Codax Retreat is a newly cabin which sits on the Chippewa River (Old Abe Lake) north of Chippewa Falls, WI. Great place for family vacations, girls’ getaway, or guys fishing trip.
Fully furnished. Main level living/dining/kitchen area with large windows facing the lake. Well supplied kitchen. Sleeps 12+.The loft overlooks the living area looking directly out to the lake. Laundry on site. Grill on site, covered outdoor patio. Two car heated garage

LocatedGreat Fishing! Boat launch is easily accessible on lake. Private dock with many water activities to partake in. Paddleboards, water trampoline, rope swing, and Mission mat all available to renters for added non-motorized water activities. Ole Abe Lake is also a great area to just float down!

The CoDax was a beautiful home with wonderful view of the snowy Chippewa River. The home was large enough for 8 adults and 3 teenagers. Plenty of space to spread out with the heated garage/game room and 2 areas with TVs inside as well. The home was a bit tricky to get to with the snow covered roads, but turn at the CoDax sign by the driveway and it'll take you right to it. The owners were wonderful and were just a message away if we needed anything.

Super clean and inviting. Loved the decor. Felt very at home. We had a super warm October weekend so the kids had a blast swinging off the rope swing and jumping into the water :) Plenty of room for the 12 of us (6 adults and 6 kids) the kids loved hangout in the loft area and the garage space was awesome with lots to do. 10/10 would recommend. Would definitely book again!

What a beautiful home and setting! A spacious 4 bedroom home sitting above the beautiful Chippewa river! Comfortable beds, a well equiped kitchen and a very nice outdoor space that included a fire ring! Angie was a wonderful host and maintained contact from the moment I booked with her! We visited wineries, parks, a mansion, waterfalls and other sites within a short drive of the house! I would highly recommend the Codax Retreat for a very nice get-a-way!

The House was very clean, spacious and well stocked with kitchen items and linens. There was plenty of room to spread out as well as large enough space for all 14 of us to gather. The home is secluded from other properties which is nice for privacy. There are enough activities to do on sight that we didn’t feel the need to leave. We truly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others.

A spectacular gem for all family members!

Our family stayed here for the Christmas holiday and it was an amazing time. The property is new, spacious, clean, modern with a cozy feel and offers privacy for outdoor fun. We have stayed many places and the Codax Retreat by far is one of the BEST places we have stayed at. We would highly recommend staying here for anyone looking for comfort and optimal fun with their family. :-)

Family vacation

Our family absolutely loved this house and especially enjoyed the water and all of the extra toys included! There were 12 of us ranging in age from 5-67, and there was more than enough space for all. The house is beautiful, spacious and very well stocked. We loved that we could sit in the lawn chairs and keep an eye on the kids while they were swimming, and the garage served as a wonderful game room to occupy the kids in the evenings. We would definitely rent here again!

Codax retreat was a fantastic home for our family of 14 people (ages 2-60). We did have to get creative with sleeping situations with kids as some of the sleeping areas are in the loft which is very open. We comfortably slept 8 adults in beds and 2 kids in the bunk beds. The other four kids slept on kid air mattresses (not provided). The 2.5 bathrooms were great to have. The open space was great and the garage - the kids LOVED. There were so many games/activities for all ages. We had plenty to do during our weekend stay. The outdoor space was fantastic as well.

Memories were made!

Angie was a super host....the accommodations were amazing. The kitchen was well stocked with everything....coffee bar area...roomy and clean!! The 7 grandkids LOVED the garage - heated - games - large screen TV - couches - table etc. One grandson said "Grandma you hit a homerun with this one!" Close to Brunet Island State Park for some hiking. Angie thanks for sharing your beautiful place with our family!!!

Bachelorette/bridal get away

Thank you for sharing your home with us. This was a great time making memories for my daughter and her bridal party. The local people were super friendly. We enjoyed the big garage area playing games and hanging out. The kitchen and coffee bar were a big hit. Loved that everyone had a little privacy with the bed rooms. And there were plenty of bathroom space for the 10 of us gals. Only thing I would change is the time of year we stayed. All of us wanted to use the rope swing but it was just to darn cold. Springtime was still fun, but summer on the river would definitely be worth coming back.Oh and the girls didn’t like the lady bugs all over the floors and ceiling. Would love to bring my family back, Sincerely The Stagman’s
