Wonderful home, very clean with everything you would ever need in a great location. Our host was very attentive, though we needed nothing. Great spot for families, couples, etc. Enjoyed exploring the area on foot and town as well. Will return!

We spent Thanksgiving week at the house with extended family. Geeta was a lovely host - she was super communicative and accommodating when we asked to host a few local friends for the holiday. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving feast at the house with plenty of space for kids and adults to enjoy themselves.The house was comfortable, warm and spacious The space was beautifully appointed and thoughtfully laid out. The kids loved the game room and loved having their own bedroom downstairs. The house is in a quiet neighborhood, very close to downtown Nevada City and to some nice dog-friendly hiking trails. The furnishings were beautiful albeit on the cheaper side. The sofa was broken when we arrived and some of the dresser drawers were hard to open. We let Geeta know so hopefully that will be fixed for future guests! The kitchen is well-stocked with a lot of pots, pans, slow cookers, rice cookers, blender, etc - so very good for cooking - but many things were pretty worn. The kitchen supplies could use updating and a reorganization. That said, our stay was excellent, we loved the house, the location, and the kind and generous host! We would happily to return for another visit and highly recommend this rental.

Kitchen came with free snacks, cereal, juice, great for our kid. It was an easy drive to downtown, but a little up the hill so very private.

We were so impressed with the cleanliness and welcoming vibe when we arrived - the dining table was set beautifully with flowers and a bottle of wine, welcome note, etc. Excellent communication from host, all rooms were well equipped, and the common areas were just as big or bigger than they appeared in the pictures. We spent a lot of time on the deck and cooking in the well-supplied kitchen. We used the spices, cookware, cereal, coffee, tea, cookies and toiletries provided. We enjoyed the cute downtown Nevada City and went for a swim in the Yuba River. We ran out of ice at one point and the host even offered to Instacart some ice to us! Above and beyond service.Plenty of parking. We had six people sleeping over and cooked for a total 11 people with guests every night, plenty of plates and utensils for this size crowd or even bigger.Highly recommend!

This was a quick trip. We were in town for a graduation. Great location. House was very clean and well stocked. We forgot to bring coffee and creamer and when we got there they had several bags of coffee to choose from with a large canister of sugar and assortment of creamers. Bathrooms had everything needed. We highly recommend this home

Perfect Stay!!

Six of us stayed here for a wedding and it was perfect! It was clean and exactly like the pictures. It was close to downtown but still secluded in the woods. The host was super responsive and very nice. I’d stay here again for sure!!

The perfect family get away

We traveled to Nevada city to celebrate my birthday as a big group of 8. This property had everything we needed and more. Our host was always available to answer any questions we had during our stay. If you’re looking to have a nice worry free get away this is the one for you.

The perfect weekend getaway!

This was the best location for our Nevada city getaway! A group of 7 of us fit absolutely perfect in this home! Geeta was exceptional at communicating with me and giving me all the information we needed for our stay! She was even able to accommodate an early check in (given the availability)! The home was clean and welcoming! Only a 5 minute drive into the cute town of Nevada City! We enjoyed the wood fireplace, cozy bedrooms, and open living space for our friends getaway! We didn’t end up bringing our pup, but the home is dog friendly and had accommodations for furry friends! We would absolutely come back and stay here again!

Exceptional Property!

Everything about our stay was exceptional. We stayed at the property over a long weekend with our fairly large group (including toddlers and dogs) and found it to be spacious and comfortable. Not only was it spotless, but there were plenty of thoughtful details (toothpaste, soap, cereal, cookies, etc.) provided by the host. Furniture was well-appointed--and I slept in the most comfortable bed I've ever experienced in a short term rental. If I had to split hairs, my only gripe is that I think the pool table might have had a slight tilt to it? Would recommend 10/10.

Great Property!

Lovely home with easy access to downtown! Communication with host was excellent - incredibly kind and responsive. Game room was great and we loved all the special touches (the house had holiday decorations up when we visited in mid December). Highly recommend if you’re planning a trip to the area!

A beautiful home away from home!

We stayed here on a long weekend with friends (3 couples total) and had the best time! We had everything we needed, had plenty of space for each couple and loved the view, sauna, and living room especially. Additionally, the host replied so promptly to all of our questions. One of our party was in a wheelchair which works out fine as long as there is a strong person to push the chair up the grade to the parking area. We would all definitely stay here again!

Amazing

The house is beautiful and very accommodating. Everything was there to make us comfortable. They gave us so much - shampoo, makeup removal, toothbrushes, and amazing lip cream tubes. Only thing I wish was some lotion missing. The kitchen was fully stocked. A big toy box we found for our 18 month old grandson! Love, live, live this house so much! Thank yiu

Exceptional home and property

My 3 brothers and I planned a retreat together without spouses to connect and share old memories. We chose Geeta's home because it looked perfect, and it was! There was plenty of space, bedrooms and bathrooms to provide private and shared time. One of my brothers loved his 'man cave', the downstairs area with table games, TV, and a bed and bath. The kitchen was large and easy to cook in, the living room spacious and comfortable, with lovely views. Geeta's communication was excellent and very timely each time we had a question, and she provided many helpful and useful amenities for us to enjoy our stay. Highly recommended!

Birthday Getaway

Beautiful property the views made me feel like I was in posh treehouse. Close to town which made it easy to visit town. Sleep masks, lip balm, extra tooth brushes and lots of little extras. The game room was lots of fun. I had no idea my husband of 30 years was so good at pool! Thank you Geeta! Appreciated your hospitality!

Our home is very special as it is a custom built home from the 70's by the Lancaster family of Nevada City. It sits on 1 Acre and is surrounded by beautiful tall redwoods and pines. The home has been updated with beautiful touches. We took over the home in December of 2021 and have furnished it with Mid Century Modern Decor to stay true to the homes time period.

This property has something for everyone all year round. For the Winter, we get snow storms and the property is super cozy with 2 wood fireplaces and a cozy fire pit for those cool nights. For the Spring and Summer months, our guests can enjoy the near by Lake for Camping, fishing, water skiing and more. Additionally, you will be pleased to find many award winning wineries, restaurants and local attractions such as the Empire Mine only minutes from our home. During Christmas time, Nevada City holds it's annual Victorian Christmas and hosts thousands of excited guests from all over. If you want more, then you will surely enjoy all the special shops and boutiques Nevada City has to offer.
