Chalet 2 chambres sur la riviĂšre Chippewa

Il n’ya rien de plus en extĂ©rieur. Que vous aimiez pĂȘcher, camper, faire du vĂ©lo, de la motoneige ou de la chasse, tout est Ă  votre portĂ©e. En regardant par la porte d'entrĂ©e de ce magnifique chalet, vous verrez la beautĂ© Ă  couper le souffle de la riviĂšre Chippewa. Ce chalet est gĂ©nial en toute saison.
L'Ă©tĂ© est idĂ©al pour la pĂȘche, la navigation de plaisance, le kayak, le canoĂ«-kayak ou le pĂ©dalo. L'automne est le moment idĂ©al pour faire une promenade Ă  vĂ©lo sur la piste cyclable Old Abe, pĂȘcher sur la riviĂšre Chippewa ou partir Ă  la chasse Ă  la faune locale, notamment Ă©cureuil, cerf, ours, lapins, renard, etc. Ă  proximitĂ©.
L'hiver est idéal pour la raquette, le ski de fond, la motoneige et le ski alpin à une courte distance.
Le printemps est le moment idĂ©al pour regarder les bois s'animer aprĂšs l'hiver. Profitez des activitĂ©s familiales telles que le VTT, la randonnĂ©e, la pĂȘche et les feux de camp. Quelle que soit la saison, ou la totalitĂ©, vous avez l'intention de vous rendre, il y en a pour tous les goĂ»ts.
Les attractions locales incluent le sentier de l’ñge de glace, la brasserie Leinenkugels, le parc national de Brunet Island et la proximitĂ© des lacs Holcolmbe et Wissota. En Ă©tĂ©, vous ĂȘtes Ă  quelques minutes des terrains Country Fest and Rock Fest et du festival Jim Falls Sturgeon

Really nice location overlooking the river. Used the boat landing across the river to launch kayaks and then enjoyed a lovely campfire in the evening.

Norm and Sue have a cozy and clean cabin. We enjoyed being right on the Chippewa River and the close proximity to the Old Abe Trail.

We loved our country get away. Upon our arrival Norm gave us a tour and suggestions of area restaurants. We awoke each morning enjoying breakfast while looking over the river. Ended the day with campfires, star gazing and the peace and tranquillity of the country. On our last night we also met Sue and she to joined us in conversations of the history of their family and Vrbo. Thanks for hosting and sharing with us-will definitely return.Lynn, Donny and Amy

Cottage was clean and comfortable. Hosts were super welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. The A/C unit could use an upgrade or another one added to the cottage as it had a hard time cooling the space. There to fish and caught Catfish, Perch and Bass.

Always a great stay

My son and I have stayed here 4 years in a row and always look forward to coming back. They treat us so well and the cabin is always clean and they even updated the TV this year. A very nice and quiet getaway

House was ok dusty in parts. The pictures they posted made it seem like it was a private on the river house, it was not. We had to drive and park in the hosts back yard to enter our house. Also the temps for that weekend were in the mid 90’s and they did not turn on the AC until they let us in the house, shouldn’t have been a big deal but if the place is in your backyard kinda think you could have done that.

The property is great for what it is: a rustic location right on the river. No frills! They mean it when they say bring your own towels/bedding. But the kitchen works fine, good sized fridge, the bed was quite comfortable, and the view was wonderful.I'm giving 4 stars because at times, it was TOO rustic. The electrical outlets in the bedroom seem to be loose, the water never got that hot, WiFi wouldn't reach to the bedrooms, that sort of thing. Which, if the weather had been better, I might not have noticed and, as it was, it all worked as needed.Sue and Norm were very friendly, welcoming, and I did enjoy my stay.

Relaxing

The views were beautiful, the colors were starting to turn, so we enjoyed the dock in the morning with coffee, and the stars at night with hot tea. Will definitely be back!

The cottage does look a bit older from outside but inside was clean and cozy.

Great relaxing stay. Great sunsets and very quiet place. Fishing for smallmouth bass was super on the Chippewa River. If you need to relax and have a peaceful trip this is the place to go!

My wife and I are originally from Ladysmith, WI, which is about 30 miles north on highway 27. My father bought the cottage shortly after we got married. We lived in it for about 3 years before we built our own home next door. When my parents passed away, we inherited the property. We rented it on an annual basis until the last renter nearly destroyed it. I decided we would try the 'rent by the week' idea and see how it went. We are still fairly new at this and consider all suggestions to improve the cottage.
