictured in the listing. Lots of general maintenance has been neglected for quite some time: broken window, broken AC with 2 window units in 2 of the bedrooms so loud my kids couldn’t sleep; outdoor trash can wa still when we got there and spilled trash that blew all over the yard; cobwebs and insects throughout, renovations incomplete: missing caulking from key wet areas, ceiling patching without finishing, holes in walls throughout, paint chipping throughout, doors splintering and pieces missing, outdoor shower missing panel in door making it unusable due to lack of privacy, washer broken, fridge didn’t get to temp until next day jeopardizing hundreds of dollars worth of groceries. Prop management came to fix the missing doorknob on one of the bedrooms and the outdoor shower door, but no attempt from prop mgmt to compensate for any for the false advertising, missing/unusable amenities, etc. Very disappointing. Worst VRBO experience to date. We have another vacation we are planning for later this summer and may need to look at a different booking platform; just SO disappointing.

Great location .. but needs updating

Great location on the beach. But the pictures listed are not up to date. The property has a lot of wear and has not been kept up to date. The out door faucets are corroded to the point that they are not of use. There are lots of corrosion outside among the structure components. The washer and dryer are located outside underneath in a storage facility. We did not use them, but they too have lots of corrosion. Inside in the main bedroom, the curtain rod over the doors going to the balcony is corroded. All of the bedroom doors were worn on the bottom and flaking apart. The kitchen does have some utensils, but it is missing some very basic utensils such as a spatula. The pots and pans are provided, but are very worn. The front right main burner on the stove does not work. We wanted to vacuum but the vacuum did not have a cord or other attachments. In addition in the closet, there are several items that are essentially not usable. For example, there were two telescopes in the closet and neither one of them had all of the pieces to function properly. There is a lot of things that need to be removed because they are not useful and are broken. For example, in the storage area there is a beach wagon, but there is no handle on the wagon. It has rusted off.In addition, as other reviewers have mentioned, we did have to deal with ants in some of the bedrooms.Location is great house has lots of potential but needs updating.

Great location but neglected

The house was located right on the beach with a wonderful large deck. The inside of the house was spacious for a big group of people. With some TLC this house could be great. Not have a working drying was the biggest inconvenience. Also, pulling up to the house where there were nails in the driveway, metal poles sticking out of the ground where several in our party cut their feet and an un-mowed yard did not make for a great start. Many things were neglected in the house as well. The rug in the living room needs to be thrown away as it was gross to step on. All the doors scrapped the floor loudly and were torn up at the bottom. The bunk room had a broken chair and broken shelves. On the patio there were broken pieces of tile and wood just laying in the corner next to a broken lounge chair. It was nice having a door to the patio from the master, but it leaked when it rained and the knob on the outside was badly rusted. All the knobs on the outdoor hoses were broken and difficult to turn since there was hardly any knob left. There were ants everywhere as well. This could be a great house if someone would take care of it. Unfortunately we would not stay here again.

Needs some work

The property needs some attention. The master bedroom doors need some serious work as they do not shut properly. This is a security issue as well as being uncomfortable. The shower in master is designed in a way that most of the water ends up on the floor. Since the dryer didn’t work, we had wet towels/mats that we tried to hang dry outside. That’s impossible with the humidity and sand blowing! Also the bunk beds need to be tightened. Ryson didn’t even respond about the dryer and some of these issues have been reported before and obviously not addressed. Maybe you should shut down and do some repairs so your guests can have the experience they deserve The last night we found a guest staying we didn’t invite. A Cockroach!!

Needs work

A few things needed to know about this rental. First is when we arrived was that the bolt and nuts were changed on the structure of the home bc they were everywhere under the home. There's broken rust chips, rusty washers, everywhere from them changing them out which you couldn't walk barefoot to the bc of the rust chips on concrete floors! Next washer only wanted to work when it wanted to and the dryer heated but would not tumble the clothes or towels dry. Vacuum cleaner was missing pieces, can opener doesn't work. I have rented in Galveston for many years and this one has been one of worst I have rented. It was almost as if it was last minute let's get this rental together for the weekend! Not very pleased overall with this particular rental!

Great location

Location is great! A few steps from the beach and near town. The house is good for a family. 3 rooms and 3 full bathrooms are great! The property has some minor maintenance issues, but it was clean and everything worked well. However there was a pile of old tile on the deck and the yard was overgrown.

It was okay there was an ant problem and we couldn’t locate the washer and dryer. Also the freeze and refrigerator wasn’t cold enough and the main bathroom and secondary bathroom was really small. Had stains on furniture and chipped paint on doors.

Location Location Location

This beach house is all about location on Bermuda Beach, just a very few miles from west of Galveston and was not overrun with people. It was accurately advertised, clean and well stocked in the kitchen for cooking. The balcony was a plus with a wonderful view all day & night. This beachfront house is one we all agreed will be great to come back to.

House was as shown on the listing. It was comfortable but the most of all, the location cannot be beat. We spent most time outdoors on the beach which was quiet and not busy at all. There were few broken items, mostly decors, but it didn’t impact our stay. We would consider staying here again in the future.

Not as advertised

I tried to speak with Ryson after our stay through email and got no response. They did allow us to access property 30 min early which was nice. However the stairs up to the property were unstable and nerve racking to use. The pictures show a keyless doorknob but that's not there. They key was extremely hard to use. We felt like we would break it just to unlock/lock the door. The pictures do not show the cracks in tile in kitchen, broken microwave handle, nonworking ice maker (we had to buy ice and water from Kroger), and faucet that is difficult to turn off. Every bed was horrible, but the sofa be was nearly non-existent. We had to use sofa cushions and dilapidated foam mattress topper to have a place to sleep. The bath rooms were horrible. Spiders all over, Escutcheon face plate for shower handle was detached from wall, while taking a shower the glass doors which vastly differ from pictures came off in my husbands hands. He was wet and naked holding a heave glass door, while using the toilet the soft close seat wouldn't stay up. it kept closing on him while peeing. The door to that room was difficult to close, and when we finally got it to close it took 2 adults to open the door. The outside door in King size bedroom doesn't fully shut. This property needs a lot of maintenance before anyone else stays here. With a 9.0 review we thought it was going to be great. It wasn't worth half of what we paid to stay there. There's more. I'm out of characters though.

Beachfront!

The location can’t be beat! On the beach and still only a few minutes from downtown Galveston. The home has a few minor issues (as any beachfront home might have) but nothing that interfered with our sandy adventure! The open layout and HUGE covered patio was perfect for the rainy days. And being steps from ocean really let us maximize our time in the sun. No need to pack much as you can just walk back to the house if you need anything! Would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable with great view

At arrival the outside isn’t super attractive so we got a little nervous but the inside was everything the pictures were. Great view and accommodations. Don’t judge a book by its cover. It was very clean and sleeps a ton of people. Beds comfortable and kitchen had all the essentials. Check out rules are pretty easy, more than most. I think we all agreed for such a late check in time a little later check out would be nicer. Overall, pretty easy going experience.

The house is at a great location, but the description leaves off several items. The bedrooms have no closets or hangers so had to hang clothes on shared bathroom shower rod. Our bathroom appears to be a former closet and is extremely small with no electical outlets or storage. One mattress was very lopsided. The outside is in great need of paint.Sent several emails to request a later check-out and never got a response other than they received my email.

Great Beach Location

Bermuda Beach is a nice safe neighborhood. This house is located off the beach parking lot, which is great. The interior of the house is nice, with comfortable beds in two bedrooms. Bunk room mattresses don’t seem great. It is clean and well stocked, even enough toilet paper, paper towels, etc. there is a chair in the master that seems to need replacing, as it has lost its fluff. The washer and dryer are downstairs in a closet, as are chairs and beach toys. My only real concern is the deck and deck furniture, which are in need of re painting. It would be nice if the front door were at least cleaned around the knob. It’s not a great first impression. We did like the house. With just a few tweaks it could be great. The house is close to most things. The kitchen did have a missing cabinet door, but that’s pretty inconsequential. If you want a clean home in a prime beach location, this is it!

Nice weekend at the beach

Nice 3 bedroom home on the beach. The 3 bed rooms and 3 bathrooms provided plenty of space for the 6 of us. The inside of the home was bright and clean. The outside is overdue for some maintenance. Communication with the property management was great. There were no issues during the stay but they checked in with us a couple of times. House is directly across from a beach walkway access point making it easy to get to and from the beach. We definitely have this on our list to visit again.
