Right off 130 surrounded by lush jungle. We are ready to help you have the best adventure this side of Hawaii! 7 person hot tub & lots of cute feral jungle kitties on site.
3BDR/2BA FULL Access. Laundry Rm is SHARED w/ host.Cable High Speed Internet, snacks, avocados on site, AC in living rm . Make your own Waffle/Oatmeal bar. 10 miles to Mermaid Ponds & Kehena beach, 18 to Pohoiki Hot Springs 33 to Volcanoes NP, 1 mile to Fissure 8.
**POTENTIAL FOR NOISE**. There’s lots
of coqui frogs that croak at night. If any ever gets too close to bother me i will run a fan or put in ear plugs (both available)

3 bedrooms 2 baths. CAN HOLD UP TO 12 -However that’s tight. One BDR has a private entrance & bathroom. Each bedroom has a very soft memory foam queen bed. (One with extras twin bunk)
Living room has a sectional couch (sleeps 2, & blow up mattress option sleeps 2)

Screened lanai area/workout/dining has 2 twin beds
. Sleeping here is very much like glamping. & blowup twin option

Roku in the living room, master bedroom with Internet TV/Netflix/roku & firestick. Kitchen will be partially stocked. Lots of extra amenities not found elsewhere. From razors to raincoats, we've got you covered! If something is missing we will send Logan out to fetch it!

Please note that this property is in nature and there are lots of bugs such as ants & roaches. You may see some but , please know We are working on treating the yard to keep them in check.

First time visiting Pahoa? It’s a Hippie paradise ! We have a completely off grid community nearby that’s worth visiting, lots of yummy organic food options , a super cute downtown with lots of art and cool shops , a clothing optional beach , drum circles , farmers market on Sunday, Mermaid Ponds , Pohoiki hot springs, caves for exploring and of course Fissure. 8. (the crack the lava spewed out back in 2018 )and its less than 2 miles from our house. It’s a slow pace here so sit back , relax and let the adventure unfold.

Yearly Family Vacation

This property was absolutely perfect for our family. We enjoyed the location: not too far from amenities, but also not in a busy, congested area. Julie and her son were very helpful during our stay, offering suggestions on places to visit and making sure that we had everything we need.We have already recommended this place to several of our friends and when we visit the Big Island again, we will absolutely be staying at the Jungle Home!

Halloween party

It was very accommodating for me and my friends we had a costume party. It was wonderful, the place was very spacious and had lots of amenities. Privacy was nice and the jungle scenery was a huge relaxing plus. The host was very friendly and communicated very often. I would definitely stay again in this beautiful area.

Merrie Monarch Birthday Wish

We chose the Jungle House for our Merrie Monarch and birthday celebration. As a party of six, the Jungle House was the perfect spot for out family. Each person had their own bed. The lanai became our favorite gathering place. The property was clean and well organized. We enjoyed playing with the cats, watching roosters and pigs, and listening to the birds and frogs. The owner was quick to answer any questions, and even provided coupons to local places. We had a marvelous stay.

Don’t need to pack much/ they have it all at the house

What a well equipped comfortable stay. It had tons of beach gear to use, bbq girl., fire pit, board games, even toothbrushes if needed. Plenty of towels and bedding Stocked foods even!!! Thanks so much!!

Host is amazing!!!

Our host was more than helpful and always got back as quickly as possible when contacted. The house was clean. It was great to be able to do laundry. The jungle atmosphere and the sounds at night were amazing! We like to take the road less traveled so we loved the location being far from tourists. We loved getting up and driving local roads and finding hidden gems. I wish I had three hands so I could give the stay and my host three thumbs up!

This place has everything

This was one of the best vrbo stays I've ever booked. Every amenity you could desire to have this home has it. Easy to find. Safe location. Beautiful Natura lush front yard. Air conditioning. Tons of fans. They even had extra toothbrushes and toothpaste. Highly recommend this home.

Amazing Tropical Rainforest Retreat.

When I booked this house, I knew it was in the middle of the Hawaiian jungle rainforest and was excited to experience that with my family. I found the driveway and house address easily even though it was raining hard and after dark. When we parked in front of the unit and opened the doors of our rental car, we were overwhelmed by the night jungle sounds. It was a moment my family will not forgot. My 12-year-old daughter and 15-year-old son were visibly nervous and slept in the same room that night with a light on. When we woke in the morning, we were surrounded by an amazing jungle full of life and bright Hawaiian sun. We all fell in love with the place. My daughter asked to sleep in the outdoor veranda. Peeper frogs, morning rooster calls, and a super friendly cat that loves to cuddle. (We named her Tiki). Thank you for the opportunity to stay at your jungle home.

Rainforest retreat

Excellent location for Hilo side of island vacation. We enjoyed the sounds at night especially the Coqui frogs. Clean property with plenty of hot water for showers. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Will stay there again on our next trip.

My son is a co-host that lives on site and can take you anywhere you'd like to go for $20/hr. He's a very good tour guide and will make sure your stay is the best ever! My mom also stays in the guest house part time. She's a lovely lady and loves meeting new people!
