*The elevator is residential grade and may occasionally experience disruptions. Our staff will do all we can to repair any issues and get the elevator functional again. Outstanding rental even with Tropical Storm Barry

Our whole family throughly enjoyed our stay at Sea Chalet. It is a perfect vacation home for a large family with children. The elevator was wonderful for bringing up groceries.

Christmas at St George

We enjoyed the location. The view from the house is spectacular, but can be improved with updated sliding doors. The doors have aged and the glass is cloudy. The view is too beautiful to have cloudy glass obstructing it. Another recommendation for inhancing the experience at Sea Chalet, would be to invest in better quality mattresses. I’m over 50 and sleeping comfort is very important to me for a quality vacation experience. One last thing that would make for a great experience would be to make sure the remotes for all the TV’s are working. Other than those suggestions, the stay was very nice. My family and I had a wonderful time. Thank you Sea Chalet.

Nice size home for group of 14!

Overall this is a great property. There were 3 adult couples with kids for a total of 14 in our group. The kids aged from three to eighteen. The house was well stocked and the elevator was such a nice touch for bringing in luggage and groceries. At first inspection the house could have been a little cleaner - especially the bathrooms. While there was surface dirt (hair) they also could use a deep scrubbing (jets, grout, etc). The management company was great when needed and quickly provided more propane when we discovered our 3 tanks were empty - we had used one the night before. We also identified a leak from one of the showers - that I'm sure has been there for a while - and we allowed the plumber to come take care of it during our stay. (Hope they out the ceiling back before the next renters). The walkway to the beach was fantastic and much appreciated! However, after you rinse off either in the downstairs outdoor shower or wash your feet with the waterhose provided - you end up tracking in more sand as there is no drain for the water and sand to go into and it stays puddled in the garage area. The beach towels provided were a huge help and because we knew they were there we didn't pack all 14. We were also able to use the big basket provided to carry towels up and down the stairs and/or elevator. The only household item we needed to provide during our stay were paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags and dishwasher detergent. There was plenty of everything else. I would highly recommend this house - especially for large groups that aren't family as there was ample space to spread out and have some down time. Just keep in mind if traveling with children that the master is on the top floor and the other 4 bedrooms on the 2nd. If you have sneaky teenagers the main door is on the second floor. Oh! And a plus...we were able to observe a sea turtle coming in from sea during the full moon of night one and snuck down to the beach to observe her laying her eggs. What a magical experience. To the mgmt company - the house book needs to be updated. Turtle rules and information about beach etiquette was shoved in the back. Also, just an FYI sheet on the overall house and rules would be nice in addition to the email sent before arrival.

Great, well-maintained property!

Sea Chalet is a beautiful, well-maintained home in the SGI Plantation. It was a great size for our family of 12, and the large dining table was perfect for a big Thanksgiving dinner spread and for cards and games in the evenings. The two decks overlooking the beautiful beach and water are perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee in mornings, a glass of wine in the afternoons, and for watching the dolphins play. The home is very well-stocked, is on a very quiet street with little traffic. I can't say enough about how wonderful the folks at SGI Premier Properties were to work with. The booking process was extremely easy, Rebekah answered all of the questions about the property that arose once we arrived at the home, and she even had a vacuum cleaner delivered to us within an hour of our request! Five star service for sure. Would highly recommend this property and SGI Premier Properties!

Beautiful Home, Great Location!

This home is open, spacious, bright with a good floor plan & roomy comfortable bedroom suites. It is near the west end of the island so we'd walk down to watch the amazing sunset every night. This house is clean, comfortable, well stocked & even has 2 refrigerators. The management company was thorough & attentive, easy to get in touch with & very friendly & helpful. Honestly, the whole experience was wonderful!

great place for extended family

After the initial mix up with email description & reality, we were able to get in to the house. But, the photos did not do the inside justice. Much larger than it looked! Bedrooms were very comfortable for a family of all adults - and some rather tall ones! A few complaints - the top floor a/c unit was out for a day, the corner showers were way too small, the bathtub shower curtain was very moldy, the living room blinds were old and bent so they fell down the first night, and the coffee pot hadn't been cleaned in a long time. The help we received, over the phone and in person, was courteous, timely and professional. We already were making plans to rent again!

Great home for large family group!

Great location in a very quiet neighborhood. Not a problem to us- but be aware that on this part of the island Verizon cell coverage was limited. The wifi was very weak during the day when everyone was surfing the web. Loved having the elevator for our elderly parents. And the closet of goodies was an added bonus!

Fantastic house with a million dollar view

Beautiful home with the best stocked kitchen we have ever experienced. Beach view was magnificent with great covered decks. Large enough for everyone to have their own space and come together for family time. Elevator was a lifesaver for getting all our luggage and supplies up to the second and third level. Comfortable seating in living area and lots of seating at dinner table. Two refrigerators were a plus too! Great place to make family vacation memories!

Wonderful location, beautiful beach.

Carport area could be cleaner,(found rusty nails and fishing hooks) sand everywhere. Had trouble with dryer, dishwasher leaked, and refrigerator (1) had some issues. The floors weren't clean, dog hair on stairs and sand. Loved the decor and layout of house. Nice having the bikes, kayaks, beach chairs and ample towels. Family enjoyed our stay.

perfect vacation

sea chalet is a beautiful, well stocked house right on the beach. We had everything we needed, more than we expected, and plenty of room for the whole family. The welcome bag was a very nice touch and made us feel at home!

Lots of perks make up for shortcomings

The good: -very clean!! -big dining room table for feasting and playing games! -tons of plates and flatware! -big thick super nice beach towels! -2 refrigerators! -large comfortable living area! -Closet o’ Fun with beach chairs, fishing poles, beach toys, inflatables, boogie boards, coolers, WD 40, bikes and who knows what else! It was absolutely stupendous!!! We coulda left half our load at home had we known there were so many treasures. -paddle board and kayaks! -elevator! (which my uncle rode many times a day due to his bad hip) -proximity to Sikes Cut! -vast supply of kitchen garbage bags, foil, baggies, etc! The less-than-stellar: -Anderson doors which, despite excellent written instructions, few people were able to properly lock. Two of us spent all week running around securing doors that others had unintentionally left ajar -Outdated bathrooms with old fixtures, tile, and jacuzzi tubs with tiny separate showers. This was more offensive to some of my party than to me personally, as I am just grateful for functioning indoor plumbing. But I do agree with them that bigger showers would be nice. I am a small person, and I didn’t have much room to turn around. -No beach access from the upstairs living area. The lower bedrooms facing the beach have easiest boardwalk access, but who really wants a parade of people tromping thru their bedroom to get to the beach? Everyone else had to go out the front door, or all the way down to the parking area to get to the beach boardwalk. -Bedrooms below the living area. This is only a problem if you have an uncle who arises at 0500, makes coffee in the kitchen above you, and then goes in and out of the sliding doors every 15 minutes. If there are small children in your party, you will also have no trouble discerning their location when you’re in a lower floor bedroom. Having bedrooms above the living area just makes for a much more harmonious week.

Beautiful, spacious house in the quiet part of the Plantation.

For eight adults and two pugs it was perfect! Large gathering room for the group, with plenty of balconies and private space for intimate conversations. Having an elevator to bring the dogs in and out was indispensable. The beach was private - nearly all ours, And the stars at night were like nothing we’ve ever seen. Even the Milky Way!

One of our best vacations ever

Let me begin with Carla Gibbs, she helped me with everything related to the rental and was fabulous. She answered right away and couldn't have been better. Thanks Carla! As to Sea Chalet, OMG! they had everything they stated and more. The view is unbelievable, the kids & adult toys they provided were the best; even bicycles! The kitchen is so well equipped that nothing, and I mean nothing was left out. The large table and chairs made dinner for 12 fun. The bedding was top of the line. And parking out of the hot Florida sun in the covered parking area was a bonus we did not expect. You can easily fit 3 cars or if you have a boat it is high enough to handle it. The location takes the cake though. Plantation itself is beautiful. The drive to the house is so lovely on a winding road surrounded by Florida trees, bushes and foliage. The house is perfect. Walk down the stairs, just a very short boardwalk and you are on the beach. Even though we had access to the community pool, we stayed on the beach all week. The water was warm and calm with waves large enough for the kids to enjoy the boogie boards but not too large that you had to worry about a rip tide. After dinner we walked to the rock jetty where we saw the most spectacular sun sets. We will definitely try to go back to Sea Chalet again. After having had a very difficult beginning to 2018, I wish to extend my thanks to all for making our very needed vacation all and more than I hoped it would be. Nanette

well maintained and equipped home

We enjoyed our week at Sea Chalet. The beach closet with umbrellas, chairs, kayaks etc. was much appreciated. Also, the beach towels were a great addition. We brought our dogs to the beach for the first (and last) time. Thank you for allowing our canine companions to come along. While we were glad to have them, they love to swim and monitoring their ingestion of sea water was not relaxing!!!! The elevator made taking them out super easy though. The layout was also great for our family of 6..... plenty of room for spreading out.

Beautiful home. Everything you could want for the vacation.

Well suited for our family. We had 9 adults and 4 children and could have accommodated several more. Large bedrooms, all with king size beds. Beautiful Beach home

What a great house! What a great view! We had a slightly rough start when we arrived since none of the sheets had been washed (full of sand and hair) and the coffee maker had a moldy filter left in it but the manager was mortified and fixed the issue immediately. The house is wonderful - spacious, light and airy, tastefully decorated and well stocked. We loved having the bikes, paddle boards and grill to use. The weather was chilly but we really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely rent this one again. Great house for large groups. It was cute that owners left a welcome gift of a beach bag, bottle opener, cups and stuffed animal. Fun vacation!
