Studio Carriage House au cœur de DC

Our recently renovated carriage house studio is located in one of DC's best neighborhoods, just two blocks from bustling 14th Street (Logan Circle), 17th Street (Dupont Circle), and U Street. There are plenty of bars, restaurants, and stores within a couple of blocks. It's also close to downtown DC with the White House about a mile away and the National Mall close by! Our studio is the perfect location for visiting friends, sightseeing, and exploring all that DC has to offer.

There are several bus stops nearby, two separate metro/subway stations that are each about a ten-minute walk, and multiple Capital Bikeshare stations a couple of blocks in all directions.

You access the carriage house studio via the alley behind our home. You enter through the garage by entering a garage door code. The studio is on the second floor. It is one large room with a kitchenette.

The kitchenette has a mini-fridge with freezer, microwave, hot plate, Keurig, and drip coffee maker. The studio itself has several windows, A/C, heat, a ceiling fan, ample closet space, and a combo washer & dryer. The full bathroom is in a separate room.

Please note that the studio has a steeper than normal staircase to enter and exit. The stairwell has a handrail and is well lit. The backyard courtyard cannot be used.

For the streets closest to the carriage house, we can provide you a free parking permit that allows you to park nearby in all areas marked as Zone 2 parking. In order to receive a permit, you can send us your state, license plate number, and make/color of your car. We will print you a copy of the permit that you can leave on the dashboard.

Please note that the parking permit is only valid on the surrounding streets and is not valid in all of DC. Please also pay close attention to street sweeping signs to avoid tickets. While the carriage house is located in one of DC’s safest neighborhoods, please do not leave anything visible in your car.

For public transportation, nearby there are bus stops, two metro/subway stations, multiple Capital Bikeshare stations, rentable electric scooters & bikes, and plenty of Ubers/Lyfts/taxis. It's also a very walkable area with ample street parking.

We loved the convenience of this location. Everything was very clean and I'm picky about where I stay. Google maps took me the wrong way but the host contacted me promptly. The address on vrbo was accurate but maps glitched. Very nice host's.

Loved the snacks that were provided. There is air conditioning. Towels were provided. Washer and dryer in the apartment. You can not park in the garage however they will provide you with a free parking pass if you message the host. 1.2 miles from the White House. Eat at Bo’s Burger!

Absolutely perfect stay for an extended business trip AND to be a tourist in my former home city. The central location in DC means you can walk just about anywhere. The carriage house itself was immaculate and roomy and had all necessities for my 10 day stay. Communication with the host was seamless and privacy was optimal! Any future business trips to DC and I would stay here rather than some of the downtown corporate hotels :)

We come to DC frequently to visit family and this was our 1st time staying here, it is the perfect place for us. Great location and everything has been thought of in this studio apartment. Alexander was a most gracious host and answered my questions promptly. Will be staying here again soon!

Amazing spot! Exactly as described, very clean and had everything you would need. Very nice hosts who were easy to communicate with. Perfect spot to access public transit and plenty of places to eat in the area including a Trader Joe’s about 5 min walking distance for when you want to eat-in. We loved our stay in this open loft space! We were in town to pray with the monks, and this space was perfect and cozy for my husband and I. Alexander was a lovely host; warm, inviting, and communicative to ensure we were able to get the most of our experience. The location, and nearby restaurants were such an added bonus. This unit was simple and had literally everything you could want. Luggage racks are so convenient. Laundry and drier. Even a mini ironing board. Great location. Minutes from 14 th and tons of great eats and cocktail lounges. Communication was so fast and very helpful.
