Peaceful!

It was so great to be able to have somewhere comfortable and with a pool so relax in when we weren’t exploring. Tons of space as well, which was great for our big group!

The property was perfect for our group of 20! Dario was an amazing host, very accommodating and helpful with all our needs. The house is beautiful and the sunsets are amazing. Massages, karaoke and a personal chef on site rounded out the perfect week! We will be back!

Amazing vacation

I cant say enough about how great this property was! The property itself is in great condition, very clean, very accommodating, we had 13 people and all slept comfortably and still had space! We pool was perfect for lounging and experiencing the "Moses tide" at our area of the beach was great! Dario was super responsive and attentive to any questions or needs we had! Close proximity to stores, beaches and anything we needed! Would recommend to anyone and may consider using again! Thank you!

Family fun time!

We had a Group of 22 adults and have the best time at Calypso house! Dario and Erin were the most gracious of hosts. They were quick to respond to all of our needs. Be ready to walk up lots of stairs! We all got a good workout! The karaoke guy came the last night and we couldn’t have had a better way to end our trip with singing, dancing and lots of laughs! Would love to come back!

Stay Here!

Calypso House is absolute perfection and I couldn't recommend it more. It's beautiful, secluded, and easily accessible to everything by car. I have never felt more taken care of than by Dario, both in the weeks leading up to the trip (we had a LOT of questions as none of us had ever been to the Bahamas) and also during our stay. The villas are right on the beach, the pool was a perfect temperature, and the tiki bar was a favorite hangout spot. We had masseuses come to the property and jet-skis brought right to our beachfront! It was truly an epic stay. 10 of us all had more than enough space. Lamont Nixon was the best private driver and was so accommodating even though we changed our plans multiple times! Stay here--you won't regret it!!

WONDERFUL home away from the tourist zoo!

12 of us arrived early in Nassau awaiting a dive trip aboard the Aqua Cat. We needed a place to gather and relax for 3 days before heading out to sea. Found this GEM of a place. Communication with Dario ahead of time and during the stay was super efficient! Thanks for that! The "house" is actually four different villas that share a common pool and ocean area - perfect for our group! Everyone had their private areas and we could congregate together and enjoy the peace of the south shore. This home is away from the brouhaha of the tourist zoo on the north of the island, which was ideal for us. And that popular area was only a 20 minute drive at most away. There is a great grocery store right around the corner and a good liquor store to stock the house so we could enjoy adult beverages as we watched the stunning sunset each night. The shore is pristine and quiet. The sunsets were magnificent! And the fresh water pool was a perfect spot to perch and watch that sunset. I simply can't recommend this place highly enough! What a great find!

Easiest review I’ll ever write. Stay here. Stay here. Stay here. Our group of 10 loved every minute of our stay from the easy check in process & incredible communication with the owners through grilling out our own dinner several nights with the most incredible sunsets you’ll ever see all the way down to snorkeling and tidal pool adventures on the private beach. 30 minutes to the airport, 20 minutes to downtown. Very convenient while also being away from the tourist traps near the cruise ships. Book & Enjoy like our group did as it’s an incredible experience that welcomes you to the Bahamian island life

We are Dario and Erin and a few years ago we decided to take a leap and create the perfect getaway location by purchasing an abandoned fixer upper. As we got into the working details we fell in love with the location and the results and ever since we have enjoyed sharing our work with hundreds of travelers looking for a peaceful charming retreat by the sea. Our plan is to purchase and develop a few more of the same in different remote locations.

Calypso House Estate sits right on the southeastern coastline at the end of a one street quiet neighborhood. to the west is red mangrove forestry, to the east is vacant land and to the south is nothing but ocean. Its truly a hidden gem in paradise. Calypso House is currently the first and only lodging facility sitting right on bonefish flats that connects directly with deep water ocean. This means parts of the coastline transform from flat areas to swimmable pockets of micro beach at high tide daily. Some travelers from around the world sit and watch this natural phenomenon in awe for hours.

It is truly a special place!

It is also one of the very few places you can literally fly fish right in the backyard. One of our experienced native guides would be happy to come to the property and show you an amazing time fishing the flats and sight seeing. No boat necessary for this adventure!
