Linn Run Hideaway Cabin

A cozy remodeled 2-bedroom cabin located just a few miles from the town of Ligonier that has many different small local owned shops, restaurants, coffee shops, and small bars. Ligonier also has many family-friendly activities and one of the oldest amusement parks in the states. This cabin has all the amenities of a modern homes in a country setting. located only two miles from the 600 Acre Linn Run state park and six miles from the 60,000 Forbes state forest. Both the state park and state forest are recognized for there many miles of hiking, biking and snowmobiling trails as well as many scenic over look areas such as bears rock. Also popular hunting and fishing destinations with great native trout, white tail deer and black bear populations. there is also a small play ground only a 1/4 mile away thats excellent for kids of all ages! This cozy cabin also has a large outdoor deck, firepit and grill.
Pets are welcome.
We now have outdoor video/audio surveillance cameras on the property lines. If that is an issue please contact us and we will try and accommodate you!

The cabin as always was awesome for my family and I. We love the large deck in front and the open floor plan inside. The cabin is always neat, smells clean and has everything that you could possibly need. This was our fourth stay here and we will be back again.The hosts are friendly, accommodating and respond to messages in a timely manner.

A cabin along Linn run.

Nestled in the sweet spot of the Laurel Highlands, Shawn’s cabin did not disappoint. Ample, easy parking. A large front deck with table and chairs, partly covered. There’s a fire pit and a barbecue grill. The newly renovated cabin’s interior was beautiful. Cathedral ceilings, open floor plan with kitchen, dining and living together. Comfortable furniture, excellent TV. The kitchen was very well equipped. A full sized fridge and stove, microwave and coffee maker. The bathroom with shower was spotless. Two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed, very comfortable, and another with bunk beds. Highly recommended!

Nice and Peaceful

Very clean house, host checked in on us often via messages to ensure we did not need anything. Cabin was in a very peaceful woodsy area, and was equipped with anything you could need! Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful Getaway in a Great Location

Perfect and cozy. Minutes from Linn Run State Park, Laurel Summit, Spruce Flats Bog, and Wolf Rocks Trail. We enjoyed the large deck with covered dining area while bird watching and hearing lots of spring migrants. Having a remote controlled air conditioning/heating unit in each room is a real plus. And the electric fireplace in the living area took the chill out of the room quickly and provided a cozy ambiance. Being only 10 minutes from Ligonier provided delicious dining opportunities. And having the fabulous Brenda's Deli just moments away made for great lunches and decadent baked goods. This property is not to be missed if you enjoy the State Parks in the area!

Great property in an excellent location. Shawn is a good host who communicates quickly and clearly! The cottage is in a quiet, secluded neighborhood in the beautiful natural setting of Linn Run.

Great getaway spot!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was impeccably maintained and the host had every amenity one could think of available during our stay. Being able to listen to the nearby babbling brook and sit out on the extended deck was incredibly relaxing. Located in a quiet and quaint area near Linn Run State Park it is ideal for hikers and park visitors. The host was extremely responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back!

Three adults stayed. Nice place for family of 4. Good location if you want to ski both Hidden Valley and Laurel Mountain -- reasonably close to both.

Absolutely perfect

There aren't even enough kind words to fully express the entire experience from beginning to end. The owner is wonderful at communicating and is so kind and understanding. The property was perfect for spending some quality time with my adult children. Everything you would need to check in and not leave was was provided, you just need to bring food. It was comfortable cozy, the neighbors are wonderful, and honestly you can't ask for much more. I highly recommend this property and I'm looking forward to going back when summer comes.

Weekend away Bring your own water

The cabin was nice and clean. Beds were fine. It seems a bit sterile with no wall hangings, carpets etc. the worst thing is the water. It has a bad smell. The towels were ok but the thin kind and as soon as wet they stunk also. I actually have similar water issues at home and installed softener and carbon filters to remedy. The price was not bad so i guess you get what you pay for.

Great communication

The owner called me as soon as he knew there was a an issue with the property, which allowed me to make a good decision about whether or not to travel with my family. I appreciate that he had taken the time to do a walk-through before I had left for a many-hour drive. I ended up not staying in the property and so I cannot rate it, but I would definitely consider going again because of the excellent communication..

Linn Run Hideaway Cabin.

This was our third time staying at this property. We love the location as it is next to Linn Run State Park and close to Idlewild Park, Seven Springs and Fort Ligonier. The cabin is nicely maintained and always clean with just the right amount of space and amenities. The host are friendly and communicate well. We will not hesitate to stay again.

Perfect Weekend Getaway !!

Beautifully decorated cabin with absolutely everything we needed !! Quiet peaceful setting near state parks. Within minutes of Ligonier and Latrobe. ( we like to eat out even when camping ) 5 star cabin for sure and very well maintained property. Can’t wait to stay here again!! and well maintained
